[SUB]You see I believe in God and I have a religion. Although that is not the reason why I disbelieve in the the theory of evolution, It's just that I see many inconsistencies within the theory it self. I do not believe in inconsistencies.[/SUB]

Oddly enough that's one of my reasons for not believing in a God or religion.

Yes i do as it gives the most logical answer to how this many species exist other than magical entity which placed them around.

And no it does not clash with creation or religion. Evolution and creation answer different questions. It does not hurt religios beliefs when people talk about it and Darwin was not a human to be resented atleast for this theory.

There are evidiences suggest Mendel have read Darvin's works. He took some notes and these notes do not show any hostility against Darwin and his theory of evolution. I would like to post source but i could not find a decent one online. I have read it from Edward Edelson's biography of Mendel i can not post pic since my book is not English.

I'll look that up. Sounds interesting!

Actually Darwin did that himself ... Darwin at first assumed that it wld be wasteful for the creator to spend his energy to create variation of the same basic model and thus (assuming the creator being very wise) he created the base image of life forms and the system by which life suited itself to the environment.

Also funnily, most scientists actually believe in a creator or God ... but God doesnt necessarily have to be a magic sky daddy who absolves sins u commit on every friday at each sunday because you said sorry ... he or she or it can be something very different.

Yeah I know a lot of scientists believe in some form of a God. I like Richard Dawkins though. That's my guy Lol.

I believe that human being want to "know everything" and become as omnipotent being. Scientist are considered the as the closest thing to Gods and I feel like try to tear ppl of belief or religion down and made to look foolish. Not saying that science is evil because I do believe that science to help us understand a lot on a human comprehensive level but when it comes to trying to disprove God (which will never happen) that's when it becomes a problem for me

Not really because if you did you would just leave it at the answer you he gave. You seem like the kind of person that likes to push ppls buttons when it comes to giving opinions that you don't like to hear but that's just me.

I can ask questions about someone's belief in something while respecting it. It's not that I don't like to hear opinions. I like to hear a broad spectrum of opinions so I can see where people are coming from. What kind of person just listens to one person and bases all of their thoughts off of one person.

So you throw facts out the window because of your belief? That's something I don't think is healthy.

Don't see how this Is considered respecting someone calling it unhealthy because they choose not to believe what you do. But again, that's just me

No it's not because they don't believe in me. I don't think it's healthy to blindly follow religion. That has nothing to do with their argument in this thread I was saying that generally. Disregarding facts because your religious text tells you otherwise is not healthy for your mind.

Yet they are accomplished scientist who believe in religion and are successful

Take Miyam Bilyak from the BBT that has her Doctorate or PH.D in Neruology and is religious. So this statement is kinda invalid

You're thinking I mean someone that throws facts out the window for their religion can't be smart. No the person might be stephen hawking. However if Stephen Hawking said something like... The sun revolves around the earth because my biblical text tells me so... What do you think?

(Considering that is near the opposite of what happened to Gallileo).

Ok so let me try and understand this

According to scientist homosexuality is considered natural (not to discuss it in this thread, just for example)
Because of my belief, I don't believe in homosexuality

So according to you, I'm Ignorant correct?

No I don't think you're ignorant. I just think that's a toxic opinion. I think it's a mindset that is not healthy and shouldn't be spread to further generations.

Acceptance and Belief are not the same thing. Nothing wrong with not agreeing with something as long as it's not poison. Example again, I have homosexual friends and I'd never treat him any different than any other person but I don't agree with it

Tbh when I first read the thread title, I thought this was either an Ebola or Easter Bunny topic.

When I read the tite, I was thinking, "I ask my friends this all the time, when I'm riding along in their car and it suddenly comes to a stop."

At this point there is as much evidence for Evolution as their is for Gravity.

You're wrong.

There are more evidence for the theory of evolution than there are for all the other theories combined.

Evolution is a plausible theory. I see no reason not to believe it.

Evolution have been demonstrated to be true hundreds of thousands of times, it's not just a theory, it's a scientific theory (a proven fact about reality)

Many varieties in creatures but outsiders can change in their nature adapting to the environment they live it.
As in change I mean the sons, and their sons sons. And the lineage continues.

Not everything though. Ape to human is bs.

Humans are apes, we never stopped being apes. (we are primates, we are in the group called Greate Apes and we are in there with Gorillas, chimanzees and orangutangs)

I don't believe in the notion that we came from monkeys lol. Evolution as in things evolve over time I believe in .

Not monkey's, but apes, we share a commen ancestor with all the great apes.

I like to consider myself agnostic but i'm like 99% certain a God or Gods do not exist. Lol.
Still got love for ya brotha man.

What your certain of dosent matter, what you know exists or don't know exist dosent matter either, it's all about what you believe in when we are talking about belief.

if you belief in atleast 1 of the several thousands of God humans have worshipped true time, then you're a Thiest.

if you don't hold such a belief you're a Atheist.

I believe in microevolution, or a species' ability to adapt to its environment. However, macroevolution is different.

Actually it's not, "macro evolution" just like "micro evolution" are just evolution, it's actually very simple, if there are very small changes from generation to generation (you claim to believe in this) don't you think it's possible that down the line, lets say 2000 generations later all those small changes from every generation adds up?

A species evolving into another species is nonsense.

it's like claiming that you belive a person can easily walk a step, or 10 (a few feet) but you don't belive that if a person would keep walking at some point he would have walked a mile...

I dislike that "evolution" now means "macroevolution." The scientific community hijacked that word and changed its meaning.

Actually scientists discarded the notion of micro and macro evolution several decades ago, micro and macro is the same thing, it's all evolution.

Your reasons for them not being BS? Or nonsense?

I'll add this, no matter how much reasons you give me it won't phase me. But I'll be open minded to see your point of view.

His reason for it not being BS is that it's a proven fact.

and you start here by saying that no matter what you won't change your mind on this, and then you claim you would be open minded to his point of view, but you won't because as you yourself stated: You are not open minded about this.

Humans evolving from monkeys is a form of evolution. When he said evolution I assumed he was talking about that subject.

Ignorant: Lacking knowledge or awareness in general. How is my comment ignorant even though I said "Evolution as in things evolve over time I believe in" I was mentiong two different things. I brought up monkeys because that's a huge debate in evolution today. So clearly my comment wasn't ignorant.

Actually thinking that there is a debate about evolution showes your ignorence of it.

there are no debate to be had. We have named the process lives goes true from generation to generation (we call it evolution) we have gathered the facts and a conclusion have been drawn from said facts.

Evolution is a proven fact of reality, you can chose to denie it, or live in ignorence of it, but that won't change reality.

Isn't healthy a opinion the way you're using it? Facts? Evolution in which we came from monkeys is a scientific theory. It's in no way shape a fact.

Actually it's exactly what it is, a scientific theory is a fact, or don't you belive in the scientific theory of gravity?

[sub]Above 60% of the scientists there are in this world do no believe in the theory of Evolution. Whilst it does make some sense, I too think it's silly and don't believe in it as well.[/sub]

Uther bullshit, abselutely utter BS.

There are more scietiets with the name Steve that believe that evolution is true than all the scientists who dosen't believe in it. (we re talking a wooping 99,something % aproval of the thoery by the scientific community)

Both the Big Bang/Evolution theory and the Biblical - God's creation theory hold about the same amount of sense. Close to none.

Your ignorence is alarming, go back to school.

Don't see how this Is considered respecting someone calling it unhealthy because they choose not to believe what you do. But again, that's just me

he is not calling it unhealth because someone hold the a opinion that as different from his, he is calling it unhealty because that persons belief contradicts with reality.
