Performance After listening to sensei's instructions, shikamaru quickly takes out a scroll out of his pocket. After that he channels raw chakra into his hands and applies nature manipulation to convert it into Earth based chakra. He then releases this chakra into the scroll. After that he places the scroll hidden on the ground right where he was standing. Shikamaru then quickly moves several meters back as the clone is still running towards him. As the clone comes near the scroll that shikamaru had placed on the ground, his chakra causes interaction with the scroll and scroll becomes activated. As the scroll is activated three wolves made out of mud start to emerge out of it. As the clone had run past the scroll he had no idea what was happening behind him. Wolves attack the clone from back and take him by surprise. They shred him into pieces before he gets dispersed leaving behind a layer of white smoke.

Advantages
1. The most important advantage is that this technique is a dormant technique.
2. It becomes activated by opponents chakra. So, if done right opponent usually won't even notice it until it's too late.
3. This technique can be used to take opponent by surprise or even attacking him head on, even though that would be less practical.
4. Range is wide. So basically user can set this is a trap while trying to run away.
Disadvantages
1. Requires one turn to set up.
2. Works only if opponent doesn't see the scroll setting. Otherwise he would completely just avoid it.
Uses
Well this technique is pretty awesome. It has several practical uses as I mentioned above in the advantages. With main being taking the opponent by surprise or setting up a trap while running away.
Question?
Since the wolves can reform themselves, How would you completely destroy them?
I am guessing that for this one we would need a B-Rank Raiton technique instead of normal C-Rank requirement, basically just due to the durability of wolves. And will also have to destroy them completely as they might emerge from half injuries. Am I right?

After that he manipulates nearby lying stones using this chakra to attach to his bodya and cover him completely like an armor. As he does this the clone had come close to him. Shikamaru also sees his sensei using a fire ball jutsu. The clone tries to attack him shikamaru avoids his kick and gives him a round house kick on the back. The shear strength of kick due to being enhanced by armor was more than the clone could handle and he disperses. Shikmaru was automatically protected from the fireball justu due to being in armor that is strong enough to protect him from fire.

Advantages
This is pretty good technique for enhancing the taijutsu based attacks in close range fights. Well more practical use would be if user is higher ranked then his opponent and has higher speed than opponent as well. Still this technique also provides safety against some ninjutsu attacks. Protects from the bigger impact of taijutsu attacks and can even stop weapons like kunai or shuriken etc. Also it doesn't require any hand seal which makes it even more efficient.
Disadvantages
While being clad by armor, user's speed decreases. He becomes highly susceptible to Raiton based attacks. The armor helps only in short range taijutsu attacks and some other short range attacks, but basically range is still short. Also user will require to be in rocky terrain to find hard enough rocks. In a grassland or in a water terrain this technique cannot be used.
Uses
Really practical to use in short range taijutsu attacks to increase the damage. The technique is even more fruitful if user is higher ranked and has higher speed than his opponent. So, that the speed decrease from armor may not have much effect on him.

The user whilst in this armor is resistant to B rank ninjutsu techniques but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.
"The next technique is quite similar to Earth Release Armor. However, this one requires you to form the Tiger hand seal and channel your Earth chakra throughout your entire body. This hardens your skin to a steel like quality, which increases your defensive qualities, and also increases your physical power. As an effect of the technique, your skin gets a dark like color. However, you'll be quite vulnerable to Lightning techniques. Use it to tank this!"

After a mere moment later he applies shape manipulation to give his body hard steel like hardness due to the earth chakra. Shikamaru's skin started appearing darker in colour. As he turned toward sensei to show his success, he saw his sensei using a water type attack at him. Shikamaru immediately knew that this technique wouldn't harm him as water was weaker to earth, so he just stood there while channeling chakra in his feet to remain attached with the ground and not get swept away with water. Since his skin was also strong like steel, he hardly even felt the strike of water.

1. An interesting technique for short range taijutsu fighters.
2. A good defensive technique, but can be used for attacking purposes.
3. More practical than the other armor technique, as it does not increase body weight as much as other technique.
4. Increase body durability and strength.

1. Makes user highly endagered against Raiton techniques.
Uses
This technique is pretty awesome. It can be used for defense against Suiton techniques and Taijutsu based attacks. It also provides protection against ninja tools like Kunais and shurikens to some extent.

4. Opponent won't really know what technique I am using untill the moment the rocks cause some sort of tremor in the ground, so anyone would need to think quite a way to dodge this on RP. 5. Though I am not quite sure about this one, but I think I should be able to use this technique to launch myself in the air. And since I will be well aware and be ready by channeling the chakra into ground I won't get any damage.
Disadvantages
1. Can only be used upto mid range, though it is not really a disadvantage.
Uses
A good technique which can be used to attack. This technique can also be used to block opponents view by making rocks appear in front of him.

