Cool end of training test :3.

Immediately upon seeing the stream of fire race toward his position Jugram channels suiton chakra into his mouth while forming a quick series of three hand seals. Soon a huge jet of water races from his mouth to meet the stream of fire. The jet overpowers the fire and quickly continues onto Hashirama, although slightly weaker from the encounter with the stream of fire.
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After waving the Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit hand seals, the user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.

Once this is finished Jugram weaves three more hand seals to form a whip of water in his right hand. The kunai at this point have just finished the peak of their arc and are now racing down toward him. Jugram takes the whip and, with a fluid right to left motion with his hand, knocks both kunai far out off their original flight paths.
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After the user performs a series of 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

So I went with Water Horn as my first choice because I wanted to counter your stream of fire with something that could do that and continue on the hit you. I needed something to distract you so I could perform the water whip without having to worry about you attacking me while I had materialized the water whip.

So for the water whip I wanted something simple and chakra efficient that could smack away the kunai. The wording of the Fuuin description said that when it comes in contact with foreign chakra it activates. So I felt going with something precise to hit just the kunai would be my best bet. Since the fuuin may be highly advanced it is just only tagged to a kunai so a simple technique to blow it off course would be sufficient to protect myself. I could have even used two d-rank blasts of water to knock them away however I felt that would be pushing it in terms of time so I just decided to whip them away with the water whip.

Water horn was not the best one but the last counter was indeed clever. However, there are some minor notes:

-I can throw kunais at you while exhaling the fire; you cannot use 2 water techniques that aren't completementary at the same time

-Streams are best countered by either walls or streams. A fire stream is best countered by either a wall, or a stream of water. Projectiles are less suitable to be countered by streams and more counterable by dodging or through the use of walls.

Now, a good move would have been to use water wall and, when you notice the kunais above, use water tornado on the water wall, shaping it in a way that intercepts the kunais and prevents them form hitting you. However, its unlikely that you could see that the kunais were tagged due to the mist, collission of the water with the fire and your position. Be careful with those aspects and always try to visualize how things will happen as you mentally test out various counters.

Ok, time for a second move...

*Hashirama does two simple handseals and exhales a large wind bullet at you. He quickly runs to the left, doing a cartwheel and landing 4 meters to his left, slamming his hands on the ground. The ground behind you suddenly raises up into a massive wall, 20 meters tall, 20 meters thick, 20 meters wide, less than 5 meters from your body*

(Fūton: Shinkū Taigyoku) – Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: After performing two hand seals Tiger → Dog the user launches a stronger version of the Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere technique, where the user instead chooses to compress the entirety of the previously inhaled breath into a single large, crushing sphere of wind chakra that they then proceed to expel from their mouth.

(Doton: Chidōkaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

Alright, understood. Thank you for the notes :). About this next one. I'm not sure if this is a trick or not xD. Guess I'll find out.
Seeing Hashirama perform two quick hand seals and launch a large and compressed sphere of wind at him Jugram quickly kneads an enormous amount of suiton chakra inside of his body and releases from his mouth as an extremely quick and dense torrent. Using shape manipulation simultaneously he creates a barricade that would defend against the powerful wind sphere that was directed toward him. The wind sphere would clash against the massive barricade and die out against it. The barricade would also fall as well.
Rank: S
Type: Defence
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: A defensive technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into water, and then expelled from the mouth in a dense torrent, effectively creating a near instantaneous barricade that can be used to intercept incoming attacks.

The huge barricade would block his line of sight with Hashirama and as such he was taken by surprise when a massive pillar would erect itself a little less than five meters behind him.

So I went with Water Encampment Pillar for a few reasons. For the first one I'm only allowed to use suitons. Water is neutral to wind and as such as long as I picked an S-rank technique within the proper size and shape to stop the sphere of wind I would be safe. Water Encampment Pillar was plenty large and would be a great defense against a projectile (building off what you said in your previous post about projectiles). So the two would clash and neutralize each other. Since it was your only offensive move and my line of sight was blocked with you I wouldn't have been able to stop you from creating the earthen pillar behind me.

