Except when you learn to read he wasn't talking about Jiraya when he said that. Kisame knows what Itachi is capable of. He has seen Itachi fight and not only acts but his words imply Itachi is stronger than him. You don't even need to be a fan to see who is stronger by the manga.

Gai only won because he doesn't actually use ninjutsu and its because he wasnt using chakra that he was able to win any other ninja would have died from that super watershark bomb jutsu

I have yet to see anything that stops Tsukiyomi or Susano'o, or Amaterasu once it ignites on Kisame or Samehada

Fair enough point. It's arguable if Samehada would be able to release the genjutsu. But, there's something that Kisame himself can do to prevent him from ever falling into a genjutsu.

Kisame himself knows quite a bit about Itachi and his Genjutsu expertise. Something that he and his sword could do, to prevent from falling into a Genjutsu is to have Samehada either constantly drain small portions of Kisame's massive chakra which would keep him in an unnatural state regarding his chakra cycle. And, if the need comes to it. Have Samehada recycle that chakra back into Kisame to further break it.

He doesn't even have to do that, I was saying at anytime he want he can draw chakra from samehada, make it absorb jutsu/chakra, ect. Samehada still has a mind of it's own and know when it's owner is in trouble.

Yes kisame has his chances to win but i can see Itachi having the slight edge.

The fight would be much closer than people think, Kisame's ability to absorb anything made of chakra is very bad for someone who had very little chakra to waste in the first place.

It really isnt as seeing kisame would first have to realize he is in a genjutsu and like other have said we don't know the process that samehada would take to break kisame out of it, it took both lady chiyo and sakura to break naruto out of itachi's genjutsu, samehada will surely need more time since it is alone, and thats if it is even capable of doing so and if kisame can realize his in a genjutsu.

No. Neg diff means he'd have to do absolutely nothing, while kisame had to work hard to die. Kind of like Kakashi reading his book while naruto was kicking his own ass; That's neg diff.
