Uhh earth sandwiches. xD

Alright I want to say that this is a pretty nice technique. Probably one of the strongest canon ones, even though it's pretty straightforward. So, after forming three handseals and slamming your hands on the ground, you can make two very large sections of, well, mountain rise from the ground to crush everything between them. They travel at normal speed, but it creates a lot of noise, so it's easily noticeable. This technique is incredibly powerful and actually overpowers techniques of the same rank due to it's immense chakra cost and damage point value (though it still loses to Forbidden-rank techniques and equal-rank Lightning for being S-rank Earth). About the countering part, I would say that high-speed movement techniques like EIG and Swift should be able to allow the user to run out from between the slabs, but for a normal person I would assume that they would have to destroy the technique as opposed to running from it (if the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path couldn't step out in time, it clearly moves fast enough with a wide enough base to stop normal people from getting out). Overall, this technique is incredibly destructive, but it's main purpose lies in attacking when your opponent doesn't have anywhere to go; using it when your opponent is focused on you and has nothing else to deal with is a bad idea if you're not trying to set them up for a greater combo move. For example a perfect combo would be using the earth swamp beforehand, or a water technique that will appear below them to force them to stay on water. Once they are on water they cannot use lighting, meaning that they have to figure a way out to escape by destroying it. But if the person does not have a lot of customs, that would be hardly done. Also by creating something below them you are blocking their escape with lowering the ground or hiding like a mole so one should take that into account. Jumping in the air is a rather bad idea too, because you won't have time to escape from above (taking into account how large the demonic statue is and this technique made it look like a small figure), unless you don't have a teleportation technique. That brings me to the next point, if you have S/T technique then you are good to go, against obito biographies this will be a waste of chakra for sure. Same goes about people who have teleportation, oldschool customs. One should be careful when using this technique, since it can only be used a limited amount of times, and it does cost a lot of chakra.

(Doton: Koka no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hardening Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offense/Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 40 (-15 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.

This is the only S-rank chakra surge, that can get you out of A-rank genjutsu! It is a good and easy technique, but it can backfire if they use lighting.

So basically with this technique I cover myself with earth? Do girls like earth guys nowadays x___x

Alright, this one is cool because now I have another way to release from Genjutsu. Overall a very useful technique in which the user grows rocks from their skin to form a strong armour. While inside the armour, you can manipulate the rocks to form whatever shapes you want, so you can turn your hand into a sword or mace if you so chose. You can also choose to exclude parts of your body if you wanted to, for example leaving your feet unhindered for greater mobility (though you would be top-heavy and unbalanced). This technique, when used to completely cover your body, is also useful for breaking A-rank and below Genjutsu as it's a full-body surge, as I have already stated above and this is probably the best feature of the technique. However, you are slower than normal when using the armour, meaning that you're vulnerable to Raiton. Also you can only use Doton techniques, and it constantly drains your chakra so. There's quite a bit of give-and-take. If you are fighting a Kakuzu user, he can try to extend his hands and touch your armour to make it heavier with the other earth based technique, so in such situation you can extend spikes from the armour (just a note of something that I found recently). Of course you can use the light weight technique so you become lighter and the armour won't be that heavy. Nonetheless it's a cool way to release yourself from genjutsu and also again a cool way how to backfire you and you will die in a dramatic scene. I mean that would suck, dying in an earth armour, imagine that sensei.

One question though, can I create an earth suit by using this technique? @_@

(Doton: Chōkeijūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage poitns: N/A (up to -40 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically decreases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. The technique can decrease the weight of the target to virtually zero but the bigger the target, the more time is needed.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

Pretty much doubles the effect it gives, then the parent one.

(Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Super Added Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A (up to +40 if used to add damage)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Added Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically increases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. This technique can increase the weight of a target up to 100 times. Under certain circumstances, the technique can be used to increase the force behind attacks.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

Again just stronger then the parent techniques, adds weight up to 100 times. Simple.

For god sake how many of those techniques exist x___x

Alright I like this one a lot. Obviously it is the stronger version of the previous A-Rank technique. Instead of gaining mass this technique acts to lower the mass of the object or person down to virtually no weight at all. This technique when used in battle either lowering your own mass or a mass of an object exchanges the impact power for blazing speed. Its a great tool to use for fast attacks and pressuring the opponent. You can also increase your own speed to evade certain attacks with ease. Also a very important note is that they cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. Its another risky technique, you might have speed but due to the fact you have no mass whatsoever you have no impact on your punches or impact attacks. It is also very important to note to never use it while you are mid air (in the air) because then you will have absolutely no balance whatsoever; especially if someone uses the vacuum bullet technique to suck you in, then you are basically dead. A cool use is to use it on the hardening technique, making your movements lighter and you will also will not have to worry about how heavy the armour will be. For the countering I will say that you just have to be careful not to let your opponent to touch you. It sound easy but it isn't, believe me! Other than that I think that I have nothing to share from experience, it is a good technique and I plan on using it in my fights.

The same as for the one above. It's clearly the more powerful version of the A-rank variant. The user will perform one hand seal and afterwards by staying in contact with the object he will insert his doton chakra into the object and manipulate it in a way that the very same object will increase in mass. This will increase the weight of the object up to ten times more then the usual weight which I must say it's pretty nice addition to the technique. This can easily restrict that very object or persons movement dramatically. Moving will be almost impossible. Also a very important note is that they cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. In all other cases, only weight is added. So energy based attacks will not added in weight. Also this can easily be used on oneself or object to increase its power and impact. However, unlike the A-rank, you can barely move at all, with even breathing being difficult, so using it on yourself is only good if you already have a lot of momentum or if you're dropping down on something. However that is very risky so I do not recommend it to be used in such way. Depending on the situation, if you really have your target locked in something you can definitely use it for a dramatic ending. It really depends on the situation and the scenario around you. It has many uses and about the countering part, oh well you just have to make sure not to allow your enemy to touch you. It is that easy!

I know that you like asking me about favorite techniques so let me save you that part. Lol The tree favorite techniques of the S rank will be:

Mountain Smash - No matter that the technique makes noise, and that it is very situational it is indeed a hell one of a technique and I would love to use it to finish my opponent off. I explained everything about it so no need to say it again. It is simply amazing!

Moving Earth Core - Definitely one of the best techniques to escape in critical times or to send your opponent deep deep in the ground. It has some charm in it so I love it. Definitely in my top list of techniques, shame that you can only use it two times in a fight but oh well. Happiness is not endless.

Hardening Technique - Do I even need to talk about it? It allows you to escape A rank genjutsu which is fantastic, no matter that it has risks I love it! Definitely a cool one to have in your arsenal at the end of the day, it is useful and easily performable.
