(Doton/Raiton: Denki Iwabashira) - Earth/Lightning Release: Electric Rock Pillar
How to perform it
  • Once senpai was done with his instructions, Jayce quickly gathered his earth nature chakra and immediately after that he proceeded by performing a set of four hand seals and quickly placed his hand on the ground thus creating a pillar of earth to rise up from the ground. He gave it an electrical charge, that caused electric bolts to be emitted from the pillar up to short range from the pillar, shocking the nearby group of dummies, which were close to the pillar.
Strong points

  • Basically a combo in 1 move which is simply amazing.
  • Once again it has many applications and it is a good combo technique.
Weak points

  • The handseals are too much and are for sure a cons.
  • It can't be used in long range and bolts only reach up to short range.
How to counter

  • I would personally go for using the timeframe and not allowing my opponent to use this techniques. Otherwise you can use a wind technique to cut all the earth pillars.

(Doton: Ukiwagan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Floating Ring Rock Technique
How to perform it
  • As senpai was done with his explanation, Jayce once again swiftly began by focusing his chakra and channeling it into the earth to create two large floating rock cubes, 2 meters squared, which were both giant and powerful looking. The cubes started rotating around Jayce himself and he afterwards send them successfully, by using hand movements towards, towards the two nearby dummies, hitting them both and destroying them.
Strong points

  • There range is amazing.
  • No handseals is a pro for sure.
Weak points

  • It can easily be destroyed by a lighting technique.
  • It's a rather straightforward technique once again.
How to counter

  • Obviously a technique which hits more than 1 target, meaning a C rank lighting or a B rank wind.

An interesting technique. After performing the hand seals and placing hands on the ground the user will summon a very large 4 meter tall wall which acts as an arena that surrounds the user and opponent. Its 15 meters long, making it long range. The wall are very weak and a basic attack towards them will disperse the walls. This is great to alter the terrain in your favor depending on how the opponent and yourself is using it. Its good to stop an opponent from pushing back to evade your attacks. They are virtually going to be trapped and unable to move around freely. You get an even higher advantage if you are faster then the opponent. It can also break the opponent away from resources he/she might depend on, like a water source if they are a hardcore water user.


(Doton: Tetsu Keimusho no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Iron Prison Technique

If these prison receives any damage above C-Rank, they disappear in a puff of smoke.




( Doton: Jimen Bunretsu no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Ground Splitting Technique

Description: After forming the necessary hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger , the user slams their hands into the ground which causes the earth to erupt upwards or downwards below their target's feet. This technique can also effectively create barricades by creating large trenches or linear elevations that would take quite some time for a regular person to surmount.

Basic technique, after the opponent does the hand seals and slams their hands on the ground, earth will begin to violently jag up from the ground and erupt towards the targets feet like a stream, meaning you must keep your hands on the ground until it gets to the opponents feet. Now when it reaches the opponent rocks will begin to jag up and hit the feet on the opponent injuring them and hurting their speed, they will also lose balance at the same time most likely falling to the ground. The tear through the earth travels very quickly. Also you can anticipate the opponents evasion will be to jump up into the air so using a above attack as a combo would be good. It takes some time to perform. Its basic in its abilities but can be put to good use.


( Doton: Ganseki Shuriken ) - Earth Release: Rock Shuriken

Description: Onoki uses his earth chakra to lift a big quantity of debris and rock from the ground nearby. After making it rotate, forming a fast spinning disk of rotating rocks and debris, he flings it at the target with enormous speed.

Its a basic projectile technique very fast to perform and simple. The user will rise a rock from the ground which from their you can use as a shield and/or attack the opponent with it as a projectile making it combo friendly. Its most noticeable abilities is it moves a long range and its fast moving as well. Other then this its quite basic and simple. The rocks spin fast and can seriously harm an opponent. Its very fast moving as well.


( Doton: Shonyuseki ) - Earth Release: Stalactite

Damage poinnts: 40
Description: The user manipulates their chakra creating three huge rocks infront of them. The user will then unleash the three huge rocks coming from three different angles from infront of the enemy to smash into each other causing segements to start protruding from the collision and damaging the opponent.

Another pretty simple jutsu, the user will summon 3 huge rocks that are larger the the user and send the rocks as projectiles towards the opponent. You can send the rocks however you want which makes it handy its a quick jutsu and is great to use with combos. The rocks have the force to crush the opponents bones as well as push them back. A note is though the jutsu itself is B-Rank, each rock is C-Rank power so be weary of that.

Strong points

  • As you said you can limit a water user from his water source, which is very nice ability.
  • Not bad defence and it can be used in long range which is also good.
Weak points

  • The technique is really vulnerable to lighting release techniques.
  • Obviously requires a handseals and someone strikes you with a lighting technique without handseals you are pretty much done.
How to counter

  • A simple lighting-release technique or a decent taijutsi combined with wind chakra for the sharper hit with foot or hand.

