Does real love actually exist?

Love is an emotion of a strong affection and personal attachment.[1] Love is also a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection —"the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another".[2] Love may also be described as actions towards others or oneself based on compassion, or as actions towards others based on affection.

These are what true love is all about. Even when one person is truly in love with another person it is rarely felt or even given back. One may give there all to someone and the other only insult and blame the other for everything that goes wrong. Love its actions towards a person that is not selfish. People split because there is someone who doesn't give back they only take and insult and expect the other person to just keep on letting them treat them that way. And think just because a person loves them the will let them walk all over them. True love is no often found. Sometimes I believe true love doesn't even exist. It is just what we keep telling ourselves so that when we do get our hearts broken we can try to love again and not give up on it.
