Its u who states that endurance is the ability to withstand pain or suffering for a long time. ,but then they would have to receive certain physical damage to the body in the first place......if a person has high durability , he wouldnt even bleed in boxing or in football matches after being smacked . In short , endurance is mental whereas durability is physical

Sorry for thinking you made this thread after coming from a thread where I said exactly what you're trying to clear up. Question did you get the idea for this thread out of nowhere or did others on the raikage thread give you motivate.nvm idgaf really. Btw has anyone ever told you you're annoying?
I actually don't even know who you are..... to be honest..

And you believe you are an angel from heaven.. I mean right now you are annoying me? So do i give a f*ck? no..

And i actually got the idea from reading KINGDOM, which i am still doing while posting here. Houken is a man who is similar to him. And then my buddy reminded me of this. And then I saw the who can beat the 3rd Raikage thread..and bam.

This has been on my mind for a long time. I simply didn't bother with it.

To those who dont agree, you are partially right.

They are interchangeable and they mean the same thing. But one is usually associated with things and the other with people. You are not completely wrong if you use one or the other, but remember that one fits a bit better with a certain context than the other. So no need to worry.

Sir you do know, that isn't the problem here right? Did you even read the thread, or decided to post without reading?

Thread talks about the misuse of the word durability, and how people don't use it in the same context as Endurance.. While it is endurance..

First. Naruto characters aren't real.

Second. Not every part of a human is "living". I can have durable abs because they are immune to damage and harm. Humans are durable from attacks, objects don't get attacked therefore are durable from nature.

Actually, you are wrong on this.

Durable = able to get into physically rough situations without taking damage or much damage
Endurable = being able to survive and endure the tough situation despite taking damage

Examples: Raikages are durable because their lightning cloaks prevent them from taking damage. Kakuzu is durable because his Domu prevents most attacks from piercing him and giving him damage. Sakura, Tsunade, Kisame, and Hidan are endurable, meaning they can endure pain and tough situations (the first three through self-healing, Hidan through his immortality and love of pain.)

Dude, durable is the root word of endurance. Why so butthurt over a definition?

With the time spent researching the definitions of similes, you probably could have found a counter to whatever debate made you so upset.

I'm glad someone actually gets it, + rep

They mean the same thing. And there is such thing as a Durable Person, its a also a social/psychological term or a person who is able to accept their imperfections and other peoples gifts. Its even used by professors and other educated individuals. Hash is mad about something else.

It cannot be endurance if the person encased in Doton:Domu in unable to fell pain and suffering when they actually should; solely due to the mentioned Jutsu making their skin durable to what ever extent. It is an un-natural occurrence and biologically----'humanly' [for use of a more contextual word] impossible and only possible upon the body due to an external element: The jutsu itself; which can then be objectified.
Then you aren't talking about the person, you are talking about a specific part about the person. You can't say that character is durable. You can say his body is more durable, now that is also not true, when we don't know if their body can survive a specific disease that other's who don't have a hard body like them can..

Being Durable in a human sense is to keep going and still be standing. Hence why i stated it is used in sports all the time, as a replacement of the word endurance.

Also you seem to be believe feeling pain == the pain being actually there or the damage actually being there..

But here is the thing, how is that durability? If that person gets knocked out without even bleeding, how is he more durable? He wasn't even able to keep on fighting and standing.. he certainly isn't more durable.

Sorry but who told you endurance = only mental? Endurance is the combination of mentality and Stamina.

- I stated my point, i'm not here for this petty flame war, or the butthurt caused by this FACT.. that is universal in the english language. Your failure to use it correct is your responsibility.

- @Necro, yea i am butthurt because i'm trying help people out right?

- Its funny, that people wanna bash me for this, when i had to accept the samething.. rofl. So what if you weren't using it right? grow the f*ck up and use it right. If you still don't want to .. your choice i hardly give a F*ck about it.

- I stated what i wanted, you can argue all you want over a universal fact.

Second. Not every part of a human is "living". I can have durable abs because they are immune to damage and harm. Humans are durable from attacks, objects don't get attacked therefore are durable from nature.
Then you aren't talking about someone as a whole.. Different point from the thread, which i really don't care about..

And i suggest you get into sports before saying "humans are durable from attacks".. No trainer or anyone will use the word durable to say you have a strong body.. sorry but no.

he always tries to shove his opinions down others throats and his threads are always poor

Its funny more than 90% of you here do the same, while i'm simply stating something is a FACT. Not my opinion. If it was my opinion i would have stated "According to me".. or "i believe".. I suggest you hit dictionary fast.

Oh man you are butthurt.

In fact at football practice today my coach told us to get durable feet in order to kick harder. Durable = able to withstand pressure and force.

I'm also in several engineering classes, so if you want to get technical I'm all for it.

The character is the person and and is what I am referring to, KingHashirama. It is a fact that Jutsu can bring about changes within a characters physical composition that makes them durable. It is erroneous of you to say that durability cannot be applied to character's in the NV. The greatest example of the reason 'why'...

Kh;dr

Durability= strength of the body. Ability to tank attacks without being impaired or noticeable change in body structure.

Endurance= how long one can last. Specially in this context how effectively one controls chakra/manages Chakra pool in fights.

Third raikage has the record for both.

Durability= survived mabui's tech without cloak and without taking any noticeable damage

Endurance= stalled an army for three days.

I find it very plausible that KH was out of facts to present in a debate, and so started ranting about the differences between durability and endurance, after which he stormed out of the thread.

No one's bashing you (at least I'm not). It's just that this matter is so trivial that making a thread for it seems pointless.

This is an internet forum, not an English class.

I think you are confusing endurance, endure, and durability. While endurance (noun) is the act, quality, or power of withstanding hardship or stress, to endure (verb) is the ability to carry on through, despite hardships. However, durability (adj.) is being capable of withstanding wear and tear or decay.

Endurance =/= endure =/= durability

Simply endurance is a noun; it does not describe the character. To endure is the character's ability to withstand, while durability is the description of the character's endurance.

When people talk about durability they refer to the body as an object separate from mental endurance, I guess.
I agree with what you said though.

(This is the last post now. since you wanna claim something you obviously don't know nothing about.)

The fact you are in a engineering class isn't helping you, since the world durable is applied to non-living objects such as metal. And i myself am in Aviation engineering major classes also.. So yea we can talk about it if you want.. but the thing its gonna irrelevant to the thread now.

Your couch didn't say get HARDER feets.. he said durable. And if he said that good for him..then clearly he needs hit the dictionary also. Because so far, in my 6 years of football, Durability has always been a reference to the ability to get back up and keep on going. Not body..

Because here is the thing, Disease really gives no F*ck about if you hard body or not.. it gives a f*ck about your cells your enzymes and your immunity to it.. And that is my point here.

Don't take him to school like that.
