(Just had the image of Adachi with a Byakugan. 0/10. Anyway...)
Standing up in respect for his sensei, Souji listened to his teacher's introductions. He apparently already knew him, so there was no need to give a formal greeting. Upon further inquiry, Souji was told Kiritsugu-sensei was an Uchiha. A little eccentric to get training from one of them, but in these times, training wasn't really to be questioned. Sensei was a smoker too... he'd have to get used to that, as his nose wrinkled slightly to the olfactory stimuli.
He began speaking.
"The Byakugan is one of the Three Great Eye Powers, aside from the Rinnegan and the Sharingan. What differentiates it are the abilities it grants the wielder, which are, in some cases, more advanced than their other counterparts. For example, the user gains a near-omnidirectional field of vision, bar a small blind spot behind the head. Furthermore, they also gain telescopic vision, allowing them to see great distances. To compound on this even more, they can see an opponent's chakra points, watching chakra flow and changes to their system, as well as their own. These are a variety of supplementary abilities that, when mastered, can prove to be greatly advantageous in a battle."
"Also, the ability to use a Byakugan grants access to Gentle Fist, a Taijutsu style developed by my clan that incorporates the viewing of chakra points, tenketsu, with soft, open-palmed or poking strikes, in order to close or damage these chakra points. Doing so stops the opponent's flow of chakra, which makes the Hyuuga particularly potent in a close-range fight."
"I can already activate my Byakugan without Hand Seals, sensei, so I'm here today to learn the ways of Gentle Fist under you."
Taking a deep breath, Souji sighed outward. Having to say that in one and a half breaths was quite the endurance feat >_>
