The databook isn't the manga and it's been retconned loads of times, for example: How does Kisame have a 4.5 in Ninjutsu and Hidan has a 5, when Hidan only knows 1 jutsu while Kisame knows many more?

The same databook also said Kamui was unavoidable, yet it has been evaded. It also says that "there is no technique that can compete against this one".

Going by what the databook states, Sasuke should be dead from his previous reckless usage of Susano'o.

First off Gedo Mazo itself didn't block Kamui. Obito did with his own Kamui.
Simply having the properties of kamui doesn't stop it from working, Take kakashi and obito for example Kakashi can warp obito and obito can warp kakashi. The only reason kamui would be ineffective against each other is that they would simply warp themselves back.

So Yata changing it's attributes won't effect Kamui at all. Unless Yata can Use the jutsu it copied (which it cannot) to counteract the warping.

Also we shouldn't really need itachi to tell us that "every jutsu has a weakness" it's just simple logic. Be it the amount of chakra it uses, or negative effects on the users body, Absorbing effects and so on. In fact everything has a weakness be it Godly or not. Even Current obito who basically is now a God has a weakness.

Yata not being a Jutsu doesn't mean it has no weakness.

I still don't see a sufficient explanation on how Yata can block/deflect/negate an attack that works by setting a barrier around the object and opens a dimension to send the object based on that barrier?? It doesn't concetrates on the object it self,but in the space surrounding that object. I don't remember DB stating that Yata can change the properties of the area surrounding it or something like that.
So apart from the retarted responce "DB says it can defects all attacks" I don't see a logical explanation why Yata can negate kamui.

Okay, so I'm tired and not with it, but you're getting way to up yourself. The Yata Mirror is part of the same set as Totsuka no Tsurugi anyway (Mikusa no Kandadara).

Great thread, very detailed and all but it's missing somethings. First of all, I don't think it's possible to block Kamui, it's been clearly stated that nothing can stop Kamui, nothing at all. Secondly, we've only seen it used by Itachi for a short while right before his death so it was just hyped then.

He repelled sasuke. Yata > People.

The only think he didn't repel? Genjutsu. Because genjutsu is less of an attack and more of messing with someone's senses.

Onmyodon was beaten by senjutsu. Yata mirror is a defense and no defense can be used against kamui. Then again no attack can be used against yata mirror. Therefore we have to accept that there is no correct answer given the limited evidence we have.
