Having Hashirama's dna doesnt mean he can use every jutsu Hashirama could. Bringer of darkness gen jutsu for instance. If Edo Madara himself says Hashirama can stop him then he can.

While I agree he wouldn't have all his techniques, in particular total darkness technique I don't think would be enough for him to sole. But with assistance it could play out in his favor (Oro, 1st, 2nd).
