(Fūton: Kaze Ogawa no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.
Note: The user must already be airborne to use

This technique is very handy for when you are in a jam, mid-air only though. So if you are in a jam while being in mid-air you can use this to move directions. Or you can blow towards the ground using this technique to make a dust cloud, but no one uses it that way.

+ How to be used in a battle

The user concentrates chakra within their mouth before releasing it in a steady stream, allowing the user to change direction or speed in midair. This chakra, however, isn’t as concentrated because of its continual flow, reducing its cutting ability and sharpness. It also can only be used in the air.

+ How to be countered in a battle

Simply keeping track of the shinobi using this technique seems like an obvious counter-attack, but I better one I believe would be to exploit the fact that:
1.) The shinobi using this attack is concentrating chakra continually in their mouth and
2.) Thus, they don’t have the greatest focus on any area but their mouth and the targeted area for the jutsu
Thus, a clever shinobi will trap and attack the user by predicting their targeted location by, for example, using a wide-attacking Raiton technique.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) Allows swift mid-air movements through a difficult to measure method

Disadvantages:

1.) Can be counter-attack through clever calculation

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

Um… this jutsu is pretty much to move… in mid-air… honestly not a ton to say, which is why this is unfortunately bare… sorry this was such crap, but I had trouble actually writing much about it :/

(Fūton: Kaze Iwa Rendan) - Wind Release: Wind Rock Barrage
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user creates a huge stream of wind that carries rocks and lifts the opponent into the air where the rocks hit them.

Simple use of wind to lift small rocks up and use the wind and the rocks to hit your target.

+ How to be used in a battle

This jutsu uses a larger stream of wind to pick up rocks and other debris (wood chunks, makibishi, etc.), and sends them over to the opponent. Because of the strength and size of this stream, it also has the potential to also momentarily stun the opponent by pushing them back through lifting them with the wind, so to say. A simple method with which to use this technique is follow a chakra accumulation method similar to the Rumbling Wind Wall technique, except have the apex of fuuton concentration upon the palms of your hands. Then, place one palm behind the other and push the chakra out using the weight of your entire body (benefiting somewhat from the defensive stance used earlier). By pushing off with the weight of your body instead of merely pushing your palms forward, you give the fuuton chakra more push and also width, allowing a quicker and further spreading technique than otherwise noted.

+ How to be countered in a battle

This stream, however, isn’t as focused, and thus sharp, as, say, the Basic Technique, and thus wouldn’t penetrate through, say, a doton armour technique, nor would the rocks and other debris damage is at all. And because the method with which I use this technique carries a momentary loss of balance, a technique can be followed to utilize this moment, such as an earthquake-type technique, to cause a loss of balance, which can then be followed up with a Raiton technique or even a swamp-type technique, thus leading to a successful counter attack, leading the user to a disadvantage. Other counters include the classical Katon techniques, digging like a mole technique, or a doton wall technique.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) Lifts the opponent if done right, causing a momentary stun and a possible jutsu cancellation.
2.) Can be used with downed tools, such as kunai or makibishi, to revitalize them and give them a new purpose. This also gives the advantage of causing more difficulty movement for the opponent, thus allowing a swifter flee or movement to a more advantageous spot
3.) This can be used in combination with doton techniques to swiftly propel those techniques towards opposing shinobi

Disadvantages:

1.) Because of its wider range and width, a katon technique used to counter this can lead to a nasty situation to the user
2.) This isn’t actually too effective at propelling rocks and other debris towards long range, where such debris would be most effective, nor is it too great for short range fights because of the effort required to lift any debris off the ground, thus neutering some of its effectiveness
3.) Easily countered with a wall or armor-type technique, given its weak strength
4.) Any fuuton technique can neutralize the projectiles in mid-air for the most part

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

If only this was a stronger technique, because I, weirdly enough, like the idea behind it when I finally understood what it was saying…

*Agnes then straightens up again, and clasps her hands in front of her pelvis. Her arms dangle somewhat, loose, yet not casual, as her eyes brighten up, her lips betraying a casual smile. Her head tilts to the left about ten degrees as she states:*
“With this I’m done with my D-ranks, correct?”
*She then straightens her head again, giving full attention to Castiel-sensei’s reply”

