Both of us said that the character isn't Asian. However, she's clearly meant to reflect Asian women/culture by every context around her. So if portrayed in live action, it should be by someone who is also reflective of that culture.
Lmfao

According to you.*
K

They, like Chi Chi, reflect Asian culture, so their portrayal should as well. Also, Ken Kaneki literally is a Japanese student in Tokyo.

I’m tired of playing this stupid game with you, it seems that your only argument is that the ethnicity and race of a character is based on the clothes that they wear as opposed to their actual physical features. So despite the fact that there are no visual differences between the characters that I believe are white and those that you believe are supposed to be Asian, you’re ignorantly ignoring that Toriyama has drawn an actual looking Asian character. You’re also ignoring that Akira has drawn Native Americans, Indians, African Americans, white Europeans, etc. and had attributed physical features to differentiate them to eliminate confusion. So I’m just supposed to look past all of that just appease your idiotic mindset that Chichi, videl, Hercule, Trunks, Goku, Goten, etc. are all Asians that just happen to have white facial features? Lmfao you’re an idiot.

And Kaneki, Hideyoshi, Touka, Juuzou are also visually white. The only Asian looking character that I can recall is Shuu Tsukiyama and that’s only because his eyes are slanted.

Obviously, that is the most discernible feature. They also shouldn’t have blue/green eyes either though. :sdo:

Btw, I thought you were done.
I changed my mind.

Also manga is fiction and most characters are not even human or live in a fantasy worlds where people are also born with purple and blue hair. You can't use eye color as a standard.

Secondly, Asians can have blue and green eyes. It's just rare.

Obviously it’s fiction and if he can give black people big lips and all of them have dark brown eyes, then he can give Asians slanted eyes and dark brown eyes.

Secondly, it’s very fucking rare to find an Asian with blue/green eyes, otherwise there would be tons of them that are famous considering their self-hate.

This literally contradicts what you just said in your last comment. You clearly have no real way to discern what the manga character's ethnicity is and are just labeling them the way you want them be.

Lmfao it’s clear that you don’t know what a contradiction is but you’re displaying irony and hypocrisy considering that you said the following:

Again, they look like cartoon characters to me. They don't look like real people, but based off of the style of the artist and context of the story, I understand that they're meant to be Asian.

Read what I’d relayed to Punk Hazard,

You said one thing that disputes what you said earlier. You first said Asians shouldn't have blue/green eyes, then you admit they do. That's a contradiction. Unless there is some alternate definition of what a contradiction is, you made a contradiction.

It’s a rarity, you dunce, not common occurrence. Name one Japanese celebrity with natural green or blue eyes. Black people also have blue and green eyes, thin lips, small noses, etc. but there aren’t black characters in the original series that reflect it. The one does is a God of Destruction that was added very recently and blacks with blue/green eyes are a lot more common than Asians that have them. Again, you’ve failed. I see that you like to select what to respond to, and scrap what makes you look foolish but it’s clear that you’re trolling, so have a good night. :Sparks:
Ok, but that still contradicts what you previously said, which was that Asians can't have different eye-colors.

So applying the standard that an anime character has green or blue eyes doesn't make him Asian is not a valid argument.

Telling me to have a goodnight means you're leaving. It's basic English.

Have a goodnight.
Lmfao no, I was telling you to leave. You really suck at this, huh?

But if that’s the case then I’ll accept your concession for the second time. Remember to snuggle the L that I handed you. :Sparks:

Okay, okay, okay. So lemme get this straight. You say that Chi Chi isn't Asian because Asia doesn't exist in the Dragon Ball Universe...and then say that Toriyami has drawn these ethnic characters in the manga...indicating their countries do exist, which would include Asia. So then, Chi Chi would be Asian since she has an Asian name, lives in Asian style housing, and wears Asian styled clothing. If these ethnicities, and therefore the countries, exist as you claim in your post, and Chi Chi is surrounded by elements of a particular ethnicity...then she'd be that ethnicity. Either way, she's reflecting Asia, and you just defeated your own argument.

So I’m just supposed to look past all of that just appease your idiotic mindset that Chichi, videl, Hercule, Trunks, Goku, Goten, etc. are all Asians that just happen to have white facial features? Lmfao you’re an idiot.
What features of Chi Chi in this pic are exclusively white?

Lmfao what a surprise, another fail on your part. You said that Chichi and everyone else are supposed to be Asian simply because of their clothes and home while I proved that Toriyama (I don’t know who the **** Toriyami is lmfao) has depicted multiple ethnicities and races of people with varying respective physical features to match their grouping, including actual slanted eyed Asians. I’d also stated that you’re saying that Chichi is supposed to be Asian ONLY because of her clothes and home. You’re literally retarded if you don’t understand that.

WIDE EYES, you dunce. Lmfao it’s literally that simple...much like you. Which is why I thought sure you’d be able to grasp it, well aside from the fact that I’ve said it multiple times. General Tao is the perfect example of what an Asian character is supposed to look like.

Lmfao But again, ignoring the fact that Toriyama has depicted several ethnicities with different physical features, you’re telling me that there isn’t a visual difference between Asians and whites?

Kaneki was born in Japan. He goes to school in Tokyo. You are asinine.
Still voluntarily playing daft, huh? But regardless I’ll keep quoting myself :lmao:

Wrong, Ichigo’s dad is a white man and his mother’s white also. And so are both of his sisters. Sure he’s Asian by citizenship but visually he’s white.
He lives in Japan, iirc, but visually he isn’t Asian.
Stop, that’s a reach. Mangakas can do what they want, and if they want white characters living in Japan then that’s what’s going to happen.

@animegoin. Is your standard, your visual base, a white person?

For example, when you see the simpsons, you instinctively see them as white?

If so, that’s because you have been around white people for most of your life that it’s your default. If you are not white, you might actually think of yourself as “not-white” instead of black, brown, Asian.

It’s all about who you are around. You see patterns in what you recognize as normal.

I don’t prefer to see white people on the screen but if a mangaka drew their characters to look like white people then I’d rather see white actors play those roles in live action. If by you by visual base, you mean what I visually see then yes. Homer Simpson resembles a white person just as the guy that works at the convenient store is Indian, even if they didn’t make skin color brown. I think his name is Apoo or something but anyway, Homer’s boss was white also. And even the creators of the Simpons have enough common sense to attribute physical features to the race they want to portray and thusly, they give Koreans, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Etc. slanted eyes.

Lol why is that everyone here fails to comprehend simple things? Re-read through the conversation and tell me where you got lost.

@bold: And that’s the most illogical thing I’ve ever heard. Also where did that even come from?
Your argument is they're white because of features. Their facial features are not distinctly white, neither is their skin. Their eyes are part of the art-style and don't even translate to reality. No humans have eyes that wide

And then Chichi wears clothes resembling Asian culture. But nope,

she's white.

Neck yourself.
