The only shinobi in Narutoversum who can fight againts Sharingan users without looking in their eyes at all is Gai, no one else.

This match wouldn't get past genjutsu. If and only if Kisame manages to drag the battle out he would have a chance to win. You mention great shark bullet and 1000 sharks but these have preparations to make.

He can't just whip it out in the beginning and that will be his downfall. Kisame cannot counter Itachis tsyukomi with samadah. He will always be inferior to Itachi.

because he's parnters with Itachi. Do you really think a man like Kisame, who has betrayed ppl before, wouldnt prep himself for a possible brawl with a man capable of killing his own clan? Kisame isnt stupid, he knew eye contact was Itachi's strength against any opponent, and Im sure he trained for this. Also, it mentioned that it was too difficult of a task, especially since Gai told the others to do it on the spot. His intelligence might not be high, but he is a warrior and he's great one at that

The hardest thing to avoid is that large mass of water Kisame has... with that, Kisame has the upper-hand on many people and not just itachi...

If itachi finds a way to counter that then it should be itachi who wins... but it all depends...

Oro was Itachi partner?? Oro was very simple in his attempt to take Itachi's body, idk what he was thinking at that point. This is something we both agreed on, Oro didnt make smart battlefield tactics. Kisame being his partner is a valid point and an important factor in this fight

Gai has trained not to look into a sharigans eyes because Kakashi was his rival. It's safe to say hes been doing this for a long time. We can't assume Kisame has trained not to look into someone eyes. Kisame would know not to but that will definetly effect his fighting abilites.

This is foolish considering Itachi was able to cast a genjutsu on Sasuke from a far distance. The distance of the fight will obviously start where both can see each other. In a fight with Itachi you need to counter his genjutsu period. With a measly 2.5 in genjutsu for Kisame Itachi handles him easy.

Itachi has far greater intelligence than kisame so I don't really know what you're trying to say.

After some thought and observation,, I have come to the conclusion the Kismae is greater than Itachi and would win 7/10. Btw Ima keep this short (ppl usually dont like long topics)


Kismae alone has the ability to obseve charka with or w/o Samehada. This would be very effective against someone like Itachi who doesnt have the best stamina and who has chakra based attacks (requiring high chakra use). Great Shark Bullet Technique too has the ability to absorb the chakra from an opponent's technique, and in turn, use that chakra to grow larger and more powerful. This would be the perfect counter for Itachi's Susanoo and it hasnt been stated that Sword of Totsuka could seal anything besides the user of the jutsu, and Kisame uses this technquies as a long rang attack, giving him enough distance from Itachi.

Itachi's genjutsu would be the main issue for Kismae, but as we know genjutsu could be broken, as all a ninja needs to do is stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra. As Kisame has chakra compared to that of tailed beast, doing such thing seems more likely than not (dude seems to enjoy pain anyway)

overall Kisame has more stamina, stronger, more endurance, and feats. Now, I now Itachi is boss (not denying that), but I think Kisame has his number.

He was just a fellow member of Akatsuki, Itachi's only partner was Kisame, and Oro's was Sasori.

Gai is the worst match up for Kisame.

Why?

Because Gai doesn't use chakra in his attacks leaving Kisame w.o absorbing abilities.

Gai is also a formidable opponent to anyone because of gates.