The two main techniques from the D-Ranks I like would be:
a.) Wind Release Basic Technique
Reasons: This technique has quite a bit of versatility for such a basic tire technique. You can use it as a simple attack, part of a combination attack, stop kunai or other projectiles, use its swiftness to stop C-rank or lower Raiton techniques, momentarily stun and damage an opponent by targeting their face or body with this technique, etc. That, and it's cheapness in terms of chakra usage and swiftness with chakra preparation for this technique also helps. It's main flaw, besides its poor width and size, is how easy it is for a clever shinobi to counter, as well as its poor strength, but I feel as if as long as one uses this technique in proper conjunction with other tactics and techniques that its worth will be shown in spades.

b.) Wind Rock Barrage
Reasons: This one is more in potential than actuality, as the idea behind it sounds awesome. Send rocks swiftly at an opponent while forcing them to float? Why not? The same problems that afflicted the Wind Basic Technique apply here though, with the added problem of the slightly more in depth chakra applications needed for this technique. But still, sounds like a swell idea with more width and strength...

That was nice, I liked that. C-rank time!

(Fūton: Reppūshō) - Wind Release: Gale Palm
Rank: C
Type:Attack/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

Mostly used to protect you from incoming weapons, and or distract your target.

Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

Mostly used to protect you from incoming weapons, and or distract your target.

+ How to be used in a battle

This technique is utilized by first concentrating fuuton chakra within the palms of both of your hands, and then clapping them together to cause a further concentration. Then, you push out your palms towards your opponent, causing a powerful gust of wind to charge toward the direction where the palms face. This can be utilized with shinobi tools, as well as individually to knock over opponents. However, supplementary use with tools is difficult, as timing use of this jutsu with the throws can be difficult, especially if the opponent is keeping you busy defending. Instead, the best method to use this is actually defensive, as it holds a much stronger gust, causing much stronger and wider wind to charge to defend yourself then a Wind Release: Basic Technique or a Wind Release: Rumbling Wind Wall technique would create.

+ How to be countered in a battle

Again, katon techniques are the ones to go to, considering that even a d-ranked technique would be able to stop this. Also, considering that this technique only using a larger gale, and this gale isn’t concentrated enough to induce a high enough concentration to induce extreme sharpness, a doton wall or armor technique would be very utile in these situations. Essentially, it still shares similar weaknesses to other techniques of this sort, such as the aforementioned Wind Release: Rumbling Wind Wall technique.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) Very versatile technique, especially for defense (OOC: no idea why this technique doesn’t have Defensive underneath its type; in fact, I would use this for defense before I would for offense)

2.) Stronger gust than Wind Release: Rumbling Wind Wall, allowing it defend against more techniques/tools, and stronger techniques/tools

3.) Capable of knocking an opponent over, making them both lose their concentration and balance

Disadvantages:

1.) Easily countered with both Katon and Doton techniques

2.) Doesn’t share the sharpness of the Wind Release: Rumbling Wind Wall technique, given that it shares about the same amount of chakra usage over a wider, larger area.

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

This technique is more situational, although I can appreciate what the description misses in regards to this technique’s capabilities.

Description: This technique will infuse wind-based chakra into bladed weapons. The user can than manipulate the blades in a spinning manner to attack the target.

Simple enough, send your chakra into bladed weapons. Enhancing their cutting abilities and what not.

+ How to be used in a battle

First, concentrate fuuton chakra into a bladed weapon (shuriken, kunai, et al), similar to the fire release: blazing shuriken dance jutsu. Then, you prepare to spin the weapons by pointing the sharps edge to the sides or downwards at a slight angle, depending on the spinning motion needed for that moment. Finally, you release the weapons in a flicking motion, causing them to spin. Because of the fuuton chakra imbued within them, the spinning motion carries a sharper edge, causing to move swiftly and sharply towards the opponent. This, then, is an excellent first move jutsu, both for initial damage, and for distraction, as simple countering with kunai will be difficult. This can also be used as a precise counter to weaker raiton jutsu, as it may completely slice and diffuse the technique before it can approach you.

