A Retake on Minato

I'll just say this...when Itachi met Jiraiya in part 1 Itachi knew not to mess with him. (that ep when we see Itachi & Kisame try to take Naruto).

Jiraiya would wipe the floor with Itachi. Itachi was under Pain in strength. Pain knew that Jiraiya would've beaten him had he known the secret of the Rinnegan (Pain admitted this after killing Jiraiya).

Minato surpassed Jiraiya, therefore Minato > Itachi. Not saying Itachi isn't cool he's actually my second favorite, but Minato was a Kage who is considered the greatest ninja of his time. Itachi isn't up to that level.

he did not want to fight jariya becuz itachi was really aa good guy he did not want to kill him he is a real big help to the leaf village...pein meant was the secret of him being controlled an jariya finding out lol if jariya kne the secret of the rennigan lol wat if pein kne everything about sage mode then wat? if pein fought itachi an pein weakness is genjutsu itachi is a master at that so itachi has a better chance then jariya did. jariya just happy all 6 was not out at once he would have had got killed be 4 he could run away to make that genjutsu. itachi isn't up to that level they wont let uchiha's become hokage in the first place if itachi was hokage instead of minato nobody would have gotten hurt that night tobi attacked cuz itachi would have took his ass out 4 good an beat the **** out the nine tails with his sharingan.

I'm still counting Itachi and Minato as equals, Itachi has some advantages over Minato (i.e. Genjutsu, MS, Susuanno.) and same for Minato (i.e. Speed, summoning, FTG.)

My opinion they're equals.

the reaseons why itachi didn fight with jiraiya were:

1: His eyesight was bad and he was sick after slaughtering his clan.
2:he never had any intention to harm a konoha ninja.(i mean he slaughtered his clan for it O.O)
3:his plan was to live alive till sasuke faces him in combat and then die in sasuke's hands which happend.
4: and jiraiya aint no joke he would finally lose but itachi will be weakend and maybe not able to put a great fight like he did against sasuke.
and as for minato he just hasn enough feats to beat itachi he only had hype cause he was the mainchar father. some fans are under the illusion that he was unbeatable cause he is the father of naruto.

and as for itachi nagato they were deamed as equals in the manga but its how you look at it imo if you dont see the draw in it your not a good manga reader

This didn't change my opinion that Minato > Itachi, although it was sick to see this fight animated.

Actually Minato > Itachi and Edo Itachi > Minato.

If Minato can't manage to get him before susanno'o he can at least wear him out by forcing him to keep it up, but he would not be able to wear out Edo Itachi.

60/40 in Minato's favor.I'm talking out of school because we don't know anything about Minaito's genjutsu prowess.

The only three possible scenarios-in my opinion, are:

1.Minato blitzes Itachi, as soon as the match starts, and Itachi head gets cut off.

2.They start talking, or starring at each other which results in Minato getting exported into lala land.

3.A long grueling match where Minato ends up outlasting Itachi.

I feel some hipocrisy on, don't know if it's your case, how some people dispatch inmediately any narutopedia/and-alike source of information because fans write it, but when it ground his own argues they're facts...

FTG didn't left a yellow trace or anything like that, just a *puff*.

Also, tell me a single time in the MANGA where it's stated that the "yellow flash" nickname was consequence of FTG.

Give it, and I'll accept that i'm wrong, otherwise don't come like that (without arguments).

not a single FTG kunai will come near the itachi.
he is the best shuriken thrower by feats.


also he has better base speed feats than minato.

yah thats right minato has a single feat of instantanious base speed against tobi catching baby naruto.

itachi has shown that kind of base speed at more than 3 times the distance.

Dude I think that you are underrating Minato and you don't understand the prinicple of FTG.

It isn't just an attack where he throws a kunai straight at a person and then teleports to it. Go back and read the battle with A and Bee, he spreads kunai and FTG marks around so that he can instantly teleport wherever he wants to, in order to dodge attacks or set himself up for an attack.


That is why that argument is frankly retarded, not trying to be mean but if Itachi manages to hit all the kunai that Minato throws, (keep in mind that Minato knows multi clone shuriken jutsu) you know what will happen to the FTG kunai that he throws?

Absolutely nothing. They will end up in a slightly different place from where he was throwing them but they will still be scattered around the battlefield to where he can teleport to them at will to set up attacks and dodge Itachi's.

And why do yo doubt Minato's base speed? Think of how FTG works, in the kakashi gaiden there was a group of about 50 enemies that were all jounin level, as only jounin are allowed to fight on their own, and with people throwing his kunai he was able to wipe all of them out in the blink of an eye.

Do you know what it means to be able to wipe out that many people that fast? Sure he could teleport from place to place but FTG doesn't automatically kill the person and there is no way all those kunai went straight at each and every person and they did nothing about it. That means that Minato's speed after using FTG has to be insane and his reaction speed and thought process has to be even faster if he can teleport to each one, assess where he is and manage to kill the person and then do that fifty more times.

That is what people just don't get about FTG, it is pretty much useless unless you have some ungodly reaction times and inhuman speed.



By the way I still think Itachi would win via genjutsu, only because we haven't seen how Minato would deal with it due to his lack of battles feats being shown. Obviously A wasn't going to use genjutsu, and Tobi didn't either so how would he show a defense against it? Kishi doesn't make people show off abilities they wouldn't need in a fight.

But if for any reason Itachi's genjutsu wasn't much of a problem for Minato, then I don't see Itachi winning a long battle, Itachi either wins it in the first two minutes or he doesn't win IMO.
