Honestly can't imagine Adachi in this scenario, time to kick up Kiritsugu.
It didn't take long for the black-clad man to notice the lone student that stood desolate in the training fields. He dug from within his pocket a lighter, bringing it to light the cigarette currently in his hand. Taking a long drag, he stood in front of the white-haired student for some time before he finally spoke.

"Souji...Hyuuga, I'll assume?" he said, though it was more of a statement rather than a question. "Call me Kiritsugu. Though I am of the Uchiha clan, you'll find me more than suitable to teach you of the Byakugan heritage." He paused a moment, raising his gaze to the sky as the cigarette in his hand burned away from a wisp of Katon chakra. "Now, let's begin with the basics. What do you find most unique of the Kekkei Genkai and its usages?"

(Just had the image of Adachi with a Byakugan. 0/10. Anyway...)

Standing up in respect for his sensei, Souji listened to his teacher's introductions. He apparently already knew him, so there was no need to give a formal greeting. Upon further inquiry, Souji was told Kiritsugu-sensei was an Uchiha. A little eccentric to get training from one of them, but in these times, training wasn't really to be questioned. Sensei was a smoker too... he'd have to get used to that, as his nose wrinkled slightly to the olfactory stimuli.

He began speaking.

"The Byakugan is one of the Three Great Eye Powers, aside from the Rinnegan and the Sharingan. What differentiates it are the abilities it grants the wielder, which are, in some cases, more advanced than their other counterparts. For example, the user gains a near-omnidirectional field of vision, bar a small blind spot behind the head. Furthermore, they also gain telescopic vision, allowing them to see great distances. To compound on this even more, they can see an opponent's chakra points, watching chakra flow and changes to their system, as well as their own. These are a variety of supplementary abilities that, when mastered, can prove to be greatly advantageous in a battle."

"Also, the ability to use a Byakugan grants access to Gentle Fist, a Taijutsu style developed by my clan that incorporates the viewing of chakra points, tenketsu, with soft, open-palmed or poking strikes, in order to close or damage these chakra points. Doing so stops the opponent's flow of chakra, which makes the Hyuuga particularly potent in a close-range fight."

"I can already activate my Byakugan without Hand Seals, sensei, so I'm here today to learn the ways of Gentle Fist under you."

Taking a deep breath, Souji sighed outward. Having to say that in one and a half breaths was quite the endurance feat >_>

It was a long moment before Kiritsugu decided to say anything. Then he nodded ever so slightly, closing his eyes as he leaned against a tree behind him. "It seems you've covered most of the essential basics," the man murmured. "And as I've done my fair share of research on a KG so similar, yet rather contrasting to my own, there are some specific details that you should also be well aware of. Unlike my Sharingan, a Byakugan user does not need to awaken their KG but have it available for usage upon birth. And while both Doujutsus allow vision of the chakra, yours' particularly has the special trait, as you mentioned, to take note of the 361 tenketsus, or chakra points, that any shinobi has. Given such, you are then able to execute the Gentle Fist technique, which works much like the purpose of a Fuuinjutsu - to seal usage of chakra. Furthermore, unlike the Sharingan, you are able to take note of detail and objects to a distance even as far as 800 meters and unlike us, can even penetrate through objects and see what is beyond."

Kiritsugu brought his hands together to form a single handseal. "Now, there are many more things to cover about this Dojutsu," he said. "And we'll hammer out the details in due time. In a moment's time, I will vanish into the earth and find a place to hide within the forest. I'd like you then to activate your Byakugan and come find me. Once you do so, I'd like you to answer a few questions. Firstly, you are well aware of the Byakugan's weakness, which is the blind spot behind the user's eye. Given such, what are two ways to help prevent your enemies from exploiting it? Secondly, what are some advantages the Byakugan has over Sharingan when it comes to perception in a battlefield, such as seeing through objects or the whatnot?"

(welp, sorry for the late reply >_<)

As soon as Kiritsugu-sensei left his immediate field of vision. Souji closed his eyes and concentrated. Veins started encroaching on his temples, at the ends of his eyes. It was always an odd sensation, but he was definitely used to it. Opening his eyes, his unmistakable grey pupils dilated slightly and lightened, gaining an almost whitish hue, but laying somewhere in a light grey.

Byakugan, activated.