+ How to be countered in a battle

The perfect counter for this move is to use the fire release: blazing shuriken dance jutsu, as it not only prevents the kunai from approaching you, but also eliminates all fuuton residues from said weapon. Also, any number of doton techniques can be used to counter this technique, as it’s still too weak to penetrate most rocks. Finally, prevent the kunai from approaching you with any number of fuuton techniques, as this jutsu is dependent upon the kunai for movement, it merely enhances it.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) This technique allows simple weapons to gain more potency, allowing it to approach your opponent with enhanced speed
2.) This jutsu can be a more precise method to counter raiton techniques, slicing through them with ease
3.) This jutsu travels on its own and is quick to use, allowing you to begin preparing a supplemental jutsu while traveling towards the opponent. Thus, it enhances the ability of kunai, shuriken, et al, to distract the opponent, allowing it to better suit its original purpose of distracting the opponent.

Disadvantages:

1.) This jutsu lacks the power of penetrating any but the weakest doton techniques.
2.) Fire Release: Blazing Shuriken Dance easily counters this technique, thus leaving you back in your original position
3.) This jutsu, dependent upon the kunai, shuriken, et al, for supplementation, only goes as far and as wide as the weapon in which its enhancing is able to go.

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

This technique is too easily countered with certain jutsu, but is a decent distraction for unprepared shinobi.

(Fūton: Daitoppa) - Wind Release: Great Break Through
Rank: C
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Long
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: This is a relatively simple technique that when the user performs the following hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake they create a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

Long amount of seals, but releases a gust of wind of your body. Knock away weapons and whatnot.

A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

Long amount of seals, but releases a gust of wind of your body. Knock away weapons and whatnot.

+ How to be used in a battle

Performing the necessary seals, these seals release fuuton chakra in the form of a stream, going in a long range as long as it correlates with your eye sight at the moment the last seal is formed. A higher ranked shinobi can use this to completely knock over opposing shinobis, disrupt numerous jutsus, block shinobi tools, push large rocks/trees towards opposing shinobi, and even terraform the field somewhat by removing cover for opposing shinobi, thus luring them out into the open. At my rank though, the only true uses for this jutsu is to knock out long –range attacks, and to set up a distraction.

+ How to be countered in a battle

The best method with which to counter this jutsu is actually by taking advantage of the fact that this stream only goes in the direction that the opposing shinobi’s facing. Thus, by sending multiple attacks going in from different directions at a closer range, the opposing shinobi has no great chance to counter all the tools using only this jutsu, and thus is lured towards using other tools or jutsus to counter every tool/jutsu being used towards them. The classical katon counter also works here, but doton walls aren’t actually worthwhile here, as this jutsu possesses the capability to knock them over when used by a high ranked shinobi.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) This stream is made immediately after the last seal is formed, allowing you to prepare another jutsu immediately instead of having you motioning the jutsu through your movement, breath, etc.
2.) This jutsu is long-ranged and goes wherever you see, thus possibly countering the opponents move(s) before they can even be made. Thus, at a long-range, this move can be preventative as well as offensive and defensive
3.)

Disadvantages:

1.) Unless you specialized in fuuton, this jutsu isn’t easy to use for immediate offensive or defensive usage, and other jutsus (such as the Wind Release: Gale Palm jutsu of the same rank) are easier to use for an immediate usage in these situations
2.) This jutsu only goes where you see, and thus can be exploited by opposing shinobi, thus leading this jutsu to be void
3.) This jutsu has variable use dependent on rank, and thus isn’t very useful for weaker shinobi, as the stream itself is weak

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

Wind Release: Gale Palm is a more useful jutsu than this unless you truly need a long-range jutsu. If I become a kage/sage ranked shinobi who specializes in fuuton jutsu though, then this jutsu might actually have some use.

Orochimaru used this to initially strike at Sasuke in the Chuunin Exam arc, meanwhile Gaara used a variance of this with fuuton and sand in the Invasion of Konoha arc.

+ How to be used in a battle

This technique is essentially the fuuton form of the Great Fireball, Dragon Flame Blitz, and numerous other Katon techniques. By concentrating fuuton chakra in your lungs and then releasing it in a single spurt, as if you are releasing a fireball or mudshot, you can block numerous weaponry as well as numerous jutsus, including up to Rank B Raiton techniques. This essentially can be utilized as a stronger Basic technique, as they both share similarities in usages, although the Basic technique does have the advantage of being able to be used with limb movement as well, while this technique can only be released through the mouth.

