Ever since last chapter released; there is strong misconception about how Momoshiki has the ability to see the future presumably because of his so called "Godly Power". Rather, his ability to observe really well and was likely able to "read" boruto like how Neji read Hinata like a open book knowing the fact that the Byakugan far surpasses the Sharingan in term of insight.
Most people like to believe that the Byakugan needs new super ocular power to be competent against MS sharingan and rinnegan. The Byakugan does not posses powerhouse like the Sharingan/Rinnegan does but rather it's much more reliant on how skilled the User is with jutsu and abilities because unlike the Sharingan; it is a weapon of it's own.
Even poor intelligent person and or being incompetent shinobi can make great use of a Sharingan, yet it takes far more effort to get your mileage out of the Byakugan. But once you do, a Byakugan user could rival the Mangekyou or perhaps even far greater.
Boruto falls in this principle because he is a prodigy likewise his uncle Neji. Because if you're not strong talent shinobi, the only good use with the Byakugan is to be self aware of the situation.
We know for a fact that Boruto can perform 3 chakra natures affinities as well as he invented Vanishing Rasengan by applying Wind Nature. However What's more is that the databook listed that Bolt has other Ninjutsu listed.
He has Splash Bullets, Gale Palm and Purple Lightning. Keep in mind; Bolt also has really high stats in Dexterity and his Taijutsu, Evasion and Ninjutsu are all above average which would put the Byakugan into good use since Boruto is proficient in battle.
Combining the Byakugan with elements should also create powerful synergies: Wind Release would basically improve every Gentle Fist jutsu. Lighting Release would add greater piercing and numbing damage. Fire Release would increase Vacuum palm and Rotation damage. Earth and Water could simply be used for various abilities. The most broken would be Storm Release since guided laser blasts would basically give Gentle Fist an infinite range.
Chakra from every tenketsu is more broken than you think. A byakugan user can do this from anything. Someone is backstabbing? Emit a wave of fire from your back. You can emit chakra from your hands, feet, knees, eyes (as seen in the Anime, and as one can logically deduce, the eyes are tenketsu), head, everything.
If Bolt Curse Seal has any ties with Sage mode then the whole sensing/seeing combo is already pretty broken, but it gets even more extreme: Sage mode's improved resilience would synergize well with Gentle Fist (reduced risks) while Frog Kumite is in a way a better Gentle Fist. Increased firepower from senjutsu wouldn't hurt either.
Combine the 4 and you have an insanely broken combo.

The Byakugan doesn't need new powers. It already has the potential to rival the Mangekyou and Rinnegan. Its existing powers are simply untapped and underused.