(Dōjutsu: Byakugan) Eye Technique: The All Seeing White Eye

Type: Supplementary
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30 (-5 per turn to keep active)
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Byakugan is the kekkei genkai of the Hyuga clan. Bearers of this Dõjutsu have almost featureless white eyes. When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge as the blood flow to their eyes is increased. While having the Byakugan deactivated, Hyuga ninjas have a normal eyesight and no special addition to their vision. While low rank Hyugas will need to perform a sequence of hand seals ( Horse → Tiger with lifting just index fingers → Boar with nearly straightened fingers → Hare → Rat → Dog → Horse → Dog → Hare → Rat → Boar with nearly straightened fingers → Snake with the right index finger lifted straight up) to activate their Byakugan, Hyuga masters will be able to do so without the need for any hand seals and even have it active passively for long periods of time. Once activated, the user gains access to all of the abilities the Byakugan bestows upon them. While, like other Dojutsu, its main ability is to see chakra and the chakra flow in sentient beings, the Byakugan adds a complete new detail and dimension to that ability. The user can not only see chakra and the chakra flow, but also the circulatory system and even the 361 tenketsu. Added to this ability, once activated the Byakugan grants the user a near perfect field of vision 360º around himself (up to long-range if he's a master). This field of vision has only one blind spot, slightly above the 3rd thoracic vertebrae and facing backwards but enables the user to actually even see his own chakra circulatory system and chakra flow, which explains why all Hyuugas are so adept and masterfull of precise chakra control. The last ability the Byakugan has is the ability to zoom in and out, focusing on specific things, piercing beyond matter and energy alike, as well as chakra. This specific ability allows the user to see pass most barriers as well as physical matter (like rock walls, ground, etc) but also energy, being able to focus beyond chakra that might be in front of them or other energies. The zooming ability is enhanced as the user becomes more adept at using his eyes and can even reach distances above 20kms away. Some Hyugas have shown a great awareness regarding agressiveness as well as killing intent, detecting such intentions and emotions from others with more ease than most.
Note: Activation spends a move from the users own move count but once the user reaches Sannin Rank and has gained mastery over Gentle Fist for 1 month, he can activate it passively without spending a move. Because of its low chakra cost to maintain, the user can keep it active throughout the whole fight as long as he has chakra and stamina to do so.
Note: Genjutsu that requires Eye Contact when used against a Byakugan user requires direct eye contact between enemy pupil and user's pupil
Note: Must be activated to use Gentle Fist (Jyuken)
Note: Cannot be blinded by matter, chakra, light or energy
Note: Its tracking abilities are similar to that of a 3 Tomoe Sharingan

Within moments, Souji detected Kiritsugu-sensei's location and chakra signature: he was sitting atop a tree deep into the forest's canopy, in a somewhat casual, relaxed position. Wow, such cool, many smoke.

Stealthily making his way to said tree, he sat, back against the trunk, from the branch directly behind Kirtisugu's. A passerby would have seen two dudes sitting on branches, opposite each other, with both their backs against the tree. Without warning, he began speaking nonchalantly, although this probably wouldn't be enough to faze his sensei. Too badass for that.

"Ok... so. To answer your questions, the blind spot of the Byakugan is a detriment and an asset. I think awareness of its position is key here; if your enemy takes advantage of said blind spot, you will be able to anticipate attacks better, and even lure them into aiming for that spot. Pretty similar to Neji's tactics against the Sound Four's Kidomaru. I guess another simple way is to move your damn head, so the blind spot is consistently mobile. I could also create a Shadow Clone that watches my back, and we'd be covering each other's blind spots at the intersection of our fields of vision."

"The Byakugan is infinitely better than the Sharingan. Of course, I'm sadly biased, but I think in a few ways, it easily surpasses the three tomoe Sharingan. No offense, sensei. Heh."

"We get things like X-ray and microscopic vision... the tracking abilities of a three Tomoe without the need for painful, self-inflicted (or otherwise) broody pain to awaken them, we can see chakra systems, allowing us to easily detect genjutsu and break them... lower chakra cost to maintain... distinguishing between chakra types and even nature types, to an extent... oh, and we have access to the badass Gentle Fist."

Crossing his legs and leaning back, he chilled as he waited for sensei's response.

(Apologizes for the late reply when my reply is almost a month late. :| Logic. <_< Also, your description, holy shit, I don't think I've read anything gayer. It's like a Kiritsugu X Souji FanFiction. *insert a fangirl scream here* LOLOL, jk. I could almost draw it though.)
"The response I was looking for was indeed to create a Shadow Clone," Kiritsugu responded, leaning against the wizened trunk of the sequioa tree. "A Shadow Clone, in your case, would be a great benefit to have due to the extent of your Byakugan and can act as a second pair of eyes as you mentioned. As you also are aware of the blind spot, you can turn the weakness into an area of strength - enemies know your blind spot and will likely target that area which makes it possible to set up countermeasures beforehand."

