You're being stupid. Kakashi, without the Sharingan wouldn't have 1000+ techniques. And most of them are probably all useless and not effective techniques. You're underrating Gai - Sharingan (Not Mangekyo) Kakashi =< Gai.

i don't agree that kakashi without sharingan is stronger than gai but i agree that considering current ms kakashi and gai are in the same level because just they are rivals is unfair
we should compare between their powers
for example
kakashi has kamui and use it well now ,he used it before kuarma chkara 6 times with 6 raiki,2 light chain,shadow clones,earth jutus,sharingan all time
in the other hand ,gai has hiudora and he can use it one time only in a fight
notene kamui >>one hiudora (can you compare more than 6 kamui with one hiudura??!!)

You cant assume guy will reccklessly fire off hiroudora knowing kakahsi has something that can get rid of it if hes focused. Guy wouldnt exert himself to that degree because he knows kakashis techniques and menouvors.
Just look at morning peacock. That move can potencially baffle kakashi if not fataly wound him. What counter would he have for that?
But back on topic gai overall is a better fighter without gates (powerup) where as kakashi now a days relies on his power-up (sharingan)

Again, why would gai even need to use hirouda if he knows kakashi can dodge it? he would simple rely on speed since this is what kakashi would struggle to keep up with even WITH sharingan. If kakashi goes to other demension then no ones getting anywhere and it takes up a crap load of chakra

kakashi can deal with gai's speed as kakashi can open at least first gate and has the advantage of sharingan's noting
gai can't use 6th gate(as speed)for long time ,he always close it immediately
kakashi was able to deal with the speed of 5 jins v2
you underestimate sharingan's noting skills and kakashi's taijutsu ,even KCM naruto said it is so hard to fought sharingan's user when he fought edo jins

Kakashi has better speed feats than Gai. His shunshin is greater. Gai was incapable to tag a armless Deidara despite having his entire team fighting him. He may be faster in gates, but Sharingan can see through high speed movements with relative ease unless you reach the level of speed of V2 Raikage. Reason why Gai developed strategys to fight effectively against Sharingan. On the other side, Kakashi is much more complete as a ninja than Gai. Gai can't even recognise kawarimi or Kage Bunshin no jutsu. Just imagine if he gets caught by a Raiton Kage Bunshin while fighting a clone without knowing. It will leave him paralyse and open for a raikiri through the chest.

Gai speed is out of Kakashi league , known fact........... When he fought pain he couldnt predict his movements , otherwise he wouldn't have died. Where was it stated he closes them instantly because he can't keep them up? no reason to keep them open when you don't need .

Thats true about the bushins but sharingan has never shown to keep up with gates speed? sharingan can t even keep up with bees kenjutsu although its still impressive. If gai knows about the bushin clones then he will be most cautios about attacking kakashi and in saying that he can use his surrondings to get rid of clones. e.g strong fist into the ground to depleate bushins durability thus making it dissapear ect. If it were that easy to defeat gai kakashi would have done it long ago in their duels and if he did that confirmed that gai knnows about his raiton bushins
what is the first gate going to do for him? i could understand if he could enter at least 3 because thats when speed increases. 5 gates is all gai needs to blitz kakashi. If taka sasukes sharingan is better than current kakashis in terms of keeping up with his foe and struggled on bees kenjutsu then gais speed in gates i ssure to devastate kakashi.
The jins were being controled and never necuesssarily used speed feats. It was mostly power feats which i admit kakashi was a beast for dealing with them but gates is a new level of speed. Show me a scan where the sharingan can keep up with something as fast as 5 gates. Its good and well you noting something but if you can evade it hen its pointless
sasuke was able to deal with V1 raikage's speed and he would have killed him with chidori but for lighting armor
KCM naruto himself said it is hard to fight sharingan's user because of their skills in noting and reading ,naruto said too he should be hit by their attacks(edo jins before using any chakra of biju) so that they can attack them too
sasuke was able to deal with V1 bee's speed but bee hit him with trick
kakashi was able to deal with V2 EDO jins
so sharingan with good speed can dodge high level speed
