Obito's words this chapter got me thinking. He stated he didn't have the mental stamina and chakra to control both the rinnegans, whereas Madara chose Nagato to be their bearer who was an Uzumaki.

Nagato had Senju and Uzumaki ancestors. Obito didn't say anything about stamina and so on, just he coudn't control the huge power of both Rinnegan. Nagatos usage of the Rinnegan isn't anything special too-according to Obito and Madara. Obito could surpass Nagatos Rikudō no Jutsu in one day.
Anyway, I'm sure Madara used a special Fuin-Jutsu on Nagato too-like he did with Obito-. So the Rinnegan wouldn't make him insane. Some kind of limiter of the Rinnegans power.

However, the Uzumaki aren't the strongest. In the past there were two clans which were feared as the strongest~Uchiha and Senju.
All Uzumakis doesn't have a huge amount of chakra. Kushina had strong chakra, but not much. Base Naruto had two times more than Kakashi. Only Nagato was a "chakra-beast".
And the special life force didn't belong only to Uzumaki, but to every clan of Uzushiogakure-the village of long livity.