Kiritsugu chuckled lightly at Souji's comments on the Sharingan. "Of course, both Kekkei Genkais possess their own strengths and weakness, but you are right in stating that it is easier for a Byakugan user to adapt." He sighed softly, tightening the hold around his cigarette as it burst into flames and decayed into ash that trickled towards the ground. "Unlike the Hyuugan clan, the hate runs deep amongst us Uchiha. But while it is true that Byakugan users are capable of obtaining information with less cost, their power output is not as strong as us. Now, allow me to go into detail a bit more:
The question is simple. Can you see through the thick glass? If so, the a Sharingan user can see it too.
Can you see through the fire? The answer is no, so a Sharingan user can't see through either. We can discuss a bit more about the definition of opaque and transparent, but the bottom line is:

Transparent + Chakra - Sharingan Yes, Normal Yes
Transparent, no Chakra - Sharingan Yes, Normal Yes
Opaque + Chakra - Sharingan No, Normal No
Opaque, no Chakra - Sharingan Yes, Normal No

Byakugan, Yes, always.

Byakugan's distinction isn't that he can see through chakra. It's that it can focus past anything. It has virtually no blindspot, and can, within a really wide range, pin point any detail. In essence, Byakugan differs from Sharingan because it is a telescopic vision. Other that a much more detailed chakra visual capabilities, able to pinpoint the specifics indentations and micro-variations of chakra. (Which makes it a much more efficient and reliable tool when distinguishing chakra nature)
Summing it up, it's merely a simple matter of how you can obtain information and how you interpret it during battles."

Finishing his explanation, Kiritsugu hopped off the branch he sat on. He withdrew a kunai from his pouch, indicating with his other hand for Souji to come down as well. "Now, as a Byakugan user, you are rather aware of the 361 chakra points on your body. I'd like you to close your eyes and focus for a moment upon each one of these pores. Then carefully controlling your chakra flow, begin to rotate in a 360 degrees manner, gradually accumulating momentum as you begin to 'push' the chakra outside each and every point." Placing a single foot forwards, Kiritsugu withdrew the hand that held the kunai past his shoulder. "I'm sure you've seen this move being used before and it is mainly defensive. By pushing out your chakra as described, it will momentarily create a shield that can block weaker attacks. I will toss this kunai as a test to your shield's capabilities, but do not fret. I will target only the outskirts in case you fail. Once we have practiced this technique, proceed to tell me how this might be used as a countermeasure and what kind of attacks it is best as a defense for."

(Apologies for the late reply again  knowing you, you'd ship it, LOL)

Souji leapt off the tree and landed in the forest's clearing in front of Kiritsugu-sensei. Hearing his words and watching his subsequent brandishing of the kunai, he guessed what was going to happen.

Channeling chakra throughout his body, Souji allowed them to build up at his chakra points; his tenketsu... all 361 of them. Kiritsugu-sensei threw the kunai at him, and Souji reflexively reacted by rotating his body while simultaneously releasing chakra from his tenketsu. Using his left foot as an anchor, he rotated, gaining rotational acceleration which increased his own momentum, quickly escalating his speeds to where the chakra began turning into released streaks. Applying his already proficient chakra control, Souji compressed the chakra to form a chakra dome around him, which effortlessly deflected the kunai. As soon as he received a visual cue (having kept a bead on the kunai even during the rotation), Souji stopped himself gradually. His feet left a circle that surrounded him on the ground. An imprint of his actions.

"That was kind of cool. Basic rotation... too bad I never learned this properly. The rotational force is enough to push back opponents if they're unprepared, or ward off basic projectiles, elemental or otherwise. Nice in a pinch, too; if I'm pressured up close, using this can give me the breathing room I need."

The kunai had barely scratched the surface of the chakra infused shield, clashing onto it briefly only to fall to the ground useless. Souji came to a stop, the dome around him fading as he cast a quick glance downwards. Kiritsugu nodded in approval, satisfied with his student's performance with his first technique. "Excellent control so far," he commented. "You're correct in stating that it is a great defense against basic attacks. As this is a low-ranking technique, it is best suited against jutsus of similar level, however, the point I want to make here is that those of the Gentle Fist are especially dangerous close range. While it may seem this jutsu is mostly defensive, it serves to be extremely dangerous to Taijutsu users. Whenever I teach people about ranges in battle, I usually warn them that Gentle Fist users and Taijutsu specialists are the riskiest opponents in short range. This technique renders most of freeform useless."

