Yes, they fought in the genjutsu because Itachi was going to fight Sasuke so wasn't going to tire himself out physically hence the genjutsu fight. He didn't say he nervous only said look at you go, I haven't sweated this much in a while. All that shows was Itachi put up a good fight and that is part of the story, it took place before Itachi fought Sasuke.

How did Naruto go from pulling the Chakra rods out of the Bijuus here into talking to all Jins and Bijuus for a good amount of time and Obito do nothing about Naruto pulling the chakra rods? Time is different for Jins and Bijuus and are connected so even in Tsukuyomi they would still react in enough time where Itachi wouldn't do enough damage. The Bijuus can pull their Jin to where they are while in a fight and that Jin not getting killed while they talk means in their mind it's faster than out

Bijuu broke the genjutsu in secunds in real time, would be faster in the Jin's mind. We see Bee sitting on the 8 tails all the time and Naruto right by Kurama. Kisame knows Itachi's fighting style so would know how to prevent from getting under a genjutsu an use hidden mist and his water clones to further aid him. Both are on the same level and can beat each other.

Obito can remotely strengthen the bond.

^ He didn't do anything there either because he focused his power on preventing Naruto from pulling it out.

Furthermore:

^Obito had time to intervene while Naruto was preparing to pull out the rods.

Yet we see him here, with seemingly no intention to engage Naruto.

It's more logical to infer Obito was focusing on the binding of the stakes.

It's illogical to believe that conversation happened in an instant. As I said, the assumption that time between jinchuuriki and their bijuu moves faster than real-world time is baseless. You have nothing to prove it. Even a regular genjutsu (where the opponent is inside the person's mind), moves at a regular time. The entire time these events are happening within the persons's head, the same amount of time passed in the real world. Tsukuyomi was said to control time (which makes it different from regular genjutsu). So yeah, you're gonna have to prove that times moves faster; not just because "their minds are linked, so time moves faster."

That's irrevelant to point, my points were concerning samehada. Kisame has his chances yes, all else depends on scenario and speculation of how the events would unfold. I'd rather avoid that since it usually gets nowhere. There are others here willing debating such things I believe, I'll let you have fun with them.

Sage dont waste your time, this boys are so caught up in Kismae realizing he'll be in genjutsu, they dont notice how ridiculous they sound.

Let them stay in their fairytale world.

Yet you can't post one scan of Itachi failing to perform a genjutsu when he means to.

Saying that kisame won't fall for genjutsu is laughable, & saying that kisame will realize it as soon as he enters it is even more ridiculous. Lol
