Itachi is in my top 3 favs.. But logically I think kisame could take him. Itachi does not have the stamina and samehada could absorb all his techs. Tsukymoi is the real problem for kisame. But perhaps with enough chakra he could break it. Maybe a samehada fusion could break it as well?

Whats ur point? They're for tools associated with chakra based technique, which uses plenty of chakra everytime used. If Kisames dupes shark bomb comes in contact with it, it'll not only obsorb some of itachi's charka and also get stronger. This technique needs to be outpowered and yata mirror (from I'm aware) can't outpower that, nor can it seal it without hitting the user

Samehada didnt like heat of normal Katon, and Amaterasu is much hotter. It woudnt stand a chance.

Not really. Kisame has no counter for Amaterasu or Tsukiyomi. Itachi was the one giving orders in this team, not the other way around.

Its not about about "being a leader", Kisame has no answer for Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu.

Tsukuyomi- no kisame cannot break this jutsu even if you were to have a massively large chakra,

the justu is instantaneous in the real world. its impossible to gather put both hands together and gather enough chakra in an instant to be able to break it.

the only way kisame avoids this jutsu is by looking at itachis feat

meaning that kisame can not predict when amerterasu is coming or react to the jutsu
in any way.
making handseals for shark summons is out of the question.

niether will samehada absorb the hottest fire technique in the series according to the databook.

your argument about itachi having lower stamina than itachi is fail.
the fact that kisame does best against people with a large chakra means is an indication of this.

1) As Itachi's partner Kisame knows that Itachi's technique depend on distance. He wouldnt be anywhere near Itachi be he knows the possible outcome

2) Kisame has been credited for his reaction time before

I can't say I don't agree as well...It is true Kisame did refer to Itachi as more then a partner but as a leader and respected him greatly...Kisame's sword of course we know has a mind of its own and does grind and absorb chakra...But without it Kisame is render'd helpless. Itachi was the prodigy of the Uchiha clan and master and creator of various genjutsu's...not only that but his taijutsu was also above normal. Of course as you rightly said Kisame could simple expell his own chakra breaking the genjutsu. But remember that Itachi's genjutsu's arent just NORMAL illusions. No one other then an Uchiha memba can break or deactive the jutsu once it has started. Not only that but Itachi's "trumph card" the 'Sunsanoo's it makes him virtually indestructible. I do agree it is true that Itachi's charka reserves are below level due to his unknown illness. Itachi also has his "Yasaka Magatama" which is his most powerful long range attack. So thinking about it, it is a offensive and even greater defensive which is not possible to defeat. So in closing Itachi is not farrr more powerful then Kisame but he has a huge edge which Kisame doesnt have...but again neither are to be under estimated at all....but I guess it is also personal preference..But Itachi will win hands down realistically...

i think ppl have a misunderstanding, thinking that Kisame is weak without samehada, as in most of his fights he barely used it (Bee I know). He can obsorb w/o it and can perform all his techniques w/o it, but it does enhance some of his abilities and allows him to sense chakra. that being said, Kisame is BA even w/o samehada.

The thing is, Kisame isn't weak, but Itachi is just so fast. When combining that level of speed with dōjutsu and legendary weapons, his opponents won't stand their ground. Only people like Minato, Naruto, Raikage, Bee, and the sort can keep up with a rejuvenated Itachi (in my opinion.)

i think it depends on the persons concentration and how well they analys a situation. Bee being able to keep up with Minato was due to him being calm and collective and noting allowing to the situation to overwhelm him. Kisame isnt stupid (not saying to said that) and could very well keep his instinct up against his partner. Also when fused, he has been credited for his speed by plenty of other shinobi.