+ How to be countered in a battle

Katon jutsus, such as the aforementioned Great Fireball technique, are the perfect counters for this jutsu, as they not only destroy this jutsu, but also approach the opponent, thus serving a similar purpose as this jutsu, but now working for the opponent. It can also be countered with wall/armor jutsus, as it doesn’t have any sharpness to it. Essentially, counters to this jutsu are similar to the Basic Technique, except stronger jutsu are required to counter this jutsu.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) This jutsu can serve to screw up an opponent’s concentration, thus serving as a quicker, more powerful form of either the Basic technique or a kunai/shuriken
2.) More projectiles can be blocked in a larger area than with the Basic technique, given the difference in rank as well as chakra concentration. It can also move through more projectiles/jutsu, allowing it to serve as a better defensive deterrent than the Basic technique.
3.) This jutsu is capable of being used quickly as it requires minimal chakra concentration and no hand seals, thus serving as a better guard against projectile weaponry than the Great Fireball jutsu and other jutsus

Disadvantages:

1.) Doesn’t have any sharpness, thus doesn’t really damage the opponent
2.) It doesn’t have a wide stream nor a large area, thus it is easily countered with more pin-point attacks; also, projectiles approaching from different directions or heights would still go through this jutsu because this jutsu, although larger than the basic technique, only goes towards a selected area, and doesn’t have secondary movements following it

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

This technique is the more improved form of the Basic Technique, and thus you’re better off using this technique in most situations.

(Fūton: Kamikaze) - Wind Release: Divine Wind
Rank: C
Type: Attack/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30 (+10 if used with a fire technique)
Description: The user releases a gust of wind after forming the Ram handseal, that forms several small tornadoes. Combined with Fire Release: Running Fire that forms a circle on ground level, this creates a massive flaming hurricane.

Simple technique, don't know why it's short range, one hand seal, and release from your body about four small tornadoes. This can be combo with a fire technique to cause more damage, as well as burning and cutting damage.

+ How to be used in a battle

You first form a ram seal, and the twirl your arms while pushing forward to release numerous tornadoes towards your opponent. Although there size is quite small, it contains enough speed to propel away projectiles around it, sending them quite a distance away from the tornado in unpredictable directions. They also be pushed forward to destroy walls and armors, as they are incredible sharp and damaging, and even cut into skin and muscle, thus do heavy damage to any opposing shinobi. They also be combined with Katon to create fire tornadoes, as seen in the example of combining this jutsu with Fire Release: Running Fire.

+ How to be countered in a battle

One method to counter this jutsu is by reversing the motion of the tornado, in other words, propel a twirling wind twirling in the opposite direction of the initial twirl itself will cancel out the tornado. Also, using katon jutsus will consume the tornado itself, although this is harder when the combination described earlier is used. Thus, a truly simple counter is to use the Digging Like a Mole technique. The reasoning behind this is that these tornadoes aren’t incredibly powerful, just sharp. Thus, they don’t possess the ability to dig extremely deep into the earth, thus allowing a shinobi using this technique to perfectly dodge this jutsu with ease.

+ Some advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

1.) This is an incredibly sharp jutsu, allowing you to cut down numerous clones, projectiles, jutsus, etc., with just one tornado, and this releases up to four, thus allowing for a great forward defense
2.) You can scatter these tornadoes in numerous directions, thus helping you zone the opposing shinobi and control their next actions
3.) You can combine this with the Fire Release: Running Fire technique, and thus force the opposing shinobi back, helping you gain more ground, and possibly even eliminate trees and other upper ground, thus also gaining you a potential height advantage

Disadvantages:

1.) These tornadoes scatter projectiles randomly, thus making it harder to use the opposing shinobi’s projectiles against them, only serving as a passive defense rather than an aggressive defense in this regard
2.) These tornadoes are quite small in size, thus a decent sized doton spike or wall would be able to repel them with ease
3.) Any explosive tag close to you would explode the instant a tornado would hit it, and because of the twirling motion, the explosion would approach you, thus making this defense backfire

+ Your personal opinion about the technique

This is actually a cool jutsu, and I can’t wait to playtest with it :3.

Two questions though:

1.) Can you make the tornadoes move horizontal parallel to the ground, or only vertically perpendicular?
2.) Can you combine this with a water source to create waterspouts?
