I like how I can't participate in this ****ing conversation because I have watched like 5 episodes of SnK and ended up dropping it. (._. )

A Yandere acts sweet if needed, but she's only truly sweet to the person she likes. Mikasa is nice to Eren. Nice to the person she likes, tears apart anyone who tries to hurt that person. Mikasa fits the description of a Yandere. It just seems unlikely to you because she isn't a perfect Yandere due to lacking a completely insane part of herself.
No I get what your saying, I just disagree. Kundere are definitely protective of their comrades as well. Mikasa was just told to protect Eren as a dying wish of his mother and because he saved her she feel obligated. There has been times where mikasa didn't help Eren when a yandere would have, like when Levi was beating the shit out of him. A yandere would have murdered Levi right there with no regard or fucks for the consequences. There are other times as well that if she was a yandere she would have went smooth off.

So we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

He's her brother, for god's sake. When Eren "died", Mikasa helped Armin get his shit right and protected him. Kuuderes only care for the ones they love and trust. In AOT, just because they are forced to kill the titans without mercy, that doesn't make them psyhotic like yanderes. Mikasa doesn't show her care if someone dies. She cares, of course, but doesn't show it. Protecting Eren by all costs was a promise made to his mother while she was dying, she has to do it. That doesn't make her crazy about Eren or Yandere ._.
No sister loves her brother THAT much. And what Mikasa feels for him definitely isn't sibling love, she's literally in love with him because of he rescued her and thaught her to fight if she wants to win. If I remember correctly, Mikasa went batshit after Eren ''died'' to the point where she was overusing her gas supply and tried to slaughter as many titans as she could and even gave up on life after that despite still having Armin. That's what a Yandere would do.

Is nice and sweet to the person she likes? Yes.
Does she tear apart anyone who tries to harm that person and goes batshit? Yes.

Brother or not, she loves him and only him.

Now let's look at the descriptions again.

Kuudere:
An anime/manga slang term for a character that is cold, blunt, cynical, and pretty much doesn't care if her beloved dies. That's what she is on the outside but she is actually caring and nice on the inside.

Yandere:
Contrary to the popular belief that it is the opposite of tsundere, it describes an anime character who is either psychotic or violent or both, and shows affection to the main character. Became a popular moe genre after the airing of the last episode of School Days. Other yandere characters include Ryuuguu Rena from Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni series.

"doesn't care if her beloved dies" <-- that's basically the opposite of how Mikasa thinks.
"who is either psychotic or violent or both" <-- Mikasa is rather violent whenever someone touches Eren

<-- votes say she's more yandere than kuudere, mainly both

Alright. I'll just post one more argument.

Despite that time with the Levi, if I remember correctly, she was about to jump in there and attack the person who is levels above her, but was stopped. Of course a better Yandere (an insane Yandere) would have jumped in there even if someone tried to reason with her, but Mikasa isn't this better version of Yandere because she isn't insane.

Which makes her a Kundere.