Additionally, the jutsu didn't require a water source and is very quick. As it says in the description it is nearly an instantaneous defense. So I wanted something that wouldn't consume my water source.

*As both techniques collide, producing large amounts of a hanging mist, I use my chakra and, hidden from you, I disappear from your sight instead of using the moving earth core technique, taking the change to incircle you from your left, aiming to hit you with a powerful roundabout kick. I race towards you, approaching from your left and jumping slightly with my left leg, while rotating, from right to left, extending my right leg and aiming to deliver a powerful kick to your leg, above the knee. If it connects, your leg is broken and you're sent back thumbling across the floor. My superior rank, speed and higher proficiency with taijutsu makes this all happen in a blur of moments and all without your awareness*

(Meisaigakure no Jutsu) - Hiding with Camouflage Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30 (-10 per turn active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This is a ninja escape technique that allows the user after performing the Tiger hand seal to control how light is reflected around their body with chakra inflections. The technique also erases the user's scent and shadow, and is usable on any terrain, making it ideal not only for covert maneuvers but also offensive strikes. Perceiving the user's position is possible only for ninja who are astute enough to observe minute variations within their surrounding environment, such as distortions of air currents in the immediate vicinity or distinguishing sounds, i.e. footsteps etc. However, the usefulness of this ability can be entirely negated by those with special vision or sensory skills. The Second Tsuchikage, Mū's mastery of this technique helped earn him the moniker "Non-Person" seemingly having neither form nor chakra while the technique was active. Thus, he could not be sensed through traditional means.
Note: Technique lasts a total of 3 turns

As the techniques collide Jugram becomes wary as a massive hanging mist forms around him and Hashirama. Suddenly he is able to see distortions in the mist as the charge is made. Without hesitation Jugram opens his mouth after weaving the Ram hand seal and molding a huge amount of suiton chakra and releases a massive stream of water which pushes him high up into the air well out of range of Hashirama's kick. As he moves up massive waves will form around the impact site of the water and rush toward you. However, Jugram will not apply shape manipulation to create an orb from the water he is releasing. Instead he will simply use it to create powerful waves with immense brute force capable of crushing bones on impact.
Rank: A
Type: Offensive,Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This technique is a stronger version of exploding water colliding wave technique. The user will first perform the ram hand seal and then spits out a large amount of water that covers an entire area, with massive waves that can crush the opponent. The user then forms the water into a giant orb, instead of releasing like weaker version of the technique.

The result causes their entire battlefield to become a massive lake afterwards. The lake forms very quickly as the waves move outward to fill the surrounding area with water.

So I went with Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave for two reasons. It would act as a way to evade your kick by pushing me upwards a few meters. Additionally I can use it to crush you with the waves. So this makes it hugely advantageous as a two fold defense/attack move.

So you only became invisible with your attack. Not intangible as well. So the mist created from the collision of our two previous techniques would still be distorted and obstructed by your quick movements. This would give me a brief few seconds to form the hand seal and throw myself up with water. Of course that is the primary thing I am worried about with this counter is the timing.

My second choice of an evasive technique was Water Replacement. But it felt so bland and I wanted to try something that could be used to defend myself and attack you simultaneously. I was feeling a bit adventurous xD.

I'm not entirely sure, i thought his move was good, lol. >.>

Anyways, after reading through it, his wording suggests that he would not have enough time to form the seal and perform the technique. The mist surrounding you is literally, all around you, not in between you guys because the water technique you used previously is a torrent of water that is shaped around you. "Suddenly he is able to see distortions in the mist as the charge is made." So, because you state that you see the mist distorted, this means that Hashirama would be at short-range, at least, because that is where the mist is located and because of his superior rank and speed, i don't think you'd dodge it quick enough.

I hope i wasn't too far off. o_o

More or less. This is a case of borderline metagaming:

Without hesitation Jugram opens his mouth after weaving the Ram hand seal and molding a huge amount of suiton chakra and releases a massive stream of water which pushes him high up into the air well out of range of Hashirama's kick. As he moves up massive waves will form around the impact site of the water and rush toward you.
Our techniques collide between us, so the mist hindering effect is between us. There are no distortions to notice and the mist, not being chakra powered, rapidly disperses before engulfing me or the enemy. The effect is momentary and saying you can see the distortions in the mist won't work in this case. Also, if the mist was covering us, how could he see the distortions? Mist can hinder sight from 3m onwards if its thick and I'm mid range which can be anything from 5 to 15 meters away. A large area to see distortions in. Also, what if I had moved backwards into long range? Why use that technique?