  • It's pretty cool technique after all, I can think of some useful combos to follow after it.
  • Can be used in more than one way; that's always a pro.
Weak points

  • Way too many handseals for this technique.
  • Can't be used in long range.
How to counter

  • I assume that you can basically throw a wind blast towards the ground to get yourself into the sky, at enough height the technique won't damage you.

( Doton: Ganseki Shuriken ) - Earth Release: Rock Shuriken
How to perform it
  • As senpai was done with his instructions, Jayce once again swiftly gathered and focused his earth-nature chakra and used it to lift a big quantity of debris and rock from the ground, the battlefield on which Jayce was standing was perfect for that.. After making it rotate, forming a fast spinning disk of rotating rocks and debris, he flings it at the senpai's clone at enormous speed thus dispersing his clone upon contact.
Strong points

  • It can be used in every range and it is a fast technique to perform.
  • No handseals required is always good as I like to say.
Weak points

  • Basic projectile technique that is extremely week to lighting release.
  • It doesn't really gives you any interesting uses other than the straightforward attack.
How to counter

  • Lightning release, C rank or higher will work perfectly.

( Doton: Shonyuseki ) - Earth Release: Stalactite
How to perform it
  • As senpai was done with his explanation, Jayce started by focusing chakra all over his body then converting it to earth-nature chakra. Next he swiftly manipulated his chakra in such manner that he created three huge rocks in front of him. He then unleashed the three huge rocks coming from three different angles from in front of the target, senpai's clone, and smashed them into each other causing segments to start protruding from the collision and damaging the target causing the clone to disperse upon contact.
Strong points

  • The range is not bad and the technique has some charm behind it.
  • Great offensive technique with no handseals required.
Weak points

  • Can't be used in long range.
  • It is very vulnerable to lighting release techniques.
How to counter

  • I suppose that one can use the timeframe as his advantage and counter the 3 rocks with either wind blade or lighting blast techniques, before the rocks hit and go into the segment part of the technique.

Okay so it seems you have an understanding with earth, I don't like how you were taught four techniques at a time, but no matter.

We will use the same method as last, you know what that is.

(Doton: Tajū Doryūheki) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudwall Technique

Description: Like the parent technique, it creates a reinforced wall of earth to be used as a defensive mechanism. However, the technique works in a different manner. Using a pre-existing source of earth, it allows the user to create multiple walls of earth, further fortifying their defense instead of forming a single wall, by slamming his hands on the ground.

In short this is a earthen wall like it's parent technique, but it uses earth from the ground instead of your mouth, also creates more then one wall in front of you, so maximum protection.

When we talk about defensive earth release techniques there is not a lot that it can be said about them. Using a pre-existing source of earth is the only disadvantage about this technique, because a good opponent will know how to control the battlefield and by creating a water source under you, using such technique will be a no go. Overall I would say that the technique is decent for sure, since it is always good to have a defensive techniques in your arsenal. I see it using against S rank water techniques for sure. It is obviously vulnerable to lighting release techniques and different kinds of battlefields. I don't see any combination with it to be honest, I mean you are mainly going to use it for a defence and not for an offence, which you can't even if you wanted to. I have only one question though, can you catapult yourself with the earth wall in the sky? Like can you release it under your feet and to stay on top of it while growing out of the ground?

I don't know why you would want to use this technique for such a feat, when you can just use the D-rank earth technique: nor have I ever heard anyone want to use this technique to what you are asking, but I think you can if you REALLY want to.

(Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune

Descripton: The user will bite his thumb and perform the Boar → Monkey → Bird → Monkey → Ram hand seals, slamming their hand into a scroll on the ground. This technique is a combination of the Summoning Technique and an Earth Release technique. The user summons a large amount of rock from a giant canyon which, during the process of being summoned through this technique, he shapes into a design he outlined previously in a scroll. This allows the user to change the topography of the map and create any earthen feature he needs from pillars to gorges, canyons, mountains or simply plains. If the user wants to or is defeated, the alteration ends as any summon eventually does. Additionally he can use (Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control at any point to change the design and alter the summoned terrain.
Note: can only be used once per battle

This technique is rather simple, think as it as a summoning. You need to place a scroll on the ground, perform the hand seals. Also bit your thumb to draw blood. Slamming your hands on the ground this will allow you to draw a design on the scroll to change the whole landscape around. It's a nice technique, but takes some time to set up.

