If Ran were a real person I would have preferred for him to be alive (I'm not much of a necroplile), but as a character he is better off the way he is in the manga.

this anime/manga can never be as big as Naruto, Bleach or even One Piece.
i Just feel like it doesn't have what it takes to be like the ones above.
Seven deadly Sins has much greater Chance than this one.
the Anime of AKG just sucked so bad, which will undoubtedly affected the Manga as well.
if the Anime had been done well, then the fandom for it would greatly increase(as it was the case the Attack on titans)
but now, i don't think the manga itself would be any bigger

AgK already reached the peak of it's popularity with the anime being out. I agree that AgK couldn't possibly be even near Naruto, Bleach or One Piece since it isn't either popular enough nor does it even sell well enough to kiss the feet of Narutu/Bleach/whatever sales.

Of course it can't. It's not a weekly series and it's not "for everyone" with its gore, violence, rape etc. I mean, it's labeled as Shounen but its level of mature content is somewhat above average Shounen, at the same time it still has typical Shounen elements and therefore isn't Seinen.
It basically appeals to a rather narrow audience since it doesn't have much to it besides (rather specific kind of) action. It doesn't explore the setting too much, it doesn't develop characters, it doesn't elaborate upon some potentially interesting story elements/plotlines. It did not create a universe like any of the popular weekly series you named. The most popular works of fiction usually involve a rather detailed world that fans might even wish to live in, and AgK didn't. At least that's how I see it.

agk is total ass cheeks in Japan, its the edgy version of FT basically(Japan prefers light hearted baby shows so FT is more successful).

Just as I'm about to ask Aya the **** she wants, she yells cheerfully; ''Read Yaiba!'' ... Nothing. I stand there. I just stand there, doing nothing.
You can feel absolutely no emotion from me. Not even irritation, which confuses the young lass. Just about as she's ready to say something again, I reach out with my hand towards Aya's face and before she could say anything more, I grab and squeeze both of her cheeks with my hand, making her mouth take an ''o'' shape and saliva pour down, making her unable to say any proper words.

Yeah, I kept missing that one. Maybe because I never re-read the Wave vs Syura part after reading it for the first time. I also didn't realize that Wave wanted to keep beating up Syura :| So he isn't all goody goody as we're supposed to believe.
I wanted to make a compilation of characters drawn with the same face with some face/hair swaps, but it would be too big :|
Learning to draw different poses and expressions is harder than applying same thing several times afterall.
That's why some people even theoritize what would occur by drawing "parallels" between different characters (you know who i am talking about).

To be fair, AgK's artist draws poses and expressions pretty well, as in, they are "expressive" enough. He does reuse a lot of things and makes tons of errors, I suppose it's due to time constraints because he obviously can draw quite well otherwise.