5. Portal type attacks are OP. And provide a great amount of surprise factor.

1. Can only be used upto mid range.

Uses
This technique is pretty awesome. It has it's own advantages but when used in conjunction with other techniques the damage dealt to opponent is greatly increased.

The chakra is focused above the clone, which causes a portal like opening to form above the clone. From this opening a massive boar shaped solid earthen lid falls on the clone. The shear size and weight of the lid is too much for the clone to bear and he disperses leaving behind white smoke.

The earth arising around all the sides of the clone meets above the clone to completely trap him within. Shikamaru makes sure to leave a small opening within the dome shaped earth that was formed to be able to completely see the clone's movements.

3. Is very weak technique and can easily be over powered by weak lightning attacks.
Uses
Technique has it's uses as well as disadvantages. But in my honest opinion the disadvantages might be a tad more than advantages. Hence I don't see myself using this technique much. As once I use this technique the opponent might get out of the back or he might even escape underground using Hiding like a Mole.
Performance
After listening to his Sensei's instructions, shikamaru quickly performs Ram hand seal starts channeling raw chakra into his feet and applies nature manipulation to convert it into Doton chakra. After that as the sensei creates the clone shikamaru releases chakra into the ground below the clone and applies shape manipulation to causes the ground around the clone to be sucked inwards towards a huge pit that is the epicenter. The flow of earth towards the center causes clone to be pulled towards the center, and is sucked underground deep. The earth keeps on flowing in the epicenter and covers the center completely causing the clone to be trapped and consequently be suffocated and disperse.

The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

This allows you to create a gigantic rampart, that forms from beneath your feet, and the shape of the rampart can be anything from level ground to a steep, needle-like mountain, depending on what you need at the moment. Due to this shikamaru gets on a higher ground then the clone. The clone tries to run up the huge rampart using his chakra. As he is half way shikamaru uses Earth Release: Stone Spikes to causes several spikes to protrude from the rampart of earth and skewer the clone making him disperse.

Well this technique is pretty awesome and is one of my favorite techniques. It has lot of practical uses and is good for both defense and supplementary purposes. As I said above uses of this technique are limited only by the imagination of user.

After a moment he applies nature manipulation to convert this chakra into doton chakra. After that shikamaru performs Tiger → Hare → Boar → Dog hand seals and releases the chakra from his mouth and spats a liquidy mud like substance on the ground. After that shikamaru manipulates this mud to create a huge wall of earth that rises in front of him. And it would be pointless to use it against your clone as he is just running towards me. Not attacking in a way or anything.

4. Though technique itself is great and all, but the fact that it is B-Rank makes it weaker to C-Rank Raiton.
Uses
A great defensive technique to be used against Water and Fire techniques, which has even more potential to be used if you are a Dojutsu user or a Sensory type.

Description: The user will first perform the Tiger → Hare → Boar → Dog and then creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defense. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water. Hizuren Sarutobi spits mud from his mouth to perform the jutsu whilst Kakashi creates a wall composed of bulldog sculptures to box-in Pain.
"Now, the next technique allows you to blend into rocks, or move inside them and out, undetected, only though Doujutsu and Sensor types can a person be sensed though. Using your Earth chakra, you will blend into C rank and below Earthen structures, and can only blend into rock or solid earth. Use it to blend into some of those rocks over there. *Points*."

After going to the rocks shikamaru stands alongside the rock with his back touching the rocks. After that releases little of his chakra from his back into the rock and manipulates the rock in such a way that his body starts merging with the rock. After a little time his body had completely merged with the rock. He then moves within thos rock and comes on the other side of the rocks completely undetected by the clone

Uses
A great defensive and supplementary technique to use when the opponents eye view is blocked. Allows to move from one place to other undetected. And can be used to make lots of strategic attacks.

Performance After listening to sensei's instructions, shikamaru quickly starts channeling raw chakra into his feet. After a moment he applies nature manipulation to convert this chakra into doton chakra. After that shikamaru performs Bird hand seal and releases the chakra from his feet into the ground below and manipulates the earthen rocks to condense. After that as the clone comes near shikamaru manipulates the condensed rock to protrude from the ground in the form of a spike and skewers the clone. This causes the clone to disperse.

Advantages
1. A good offensive technique to use against charging opponents.
2. Is not detected until after it comes out of the earth. excluding dojutsu and sensory ninja.
3. Requires only one hand seal.
Disadvantages
1. Is weak against C-Rank Raiton techniques.
Uses
A good offensive technique which most of the time comes off as a surprise.

The limitation of the technique is that it cannot be used to meld into other types of earth than rock or solid earth and its not a very fast technique, despite being faster than Underground Projection Fish technique.

"Now, a technique specifically used in caves where you will form the Tiger → Rat → Snake hand seals and manipulate your Earth based chakra. This allows you to take out a vital stone, or construct in a cave, in order to cause a massive cave in. This brings down the cave onto the opponent, due to disrupting the equilibrium. Use it against my clone."

