I agree. So far, Izanami has only been used against a person who has a negative flaw or belief. In theory, can't Izanami be used against a person who has a positive flaw or belief. For example, couldn't Izanami be used against Naruto for his belief that he will bring Sasuke back to the Leaf Village without fail (good, positive belief) the same way Izanami can be used against Tobi for his belief that he will carry out his Moon Eye plan without fail (negative belief)? If this is true then just about anything is up for grabs.

Itachi is teaching Kabuto a lesson via izanami, and showing him that he can't become others , he isn't perfect and he has to become himself..

Some ninjas will be able to accept faster than others and thus can break out faster, which is why it's forbidden... But in the end if you get someone in the loop, they stand in the position lifeless in any case.. and can be beheaded easily...

And it's also not that simple to get out as you think.. If the caster doesn't tell the person what it is they need to change, or continuously remind them about it..

How are they going to know? The time it takes? it did not take long.. A few minutes 5-8... It happened in about a chapter and a half.. and you have to remember itachi was lecturing kabuto before he actually used it.. He could have used it immediately after recording the specific part.. but he was trying to get through to kabuto..

Not only that but itachi CAN USE JUTSU AND FIGHT BACK while it's being prepared.. It's not like jiraya who has to clasp his hands together and summon ma and pa to get into sage mode...

Itachi maybe just mentioned that it was not good for battle because it could take a while, depending on what the caster does and what the victim does. Although it seems like it can be a one shot in one vs. One battles. But that is just my opinion.

On a side note: Itachi used another water jutsu.

Kabuto believes in his strength and superiority, so he isn't able to escape from Izanagi. Only if you accept your failure, you will end this illusion. And this is in a fight, according to Itachi, impossible.

The thing is, not everyone is like the uchiha. Kabuto, on the other hand, had a similar mindset where was invincible since he had all of these powers. Therefore, Itachi knew that the technique would work on him. If it was used on anyone else, they would understand that sometimes results don't always go their way, and the jutsu would just dissolve as there would be no purpose to it.

I'll just keep saying what I say in every other thread. Izanami is not just for anyone who is right or wrong. Good or bad. Only a perfect being can not be effected by it and no one is perfect according to Itachi.

Izanami effects everyone some people will be able to break out of it faster than others. By the time that happens more than enough time has passed for anyone to come by and behead them keep it moving.
