It was obvious except to the Naruto naysayers that Naruto was holding back I read the English,Spanish and Italian scans but the Sasuke apologist keep saying no the same way the Sakura apologist keep denying Naruto and Hinata' feelings for each other in English. After reading the viz scans, i can only see how fantastic this chapter was.

Naruto now knows how it feels to loose someone. He lost jiraiya.
Naruto knows how painful it is to be lonely and naruto does not want to let sasuke be alone like that. ♥
I really like naruto for doing that.

And naruto being on defensive does mean he was holding back. Sasuke was on the offensive but naruto was not.He could not get himself to attack sasuke, his dearest friend.

And i am sure sasuke was holding back too, the attacks he initiated landed successfully but it did not do as much damage as they usually do. I think sasuke was just agitating naruto and he finally asked him to stop being defensive because he was getting cornered. He advised naruto to make some offensive moves or he would lose eventually (which is true).

I agree with all this entirely. It's showing just how different things are between the two since the last time they were in this location. Much respect for Naruto (and Kishi of course) for emphasizing the pain of being alone and trying to prevent Sasuke from going through such pain again. There's been an emphasis in this manga that being alone is not the way to bringing about good change (Obito, Itachi, Madara, Indra, etc). Naruto will teach Sasuke that being alone will overall be his downfall is what I imagine.

Iʻm fine with either of the conclusions, itʻs just that both of them seem equally plausible because since when does sasukeʻs chidori push someone away, or do zero damage to them?

Plus, if you want to talk about making grunting sounds when not hit, characters actually do do that. Naruto and Sasuke both did it when they dodged kaguyaʻs ash bone for example.

I believe Kishi should have went for a friendly fight instead. This fight feel so forced, that it doesn't seem serious. To me, it feel like Sasuke already know the right answer, but is intentionally choosing to the wrong one.

I am assuming that everyone who is saying that plot saved Naruto read the past 10-20 chapters... Because anyone who is a rational thinker would know that after the Kaguya fight, there is no way in hell that Sasuke could touch Naruto...
Kishi ****ed up the power scale on most of his characters...He made Naruto too OP for the Kaguya fight while having Sasuke look like a fodder to the point where he said Nothing he does works to not even laying a blow on her while Naruto destroyed her. Now all of a sudden Sasuke looks like he is on the same playing field with Naruto...

He made Madara way too OP then he got ****ed by BZ
Kaguya who is the goddess of chakra got done by two brats.

Eh, you wanst too careful while reading the manga. Sasuke looked to be the superior one during the fight with Madara, Naruto looked to be the superior one during the fight with Kaguya - both of them had their time to shine. Kishimoto even said that he intent them to be equals, and thats exaclty what manga shows.