I made this move to teach you that you shouldn't disregard moves from your opponent. The moving earth core was a move I posted just to trick you into not doing anything and allowing me to, in my second move, change it to something that suited my situation better. The fact that we can metagame (have access to information our characters don't) is also something we can exploit as about 70% of the people metagame completely but 99% of them metagame unconsciously.

Your best counter here would have been to act on hearing since you wouldn't have much time to trigger the chakra sensing rain and act according to its input. So you'd wait until you hear me short range and then use some fast technique that can attack the overal direction I'm coming but is large enough to make sure you don't need to aim it that well (a certain B-Rank stream of water from your hand would be a good call). When I'm hidden, I cannot mold chakra as doing so ends the technique. This is a metagaming fact however, as long as you don't state it and make you move normally and not based on that principle, its ok. If you said you knew what technique I used and infered your counter from that point, then you'd need to reason also how you knew and if so, it would be hard to reason how you knew it was that technique. Many techniques to mkae you invisible exist. I could have even hidden undersground for example and not be invisible. Until I actually was heard next to you, or even until I hit you, there would be almost no way of knowing.

Now, questions from both of you?

This is a great strategy actually O__O I should try that out sometime...

If you were to move backwards, wouldn't you be affected by the Great exploding water colliding wave, since it's long-range and a large-scaled technique?

No other questions.

I have the same question Edward posed as well regarding the reach of the technique.

One other point about your strategy concerning the Earth Moving Core. I understand and it is an excellent strategy. However I was confused about the exercise itself. I knew it was strange that you used that and I didn't disregard it and act as if nothing happened when I was thinking out my counter. I suppose my point here is I was unsure if I should continue on to attack you or not or if this exercise/test is solely focused on defending myself with suiton techniques.

And I see what you mean about the sound. Not sure why I didn't point that out back then. It seems obvious looking back on it xD.

No further questions :).

Yes but this is were logic applies. If you knew I would move into Long range, would you have used that technique? Its not fast or that damaging. If I move into long range, you'd be more effective if you used a fast projectile attack rather than such a large technique. Sometimes, big isn't better. Large scale techniques are more effective if you need to counter something of a similar scale. However, in one on one fights, with an opponnent hidden from your senses, you should always focus on first finding him and second attack him. You don't need to find his exact location but you need to make sure you're "pointing" at the right direction before you "shoot". Rampaging all around is more than likely something that won't work or won't wield the needed result per your chakra cost.

I have the same question Edward posed as well regarding the reach of the technique.

I'm posting moves as if someone woudl post them against you. In battle, defense is excellent and that should always be your first focus in terms of mastering skills: how to defend and having a good solid defense. However, one who only defends eventually gets defeated. You need to, if possible at all times, attack while defending.

Now, ready for your final move?

*I do a quick sequence of 3 handseals, comboing one after another, 3 techniques. The ground beneath your feet instantly turns into mud, deep beneath you (30 meters deep) and mid range around you in a circular area. It then suddenly spirals inwards into a vortex of mud, rapidly pulling you beneath. The technique takes advantage of how fluid the mud is in comparisson to the normal ground in which its used, rapidly creating a much faster and larger vortex, encompassing all of the muddy area. The last handseal drops a large amount of mud on top of you, further crushing you in a mayhem of mud. A pigs dream. Your nightmare*

(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

(Doton: Arijigoku no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Antlion Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user performs the Ram hand seal and causes causes the ground and everything on and around it to be sucked in towards the middle of a large pit, much like the method an antlion uses to catch prey. Upon being dragged to the centre, the victim will then be sucked underground. There the victim, depending on how deep the user makes them sink, will be trapped and/or suffocated. The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user does 2 handseals (Ram → Snake) and creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of sticky mud (in all similar to that of Swamp of the Underworld Technique), covering them. The mud is very heavy and thick as well as adhesive, making it impossible to move if caught and easily crushing an enemy underneath. It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.

