It is a shame that he gets so little screen time. I hope we get to at least see him during this Gaiden. I think Kishi should send him off to go train with Son Goku. That would be epic.

So you're saying that one punch wouldn't have killed Madara, Sakura would need multiple. That contradicts your original statement. Also Madara has amazing regeneration. Sakura doesn't have the speed or chakra reserves to deliver a barrage of punches that would begin to give Madara trouble.

Madara toyed with Gai during that fight. When he did get serious, Gai needed Minato, Gaara, Kakashi and Lee to help him. You assume the fight against a serious Madara would get to Night Guy. Madara could kill Gai before he releases the eighth gate.

No, it isn't. Unless you use outliers and plot induced stupidity to justify it. The punch barely affected his limbo clone, which is more than likely weaker than the original.

Madara covers himself with tsb and Gai can't get to him. He gets disintegrated.

Sasuke. Thats it. Genjutsu and CT takes out most. Teleportation and stamina defeats the rest.
