itachi was sick and was still able to live for more than 5years w/ medication having fatal injury doesn't mean he died instantly it can mean he got an injury that is impossible to recover from and giving out bijuu won't bring peace either infact it didn't work and hashirama would know that would only bring temporary peace and killing himself wont bring peace at all

I agree but itachi was sick naturally not wounded in a battle
most fatal wounds in naruto received in fights usually end with the ninja dying soon after

I said it was a stepping stone to peace not that it would actually bring peace , senju believe love is the way to peace probably could explain if he sacrified himself

I dont that because unlike the uchiha he doesn't have anything that can control the beast from outside his body

uchiha controlled the beast through their eyes
Senju through their body
