Top 3 most boring matches this Worldcup?
Yes... I added a questionmark to suit my own comment, lol XD But at least it will get interesting.
So yeah, hard to say... There has been a ton of matches that had extremely boring first halves but picked themselves up in the second half but few that were boring all-around I'd say, but still, I'll try... Only counting the ones I've seen though and that I recall from the top of my head, as I've deliberately missed some of them or been at work for others.
Top 3 Boring/Disappointing Matches (in order);
1; Denmark 0-0 France (the only 0-0 match in the tournament so far. The 2nd half the most boring of the entire tournament).
2; Iceland 0-2 Nigeria (the first half alone puts it on the list, Nigeria attempted 0 shots! And Iceland, well... Iceland is Iceland).
3; England 0-1 Belgium (reserves vs reserves, it was kind of expected, but still the potential it could have had made it even more disappointing).
Agree? Disagree? Any matches missing?
Oh and let me add to that by putting up my
Top 3 games so far;
1; Belgium 3-2 Japan (the best 2nd half in recent memory).
2; Spain 3-3 Portugal (two teams that seemingly threw defense out the window and just went for it, having much to prove. Explosive from the start to finish).
3; France 4-3 Argentina (counter-attacking football at its finest, but also some dreamy FIFA like long-shots to top as the iceing on the cake).
Last remaining fav on the other side of the fixture survived xd
Carry on England, prove to the underdogs and non-favs what is to be a top team of world football. Top teams always made to the final. Crush the underdogs' dream like you crashed Colombia's dream.
You know, despite being such an underdog, England might actually make it, lol. Just because of the path they have before them. In fact, every team on that side of the bracket has a chance at reaching the final by the pure luck of the pre-made draw, and maybe just like Portugal in the Final of the Euro 2016, they only need to play beyond capabilities in one game to win it, but then again, I don't think we'll have a repeat of that so with that said, I'll now say that England will lose in the final, haha, just to make it worse, mhm...
