I've had this conversation before. The quick answer is: a MAJORITY of them will not.

Think of it as this. A male lion is the leader of it's pack/ family. The male lion protects and always puts his children in place with loud growls or bites.

Hyenas are led by a female. Often times her children will attack her and steal food.

Not all children raised by a woman are going to be lions, but are HIGHLY LIKELY TO BE HYENAS INSTEAD.

You can see the difference between a boy without a dad, than those with. They have behavior problems and are snobby.

Once again, this is only a majority of them and by no means does this apply in every case.

I was raised by a single mother as my parents got divorced when I was less than 2 years old; he used to beat her severely and cheat on her so she took me and my sister and raised us all by herself. I love my mom more than life itself and she is the kindest, sweetest person I know. I have seen her struggle to pay for the bills so this motivated me to work at an early age and get scholarships in university to help pay the bills. She also disciplined me when I was young and I think I turned out alright and I never once lacked the need for a father as God was my father all my life. If a mom is kind and a good parent she can definitely raise a "manly" son all by herself.

It doesn't really matter much if you live with a single mom, a single dad or both parents. That's what school, gym teachers and authority figures are for. All mom needs to do is give their kids the birds and the bees talk.

Mothers are probably the best person anyone can grow up with. I think single mothers are perfectly capable of the task.
Yep agreed.

It's the ones raised by single fathers that worry me... (I've known a few).

So guessing I should start a topic "can a single dad raise a boy to be a man", or "can a single dad raise a girl to be a man", or perhaps "can a single dad raise a boy to be a girl" XD

Edit:

Heh, one might say "God eh ? A man that was never there for you, but always claimed to be"... :p
