Hanabi is Team 15's leader according to the new episode, which confirms her as Jonin rank. Gotta love how they made a team of all girls too lol. Hopefully this will grant her entry into the manga soon, though I do question what will happen to the team as a whole given Sumire seemingly left them to join the science division.

The fact that Hanabi was placed under this position as a jounin leaders means that she will become more relevance in the future. This would also mean she will keep herself more engaging with Boruto and serves a big role in the main plot. Also Hanabi asked Boruto to come back to train him which is a foreshadowing of helping Boruto sorting things out with his dojutsu and his unknown ability
Do you think Hanabi becomes a squad leader was the sole purpose to look after Sumire because of the Nue which has direct link to Kaguya?? Perhaps Hanabi plays a factor with the Ootsutski considering her experience with the tenseigan??

Bold is also a worry of mine. It leads me to believe her role there could be very similar to Kurenai's then. I would think another person would be added to the team but in Naruto's time it was Sai and he was from root which no longer exists.
Fan of Hyuga abilities and i won't mind whoever showcases them. I really hope this does strengthen the relevance she would have in the series. Also hopefully when they get to the chuunin arc or so, she is included in the shown fight with Hinata against Momo and Kinshiki.

It's possible, considering the two do connect, but it could also just be a means to give Team 15 a leader. Though granted, with how important Sumire is, I think it's more than just a coincidence that she and Hanabi are together.
Well if could be a case similar to Shikamaru, how he acted as a diplomat but still was part of Team Asuma. Same could be with Sumire: She works as a scientist, but still goes on missions with her team.
Same, by far my biggest hope is to have 2 vs 2 between Ootsutsuki and Hyuga :lol

I'm glad Konohamaru brought up that the Byakugan have virtually no blindspot because that means Kodachi remembers and is self aware of the byakugan abilities of its own established rule which had me worried for a long while Since Kishi failed to portray Momoshiki and the Ootsuski in their fight when they barely uses their Byakugan in its potential
The chapter ends with a cliffhanger, giving us a bit insight of Ao "Trump card" and I believe its his Byakugan because there is no other reason to bring him back into the picture in a first place.
For the first two chapters, I believe the author intentionally had Ao inactivate his Byakugan for the sole purpose of nerfing him in order to give us a proper introduction with his combat skills for the first time in a long while since the war.
Honestly it would devalue the byakugan if he had used it prior and gets outsmarted by Team 7 strategy. Which is why I believe Kodachi is trying to set up the tension for the next chapter when he awaken his Byakugan and it may changes the tide of the battle to his favor and it will prompt Boruto to activate his Curse seal on its own.

If/When Ao does activate his Byakugan, I hope we see it have precognition of something similar. That would cause such a storm :lol I'd also like it if he used Gentle Fist techniques, considering taijutsu seems to be his specialty.

Looks like you were right about Hanabi being made Sumire's captain to keep an eye on Nue.
Wow, confirmed in the episode? If yes, it gives me hope SP aren't going to ignore the Hyuga-Otsutsuki connection and focus on the Otsutsuki alone. Props to Prodigy for his insight xD
