While everybody was jizzing in their pants over this new chapter. It actually had me thinking about who Tobi actually was. Since the sixth coffin was revealed a lot of people (I'm not going to put you on blast) have stated that Tobi is the Elder son of the So6P. I'm going to give my explanation of why he's not from a logical standpoint.

First proof of evidence: The first time Naruto is in Kyuubi Chakra Mode and fights the fox. Kurama recognizes him as a representation of the so6p.

Upon meeting with Naruto for the first time in KCM, and now his half biju transformation. Tobi shows no sign of recognition towards Naruto resembling the Sage, but he mocks him instead. Wouldn't he be surprised that Naruto resembles his father.

Tobi Does not react to Naruto's new transformation that even resembles the So6P even more.

Instead he's talking shit by basically saying I could easily kill him now.

My last piece of evidence happened in the last few chapters. When Naruto was talking to Son Goku. Goku stated that the beast were respected by the Sage, and were all given specific names when they were created.

If Tobi was the true Older Son of the sage wouldn't he identify and acknowledge each beast by his name. Throughout this fight Tobi has been saying "I'm going to capture you nine tails, eight tails" "I will become the jinchuriki of the 10 tails, this is my will" so on and so forth. Without calling them by their true name.

My point is Tobi is in no way shape or form the older son of the So6p. Simple thread, but I thought I should contribute something different to the Manga section other than the people jizzing over the Naruto transformation. While eliminating another Tobi possibility.

Older Son despises his father, and everything he did for choosing the Younger Son; your thing about the names is invalid. And about reconizing Naruto as the Sage... Tobi is a being bent solely on doing evil; he's not going to say "Oh, you look like daddy." Did Darth Vader give anything away that he was Luke's father when they first met?

I don't think this completely rules it out but that is definitely logical and I believe would definitely make everyone put that theory at the back of possibilities. I honestly think that there just haven't even been any clues given really, I mean right now it is just as logical that he is someone none of us are familiar with. Like him being a character we know/do not know has no effect on the plot really.

I don't think the Elder son despised his father his whole life. Only when it was time to choose a successor, and the younger son was chosen instead. I don't even think you can relate this to star wars either. I'm pretty sure the sons knew about their father, whereas luke didn't know his father. Everybody assumed he was dead. But I'm pretty sure Tobi would have recognized him as a representation of the Sage if he really knew the sage personally.

I think he is the elder son of SO6P.
And about the Madara and Tobi stuff, I think they are using each other and at the end someone might planning on ditching the other.

I agree with this statement 100% + rep

Nice thread Dave, you certainly made some good points. But as this guy ^ just said, I think it puts the elder son theory on the back burner for sure. But who really, honestly, thought he could be the elder son (barring EMR). And plus rep to you too dave.
