No one said she wasn't doing this for Sasuke, but your missing the entire point of this characterzation. It's more for her love than what Sasuke wants. She was doing it for Sasuke and that won't change no matter how many times you try to say otherwise, she couldn't save him with her power because she's clearly outclassed, so she resorted to an emotional appeal, it's all she could've done, but that was still her obvious intention.
She didn't even ask Sasuke what he wanted, but she begins to construct a love speech about how she feels for him, and how much it hurts her that this is happening. That if there is anything that can change this, it's if Sakura has any place for her in his heart?
That's the implied message of what's going on here, is it not? You see if Sakura wanted to save Sasuke, she would of retaliated and told him that she wouldn't watch and stand here as he went out to destroy the Kages, and Tsunade whom she cares for. She would of tried to reason with that response, unlike Naruto who had a plan already, Sakura could of had a conversation. Sasuke isn't mental, or insane here. He's actually thinking logically for once based on his past experiences, and everything that has happened since Itachi's death.
