695 Viz l Naruto on defense!

It was obvious except to the Naruto naysayers that Naruto was holding back I read the English,Spanish and Italian scans but the Sasuke apologist keep saying no the same way the Sakura apologist keep denying Naruto and Hinata' feelings for each other in English. Its so sad when people can't accept the truth and use translation as an excuse to justify their faulty thinking.

I speak as Sibyls do, as both are slave to author's pen and plume, Naruto and Sasuke's rancor shall end in joyful restitute.
Even if it hit him, who gives a flying fu*k? It obviously didn't do squat. I guess when the argument in which Naruto isn't defensive sailed, the only thing to hold on is if he was hit, no matter that it's so small and irrelevant.
I agree with all this entirely. It's showing just how different things are between the two since the last time they were in this location. Much respect for Naruto (and Kishi of course) for emphasizing the pain of being alone and trying to prevent Sasuke from going through such pain again. There's been an emphasis in this manga that being alone is not the way to bringing about good change (Obito, Itachi, Madara, Indra, etc). Naruto will teach Sasuke that being alone will overall be his downfall is what I imagine.After reading the viz scans, i can only see how fantastic this chapter was.
Naruto now knows how it feels to loose someone. He lost jiraiya.
Naruto knows how painful it is to be lonely and naruto does not want to let sasuke be alone like that.
I really like naruto for doing that.
And naruto being on defensive does mean he was holding back. Sasuke was on the offensive but naruto was not.He could not get himself to attack sasuke, his dearest friend.
And i am sure sasuke was holding back too, the attacks he initiated landed successfully but it did not do as much damage as they usually do. I think sasuke was just agitating naruto and he finally asked him to stop being defensive because he was getting cornered. He advised naruto to make some offensive moves or he would lose eventually (which is true).
If he came out of the attack then why are you making it an option that he dodged it? Given the clues it shouldn't be that hard, even for clueless Naruto fanboys.
At first, when the chapter came out, people were saying that the Chidori didn't hit him at all and that he just dodged it when it clearly shows the words from the text balloon and Naruto being thrown back. How is that not enough evidence? Now people are saying that Sasuke's Chidori hit Naruto but he simply tanked it.
Okay, so which one is it? Did he dodge it or did he tank it? If you say the former then you are just being foolish.
I'll answer for you. He obviously tanked it, otherwise their would be no reason for Naruto to make that noise and be blown back like he got hit, when in fact he did get hit.
We bring you a piece of information the first time you see it and then when it doesn't work for you, you deny it as if you don't understand it and then come up with something else that would try to work for you; when in fact your very first prediction was incorrect.
Fact is, Naruto got hit by Chidori but it didn't damage him. Very fckign simple honestly.

...the option that he dodged it exists because naruto came out of the attack with zero damage and we donʻt see the chidori connecting with him.
Iʻm fine with either of the conclusions, itʻs just that both of them seem equally plausible because since when does sasukeʻs chidori push someone away, or do zero damage to them?
Plus, if you want to talk about making grunting sounds when not hit, characters actually do do that. Naruto and Sasuke both did it when they dodged kaguyaʻs ash bone for example.
I believe Kishi should have went for a friendly fight instead. This fight feel so forced, that it doesn't seem serious. To me, it feel like Sasuke already know the right answer, but is intentionally choosing to the wrong one.
Eh, you wanst too careful while reading the manga. Sasuke looked to be the superior one during the fight with Madara, Naruto looked to be the superior one during the fight with Kaguya - both of them had their time to shine. Kishimoto even said that he intent them to be equals, and thats exaclty what manga shows.
