Izunami is useless instead indeed. Waste of eyes. It's supposedly used for other uchiha Izunagi users only. But Itachi just happened to find the right guy to use it on haha. And plus why would he want to use it on the "positive" thinkers? No point since he is fighting for a good cause anyways.

Haha, i've always said "wait for the next chapter to see how Izanami works". But others were so blind by this technic that they were already sure that it was a one shot against every opponent. Finally this technic seems to be useless when you believe in yourself and don't doubt a second.

It's not useless at all it can still be used in every fight when used correctly besides the point is that they can't kill Kabuto otherwise the Edo will never stop

If it was any other opponent casted away by Izanami they would have been ****ed, as you can see Kabuto is Itachi's pet and Itachi could have killed him whenever he wanted to.

It was designed as a "gut-check" for the Uchiha clan users that would use Inzanagi to much. Although Itachi and by means of him Kishi have shown us that Itachi was smart enough to find a non-Uchiha scenario in which using Inzanami could be benificial instead of just an over powering genjutsu that costs an eye. Now that I think about it though I wonder if it would work on someone who wouldn't be affected by other previous genjutsu like idk maybe a jinchuriki?