Kiritsugu finished his sentence, crossing his fingers together to form a single kage bunshin made of earth. "Since you have already enlightened me of the 361 tenkutsu points on our body," he continued. "While it is advantageous to be able to see these chakra points, targeting vital points on the body is basic knowledge and something that you also need to know as well." He reached a hand over to the clone, tapping it over the chest area. "And of course, the most important and vital organ that everyone knows to aim for is but the heart. I'd like you to charge your hand with chakra now and then focus your attention on the tenketsu points of my clone's heart. Then proceed to strike there."

Charging raw chakra into his hand, Souji could feel the vibrating sensation of high energy buildup. With his Byakugan already activated, he could see the clone's tenketsu. Focusing his gaze to the ones his sensei mentioned, the ones in his heart, Souji then thrust his right hand forward in an open palm, gently pressing against the clone's heart. With a gentle push, he burst the chakra from his hand and pierced it through the clone's tenketsus around that small, localized area. Externally, there would be no damage seen, but the internals had already been critically damaged. The clone crumbled, with a shocked expression on his face.

"Simple, efficient, and deadly. My kind of jutsu. Targeting tenketsu is a key part of gentle fist, and I like it. Elegant."

"Quite... heartbreaking, don't you think?"
Souji said this last statement with a sheepish tone, realizing the crappy pun he'd employed.

Kiritsugu stared at Souji for sometime as the cigarette fell out of his mouth. :| That's just how bad the pun was.

"Byakugan users tend to know the inner workings of the body in and out," he then said. "From the muscles to the bone to the vital organs, I'm sure you have a very detailed visual map in your head. On that topic..." Forming several handseals, Kiritsugu slammed the ground, causing a earthen dummy to rise up from it. "Now, I'd like you pretend you're facing an actual enemy. Concentrate your Byakugan and then begin to strike the dummy in a sequence of exactly 16 times, 'specifically in areas which would leave an actual person decapitated by the time you're done executing such an action."

Focusing his gaze on the Earthen Dummy, which somehow looked a lot like Edward of the Akatsuki, Souji took a stance, left foot forward and right foot back. His left arm was held out in front of him, and his right arm was clenched and bent back. With the left foot as an anchor, he thrust his body forward, assaulting the dummy by performing a gentle blow to its neck area. Now, with his right foot/arm forward and left limbs back, he repeats the same motion, alternating his footing and blows, striking the filthy casual in the collarbone area, and further smacking his neck. This occurs exactly 16 times before the head, unable to stay supported due to the severed connections caused by the blasting of concentrated chakra, simply plops off, almost anticlimactically.

"Would you look at that?"

Kiritsugu nodded solemnly at Souji's performance. "Yes, you beat that filthy casual until he finishes all 22 chapters of his Cornell notes." Although wearing the same straight face, Kiritsugu gave his student a thumbs up.

The clone reformed itself as Edward once more, but this was no normal Edward. It was angry, filthy casual Edward who had just lost too many ranked games in League.
"Now, remember the rotation technique from earlier?" he questioned Souji. "I'd like you to perform it once more, however, input more chakra this time around so that it leaves a crater around you when you are done with the 360 rotation. Also, it should completely obliterate angry Edward my clone when he runs at it."

Souji looked at the Edward lookalike. Poor child; he had so much to live for, and he was doing nothing but wasting away with a game like that. For a moment, he pondered why people would risk their lives just to try and beat something like it. When he played games, Souji enjoyed sitting down and immersing himself in a wholesome experience, not screaming obscenities towards a digital character and their cheap shots.

Eh, different tastes. He shrugged.

Applying the same principles of the first rotation technique, Souji instead channels more chakra out of his tenketsu and forms a larger, stronger dome, which leaves an indent in the ground, having hit the filthy casual away. It was essentially the same performance, though.

Poor Edward didn't stand a chance. It's a good thing it wasn't the real one >_>"

"Whew, this one's stronger, but it does take a little more to get used to."

Kiritsugu sighed in tandem with Souji's grievances. Indeed, he had once tried to help Edward soothe his misfortune over angry games but to no avail. Lo and behold, Edward continued to ragequit over and over again and waste his life over fruitless and stressful times.

