[Discussion] Did Naruto even learn 1 new in the 3 years he spent with Jiraiya!

Well I definitely see where your coming from. I also think that was translation error regrading "do use that jutsu" because in the anime it's translated as "don't use that power".

Anyway back to what Naruto did in those three years. I think everyone is bang on regarding smarts, break genjutsu, TRY to control kyrubi etc but I remembered a interview with Kishi and it talks about what Naruto did in the time skip.

Apparently Naruto learned all of Jiraya jutsus, but we haven't seen them used so far and we don't know what kishi meant by all. Toad techs etc.

I think if Naruto learnt more of Jiraiya's and the Fourth's jutsu then he would have revealed them in the fight against Orochimaru and not gone four tailed. Or in the Gaara retrieval arc.

He clearly wasn't taught much more... or if he was they weren't very powerful jutsu.

I know kishi is trying to not tell us yet but surly he could be more creative like how he avoided naruto's parents all this time.

And we better find out what the **** this jutsu is ALREADY. SERIOUSLY YOU CAN'T DRAG THIS ON ANY LONGER.

Actually this is the first time Kishi has really gone out and said there is a jutsu. The other times were vague hints that people thought referred to Kyuubi's power.

You misunderstood me.

I only meant there was translation error with the first time Jiraya was talking to Naruto at the beginning. When Jiraya was talking to the frog before his fight with pain their was NO mistranslation as the Manga and Anime matched. And of course from the latest chapter that jutsu means the unknown jutsu.

Long story short there was only a mistranslation when Jiraya was talking to Naruto not the other times. And if you read the dialog at that instance further he talks about Naruto's anger getting the better of him(referring to nine tails as it responds to extreme emotion) and then says you'll only makes things worse(meaning for the rest of the team and that happened when Sakura got an ass wopping, WHICH I ENJOYED by the way it should happen more often)

Firstly, Naruto learned the rasenshuriken (the wind chakra rasengan) with Kakashi not Jiraiya and it was learnt much later.

Secondly, My question focuses on the jutsu jiraiya asked naruto not to use, in the comic:

Well I believe the jutsu jiraiya told naruto not to use is in fact "that" jutsu. The same one mentioned between jaraiya and gamatora. (scroll-frog) This recent chapter has a page where gamatora is giving the key to naruto

Now in the bottom left gamatora says that this is the ticket to perfecting that jutsu which is referring to the notorious "that" jutsu. Gamatora tells naruto as if he already knows what it is and i think as if he has used "that" jutsu before but just hasn't perfected it yet. If this is true then the jutsu jiraiya tells naruto not to use before heading to the sand is in fact "that" jutsu. Which would mean that the 3 years of training spent with jiraiya not only improved naruto, but mainly got him prepared for "that" jutsu and the responsibility naruto is going to have. I think jiraiya taught naruto and had him learn exactly what he needed to learn. The next step is training from killer bee, and then using the key from gamatora to perfect "that" jutsu.

He could have tough him barrier jutsu but it would seem like that would take time for Naruto to learn and Jiraiya's main goal was to teach Naruto the basics, taijutsu and to control the kyuubi's chakra and perfecting *that jutsu.

It would be pointless to jam pack Naruto full of jutsu. Jiraiya saw that Naruto wasn't a a big jutsu user but a power house, using jutsu that requires large chakra. high A and S it was stated that he is the type to use chakra draining jutsu. actually all of Naruto's jutsu except the resangan are chakra draining jutsu that only Naruto can use properly.

I haven't had time to read every post on this thread, but no one is talking about is talking about shiki fuujin. Who else in this manga can teach it to Naruto? Maybe Kakashi. He's too protective of Team 7 for that (Jiraiya threw naruto off of a cliff and released the 4 tailed state). The point is, without shodaime, the only weapon konoha has against the fox is shiki fuujin. Shouldn't the jinchuuruki for the fox at least have started learning it, espescially while traveling with the Sannin teacher of his father, the creator of the jutsu. Also, don't forget Flying Thunder God. FTG would be an extremely dangerous technique for anyone to use who didn't think several steps ahead, like Naruto.

Jiraiya probably knew the hand seals for a lot of he could not perform thru experience. Look at the people in his life: Oro, Tsu, Sandaime, Hanzo, Yondaime, all the previous owners of the bodies of Pain, etc.

Yea, the only things i can think of are, the oodama rasengan, releas a genjutsu, messing with kyuubi chakra, improving on basic knowledge, and maybe ways to be better prepared against the sharingan.

??? he learned a super justu that no one else knows,improved on his clone justu, how to deal with itachi since he will be looking for saskue and itachi might get in the way, better controlling the kyubi chakra (which is "that justu" by the way) improving on basic knowledge of thing he did not know, better knowlege of the ninja world by traveling........yea i think he got the training he needed at the moment

( he needs to learn basic shit first he was barley a chunining when he left, ya gotta crawl before you can walk and walk before you run, he cant just go away with him for 3 years and come back and be ****ing hokage, and when he came back he was still stronger than most of the leaf of his class. J-man choose to train naruto in what he would need for the near future. as i said he was still a gennin J-man probably thought he would train him on other things later down the line

Apart from learning how to release Genjutsu, becoming slightly smarter, taller and improving all the moves he had already learnt: Did Naruto actually learn any new jutsu at all in those 3 years?

So does Naruto have some even stronger jutsu which he hasn't used yet or has he not really learnt any new jutsu in the 3 years. Please give your views.

p.s- If there is some jutsu radically strong jutsu which he used then please correct me!

The reason him not using it so far is that it must causes an imbalance of the four elephant Kyuubi seal, or uses such a large amount of chakra that if he has to depend on the foxes chakra without full control over the fox he might end up reviving the Kyuubi. This is explained in the here (

Remember the seal is kept in balance with Naruto’s will and Chakra so if he completely depletes all his normal chakra the fox might be released.

He might have gotten a whole lot smarter but nothing entirely new has been learnt