I have already experienced to fight against someone who used this technique. The best thinking about the countering part is to just throw a lighting release technique that doesn't require any handseals in my opinion, because once this is summoned there is not a lot you can do. The thing is that this is a technique with two blades, for the reason that you gain some advantage too, if you like using earth. It is mostly used in situations where there is no solid earth terrain and I do not see any combinations for it other than just throwing something at your opponent to distract him, so you have enough time to summon/perform what you want. It really depends on the scenario how you want to use it. It is a decent technique, it allows you to summon a lot of different earth structures/objects which is of course cool. If you are an earth master it's even better because you will require one handseal for the whole thing. Pretty much it is vulnerable to lighting release technique, as I have already mentioned. Other than that I do not se anything weird or wrong with the technique. I might use it in future fights.

The only thing that goes through my mind is, can I use for example the (Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control to shape my opponent's technique? Maybe we are going to cover this when we learn it but just to ask to be safe in future fights...

(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld

Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

Everyone loves this technique, you perform those seals. By pouring your earth chakra into the ground you can change it into non-flammable muddy swamp, that your targets will get stuck and sink down on.

Alright all clear sensei.

This one is just amazing. I have faced this one more than once in fights and I must say that it is a pretty nasty but powerful technique. The way this technique can be used is endless. There are so many useful ways for it that I can't even count them. It can be used against giant objects, giant summons, small summons, almost anything. I remember that the best use for it is to force your opponent to use that water release technique with which you cover the earth swamp. Then you just throw high earth rank techniques and the user won't be able to defend correct with lighting if he is trapped in the water. So that is one use of it, another is to completely take control over the terrain on which you are fighting. I don't see anything bad about this technique, other than it needs handseals it is a pretty cool one and I plan on using it a lot in my future fights for sure.

Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

So by slamming your hands on the ground you will cause the earth to lower or raise to a total of 20 meters, or 20 meters below the earth. It could be a sphere, cube anything you want. The surrounding surface is not affected, this is a great technique.

Amazing technique. Probably one of my favourites from the earth arsenal. I am in love with the A ranks of earth lol. They are all so useful and effective in fight that I have no idea what to analyse since I will probably write a giant wallie about their uses. Pretty much this one is used to gain tactical advantage over your opponent, in my ways since it has many applications. You can use it to get higher or lower, you can use it to counter many techniques again by getting higher and lower, for example those S rank giant earth walls, you can counter this powerful technique by lowering the ground. So there are two things that I want to ask about this one. First, we already talked about that so what is it now, you need to hold your hands, to channel earth chakra, while performing it correct? And second, let's say, can you make it so that only the ground on which your opponent is located to either rise or to lower itself? I mean like shaping it so that you can lower your opponent, lower the earth better said, and attack him from above.

This technique can only be used after Wheel of Fortune, you perform the seals, and slam your hands on the ground. This allows you to change the design of your original design to something new, and/or better.

Yeah basically there is nothing to analyse here, or rather very less to analyse. I mean it's pretty clear what the use of this technique is. You first need to have performed the earth technique and second you have a limit on how many times to use it, those are the disadvantages. The advantages are that you can manipulate the terrain and design it/ redesign it the way you want it to be. And by doing so you can take control over the flow of the battle. We already covered that you can only shape your own technique and not others. I assume the two handseals are a problem too if you are in short range, if not then it will be fine. I think it's pretty basic technique for an A rank, yet useful in some situations, depending on how you play your cards with it.

Description: The user expels a large creature composed of stone from his mouth. The rock golem has a fair amount of stamina and brute strength, being able to bite and tear off flesh with its mouth and hands respectively. If used from above the target then the user can use the earth golem to drop down onto the opponent like a bomb and crush them. The golem can also devour earth structures and other enemy attacks, biting and chewing on it.

So what can you tell me about this one?

Alright this is a cool technique. I can't wait to learn the S rank version of it though. Overall a very powerful technique. The user will spew out doton golem straight out their mouth. This technique can be used anywhere at any time with very quick execution which makes it a very handy technique. The user will constantly send chakra towards the golem which in turn controls the golem's movement. You can virtually do anything with the Golem, you can send it towards the opponent as a distraction, or even with force as a projectile based attack. A draw back includes the golem requires a solid base for movement, also you must remain concentrated towards the golem. I think its best to have a clone control it before hand. The golem is not the fastest runner but it has serious strength it can easily break bones with a punch and lift heavy things. It can also pick you up I assume, which is handy in many situations depending on the battlefield. You can for example, when someone uses the earth swamp, you can create the golem, he will sink of course, but he can pick you up and throw you towards the opponent, backwards (to enter the next range) or up in the air. So yeah it is a pretty cool technique. The only disadvantage is that he is vulnerable to lighting techniques.

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra to create the earth infront of them to turn to a lose like quality by slamming his hands on the ground to create a landslide that is directed towards the enemy target in the form of a wave of earth.

These techniques are pretty much the same, with obviously small differences, but not enough for me to post two different posts, so enjoy.