Going to assume everything got reset and we are back to mid range.
I kept my eyes on Hashirama. Suddenly he quickly wove his first hand seal and the ground beneath me turned to mud. Without hesitation I form the Tiger hand seal and unleash a powerful jet of water from my mouth at a 30 degree angle aimed into the swamp. The force and extremely high pressure of the jet combined with its speed will pierce through the swamp and strike the solid earth at the end of it (I am assuming I am the center point of the swamp and the edge of it in front of me is 5 meters away). As the water strikes the edge of the the swamp it launches me backwards and into the air at a very fast speed allowing me to evade your vortex and push me back far enough to evade the massive amount of mud that is about to fall on me from the sky (meaning I am now in long-range). As soon as I am launched safely into the air I lift my head slightly to redirect the pressurized stream of water at you aiming to slice you in half from your crotch to your brain.
Type: Offensive
Rank: S-rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description:
After doing the Tiger hand seal, the user will quickly exhale a very thin stream of pressurized water that will be able to cut even rock. The most noteworthy feature of the technique is how fast the stream is and how sharp it can be. By moving his head, the user can alter the jet's cutting path, creating longer cuts or affecting bigger targets.

By the time I whip my head up to slice you in half I will have landed on the ground in long-range. As I fall toward the ground I reach down to slam my hand against it causing a massive amount of water to form above you, after releasing the stream of water of course.
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will slam their hands against then ground allowing him/her to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.
Note: The water needs to be summoned at least 10 meters above the opponent to have any real effect.

After the mass of water forms I stand up and weave a few hand seals causing a chakra infused rain to fall allowing me to sense any movement in the battlefield that would obstruct the rain.
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

Okay, so the breakdown.

I enjoyed this move. Definitely a fun pig bath xD. So I needed something that would allow me to pretty much evade all of it in one go since you weave the jutsu with such speed. I felt Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave would be too slow to push me away and Water Bullet (S-Rank) would be as well. So I felt my best option would be to use Severing Wave's highly pressurized stream to my advantage. I reasoned that the fact the stream would pierce through the mud/swamp would weaken it slightly and allow me to push off the edge of the swamp which would be five meters away (read it in a battle test too so I have a lot of confidence in this move. inb4 you tear it down lol :|). So I felt pretty safe doing this since it was only 5 meters. And for a technique as fast as severing wave I definitely thought it could break through that gap pretty quickly. Definitely before your vortex could fully form at least.

So after that I wanted to use severing wave to kill you. All I had to do was redirect my head up ever so slightly to change the angle. That made it a fantastic way to use an evasive technique as an offensive one as well. And it certainly is a deadly one. So as I flew in the air I would do that to cut you in half. And after re-positioning my head and giving it enough time to cut you I would be on the ground and away from the swamp and your falling mud. Which I would use that time to just slam my hand on the ground and drop a lot of water on you. This would mean that even if you avoided the severing wave you'd have to defend against the water as well. Then to top it off I'd use that time you needed to defend yourself to use a supplementary to give myself a makeshift sensory ability.

You had the right idea, but you used the wrong technique. The technique you used is meant to be as thin and pressurized as possible, enough to be able to cut through rock. So, by using the earth as a 'foundation' to push yourself out of the swamp and with this specific technique, the technique would simply pierce through the no-rank earth. I do believe that using the S-rank water bullet (stream based one) would have worked because it is much larger than this thin pressurized/stream of water so it wouldn't pierce through the earth and it offers more control because it doesn't have as much pressure as the severing wave technique.

But, that's only my opinion. Let's hope i was right, or close to being right. ._.

Edward is correct. You needed a bigger scaled technique that would apply pressure in a bigger area so as to push you backwards. Even the B-Rank Water Horn might have worked for this.

My main pointer to you is to be logical and think it through. You understood the techniques correctly and you're average in what you showed in your replies and counters. You're not bad but you need to gain more experience, read and improve. If you do, you'll be a great one.

From me, you're free to go. You mastered Water Release. Thank Edward and wait until he says some parting words.
