danzo already explained to itachi. sasuke will grow up to hate the leaf and he will be killed or they will kill him now to prevent it (i dont remember which one it was). therefor had the civil war started sasuke would hate the leaf and would die at some point in time.

the massacre was to save sasuke. massacre made sasuke hate itachi and not the village

again if you think a good brother is someone who lets there brother fight in a losing war and doesnt protect them? then by all means go fight fights with your siblings instead of trying to prevent them from fighting which would've saved there life. had madara even attempted to stop his brothers then i wouldve had a different opinion

if you think being a brother means allowing your other brothers to be in danger(which they all died) instead of keeping them out of danger then . . . .

Again, I was raised in a family of cousins and brothers. I perfectly understand Madara and Izuna. Ok. So who ever wants to wank on Itachi.. needs to hit real life soon.. or otherwise humanity is losing it.

My older brothers and cousins.. if we were fighting for our family/clan in a war.. and i as the youngest die.. it ain't my brother's fault that I died.. I chose to be on the battlefield. I chose to face someone of that strength. I chose to be next to my brothers. I chose those things.. And my death, is my responsibility.. not my brother's. When I already thank them for taking on people who were stronger than me. I thank them for raising me. I thank them for protecting me all those times.

In simpler terms, Izuna dieing had nothing to do with Madara.. Madara was already being a great brother, with taking on the strongest ninja of his time.. so his brothers won't have to.

What civil war are you still talking about??? The one that Danzo stated was irrelevant? And no Danzo himself had already commit over dozen treasons against Konoha.. If Itachi had spoken out in the village against Danzo.. Danzo would've been the next Madara..

funny that Danzo had met Obito.. who also wanted the Uchiha clan dead for some reason.. hmmmm .. Danzo was also the same guy who allied himself with Hanzo, and helped Hanzo kill out the Akatsuki ( an organization that was attempting to make peace, this was before obito took over. )... So Hanzo could help him become the Hokage. =]. He was also the same guy who commit assassination attempts on Hiruzen.

no im saying your family's goal should be to survive. if your brother is encouraging you fighting the other family and you get killed, then he wasnt a good brother because his main goal should be the family safety. not to mention hashirama didnt even want to fight them, so madara fought hashirama because he wanted to.

2. Jiraiya brought Sasuke back

3. Orochimaru led Sasuke to be strong

They where all apart of Sauske's development but they weren't the people who made it their mission not to let Sasuke die and even if they where it doesn't matter. Yes Izuna chose to fight but MADARA vowed to protect his younger brother, yet he let his brother die on the SAME exact battle field. Now I'm not saying that it was in Madaras will that Izuna die but when your promise to protect a sibling it's you either do or you don't and he did not.

Now the title of this thread was, "who is the better brother Itachi or Madara." I'm simply basing this off the events I've seen in he manga. Sasuke is still alive and thriving a year after Itachi's death. Madaras younger brother died after he vowed t protect him. This thread isn't about what is fair or who's fault is who's. It's simply to brothers who vowed to protect their younger sibling. One followed through and one did not.

As for you trying to bring my personal life into this it just goes to show how you're getting worked up over a very trivial matter. I have a younger brother and if I vow to keep him and I don't then I didn't. I have absolutely no clue why you think this has anything to do with knowing about brother hood... It's pure logic you promise to do something and you do it. I was simply saying that Itachi did a better job as an older brother because he sought to protect his younger brother and did just that, so, after your mini rant in the small paragraph about my opinion, I almost feel compelled to try and understand why you think that me just looking at clear facts has anything to with me as a person or my relationship with my brother. And what is it about brother hood that you claim I don't know?

They where all apart of Sauske's development but they weren't the people who made it their mission not to let Sasuke die and even if they where it doesn't matter. Yes Izuna chose to fight but MADARA vowed to protect his younger brother, yet he let his brother die on the SAME exact battle field.