"After that, stomp the ground to cause some chunks of rock to rise and head towards the opponent. You will then use a Fire technique, in order to ignite the rocks and cause an explosion once the rocks hit the opponent. Use it against my clone."

After that he performs Tiger → Rat → Snake hand seals and puts his hands on a certain point in the cave. HE grabs the stone and pulls it outward effectively breaking it away from the cave structure. This causes disruption in the otherwise normal cave structure and brings the cave down. The several stones and rocks fall down on the clone and damage him. the damage is too much for the clone to sustain and makes him disperse.

Advantages
1. In the ongoing battle this technique doesn't really have any advantage unless the terrain is specific.
2. Though in a war between villages where terrain is not limited, this technique can be used.
3. Can also be used as a trap tactic in battles where there is more than two people involved. Where one person creates the cave and other partner take the opponent into cave by tricking him.
Disadvantages
1. This technique is pretty much useless unless you have a cave or a certain construct on the battle field.
Uses
Sorry but I don't really have much knowledge on this technique.
Performance After listening to sensei's instructions, shikamaru quickly starts channeling raw chakra in his right foot. After a moment shikamaru applies nature manipulation to convert his chakra into Doton chakra. After that shikamaru stomps his foot on the ground releasing all the chakra from it. This causes chunks of rock to lift up from the ground. Shikamaru then causes these chunks of rocks to move towards the clone of sensei. As the chunks of rock are moving towards the clone shikamaru uses Fire Ball Jutsu to get the rocks to fire up. The rocks when hit the clone, burst causing a huge explosion. Thus causing damage to clone and making him disperse.

If you don't mind I will give the advantages and rest of the stuff for this technique in my next reply for next techniques. As my laptop is really acting up for last two days and it shuts off automatically. This is third time I had to rewrite all this stuff.

Description: The user will stomp the ground to lift of chunks of rock which he will then send at the opponent. Then, by using a fire style technique, he will cause them to ignite into burning rock chunks which explode on contact with the enemy.

This pillar is a bit different from a normal one, as it has an electrical charge, which causes electrical bolts to be emitted from it. These bolts are emitted up to Short range from the pillar, shocking any in the vicinity. Use it against my clone."

"After that, focus your Earth chakra into the ground and cause 2 large rock cubes, around 2 meters squared, to rise. After that he performs a set of four hand seals and slams his hands on the ground to cause a pillar of rock rise from the ground. Then as the clone comes near the pillar shikamaru using his raiton chakra applies electrical charge to the pillar. This causes several electrical bolts to be emitted from the pillar within it's short range. The bolts of lightning electrocute the clone, since he was in the short range from the pillar. This electrocution makes the clone disperse, leaving behind little smoke screen.

Since the opponent will feel the vibrations from the ground when pillar rises. So he will naturally move away from the place of pillar. Thus avoiding electrical discharges.

After that he focuses this chakra into ground below him and applies shape manipulation causing two cubes of rock to arise from the ground. These rocks are C-Rank individually and levitate around shikamaru, providing him protection from several attacks. As the clone gets near him, shikamaru quickly manipulates the rocks and sends them flying towards the clone and knocking him out using the clone. This impact with rocks causes clone to disperse.

This technique has lots of uses. Atack, defense and several different to performs these things as well. Anyway only regret is that this technique is B-Rank and thus by default weak to C-Rank lightning.

"Now, the next technique, form the Ram → Dog → Rat hand seals and manipulate your Earth based chakra. You will then place your hand onto the ground, and create an arena around you and your opponent. The arena is 15 meters in circumference, and is about 4 meters high. The floor, wall and ceiling are all chakra reinforced, but it can easily be broken, by damage above C rank. This technique is more for show, than anything. Its not very strong, but its nice to add that feel to the fight. Use it."

This can be used to create trenches, or even barricades. Its a nice technique to slow down the opponent, as you prepare another technique from above. Use it against my clone."

Then he releases chakra from his hands into the earth and manipulates it via shape manipulation to create a 15 meter wide circular arena around him and sensei. The walls of arena are 4 meters high. This presented a nice feeling of being in an arena, but shikamaru used a lightning technique and destroyed the arena making it disappear in a puff of smoke.

He then uses shape manipulation and manipulates the ground below the clone that was running towards him to shake making him lose balance and fall on the ground. Shikamaru also created some trenches in clone's way to borrow sometime for his next strategy.

"Now for the last B rank technique. You will start off by manipulating your Earth based chakra, and causing three rocks to rise in front of you. You will then send these three rocks towards the opponent, but cause them to separate, and then slam into each other right in front of the opponent. This sends rock particles towards the opponent. A nice technique, but a bit impractical. Use it against my clone."

"Now for the first A rank, you will manipulate your Earth based chakra and slam your hands onto the ground. This allows you to create a reinforced version of the Mud wall technique, where you create multiple walls of Earth. These walls have greater defense capabilities of course, and is done by manipulating an existing source of Earth, instead of releasing it from your mouth like with Mud wall. Use it to tank this."