At least this clone of Edward had finally found peace. It sank to the ground and poofed without a single resistance. "Well done." Kiritsugu lightly complimented his student. "Now that you've learned how to use this move defensively, it is also necessary to execute it offensively. [In battle, there are generally three categories of attacks you can use without wasting the three slots allocated to you. As your choices are limited, I daresay it very important to the techniques you choose to utilize during your turn. First would be a basic attack move, second would be a purely defensive move, and the third is the one I like to be able to execute at any given time, which is a counter. For example, let us say your opponent released a C-Rank water attack. Naturally, one would use earth to defend against it as water is weak to earth, but a simple D-Rank earth would only serve to cancel out the attack. Now, if you used a C-Rank earth move, this would not only cancel out the attack but continue towards your opponent as a successful counterattack. Always seek to use all three of your techniques meaningfully during a battle.] With that being said, I'd like you now to conjure up the defensive rotation you used before, however, instead of shape manipulating it to serve as a pure wall, I'd like you to turn them into razor-sharp, thin lines of chakra that act as both an attack and a defense at the same time." He formed the Tiger seal, creating yet another earth clone as the other had suffered the wrath of the "Sister-Complex Kingpin of Steel" too much. "My clone will now run at you in a few moments. Do what I just instructed above to not only defend against his brute attacks, but to be rid of him as well."

(Thanks for that clarification with the elements, you said the same thing in your battle guide ^^)

As Kiritsugu's clone charged Souji, he would simply rotate once again. But instead of forming a complete dome, he would instead release his chakra as almost wisp-like constructs, forming sharp streams of chakra that would lacerate Kiritsugu's clone, leaving gashes on his chest area, while managing to keep the clone from blitzing him.

"I assume this technique has cutting properties, yes? And do each of these chakra lines move in the same direction or is each one controllable?"

(I swear I reworded it. Two months later...)

Kiritsugu paused to ponder over Souji's question. "Well, this technique you just learned is almost exactly the previous ones. You basically release chakra from your tenketsu, but this technique contains raw, sharp chakra which not only serves to defend, but to provide a sort of 'counter' a technique. So think of them akin to many knives all being rotated in a singular rotation at once. HOWEVER, keep in mind that unlike the previous technique, this only works at short range, so you basically need to be next to your opponent in order to affect him." He cast a disinterested glance at his clone, who remained stock still in its original position, its attire in rags. "Well then. Everything we have learned thus far dealt with mainly close range. Now, I'd like you to raise your hands and face your palms toward my clone. Proceed to push chakra in an accelerated burst through the tenketsu located in that area to strike my clone and effectively push him backwards a significant distance. As this technique reaches up to mid range and has a prominent aftereffect, how might this be useful in both countering and attacking?"

Raising both his open palms to face sensei's clone, Souji concentrated non-elemental chakra at the tenketsu where his palms were. In a powerful, sudden burst, a powerful shockwave released from his palms like a gunshot of sorts, the concussive force hitting Kiritsugu-clone squarely on the chest, throwing him back a good distance.

"I can use this to repel projectiles and push back enemies that are too close. I can clear paths as well, giving it some utility in a dynamic battlefield..."

He continued pondering, rubbing his chin as he did so.

Kiritsugu nodded in resposne. "Precisely. While you should have no issues with close-range combat as you possess the Byakugan, EIG users will no doubt surpass you as well as a few other dangerous tricks - the technique you just learned can be of use in the case of such a scenario." He formed the Tiger handseal, creating an earthen dummy. "Now, back to striking a human form. This next technique is basically an upgrade of closing off Tenketsu. Focus your Byakugan onto the dummy and strike exactly 64 points, drastically limiting his chakra flow. How might this effect be prominent within a battle?"

Souji would repeat his stance, applying the principles of a previous jutsu he had learned...

However, this time, he strikes the earthen dummy a total of 64 times, striking elegantly and alternating his footing, stances, and blows once again. With his Byakugan, he was able to see the chakra system of the earth dummy and close off tenketsu in his limbs and upper body.

"Closing off tenketsu provides many advantages; it stops the opponent from molding chakra, and paralyzes them. Furthermore, the multiple blows can be performed in such a fashion that makes it hard to block a single strike without risking a hit from many others."

"A question. How many strikes is sufficient to close off tenketsu? Must I connect all 64 strikes, or will one well-placed attack do the trick?"

Okay, I will be taking over your Training.

Priest brings out his ipad and before he starts blasting his music, he would open a small scroll and read a set of task to you.

They are simple tasks actually divided into few scenarios. I see adachi has done everything with you but I had to make sure.

Activate your byakugan.

Scene 1:
Priest makes 5 clones and mixes with them. I want you identify him out.

Scene 2:
Priest casts a genjutsu on you. No notable change, nothing physical that cries genjutsu. Detect you are in a genjutsu.

Scene 3:
A clone of Priest stands 7m before you. He would quickly detonate a flash light so that you are blinded. Whilst you are blind, he moves in quickly and stab a kunai into your chest.
Deal with it.
