I honestly think that besides Haki, Shanks also utilizes kicking in his arsenal, something Mihawk doesn't do since he's a pure sword user.

Think Zoro + Sanji.

Mihawk is the strongest.

You guys need to understand that when Shanks had both arms, he wielded 2 Swords.
1 arm gone, still a Yonkou. Shanks is definitely strong, but not the Strongest Swordsman.

guess he is not worth the hype everyone is giving about him
What's with the Vice Admiral underestimation here? They haven't shown any good feats, big deal.

Fact of the matter is, they've tired Luffy out. You think all the Captains and Commodores in between hurt Luffy? No. They were the ones responsible for tiring Luffy out and making it a hard time for him. They stomped him in the dirt.

Maybe Luffy is on their general level now at this point, because I'm pretty sure he's still not capable of taking on Akainu and Kizaru at most.

You also have to think that Blackbeard's crew also progresses as the series goes on. If Shilliew (ew, I like Shiryuu more)'s base strength is higher than Zoro's, it speaks volumes of his level now.

Shanks might be the better fighter. Mihawk is the better swordsman, and most probably the no1. although the gorosei aren't actively fighting, so they could have a stronger swordsman i suppose who isnt in the running for that title

Dracule Mihawk is the world's greatest Swordsman as stated by numerous of characters in OP. Remember this is not Bleach or Naruto so those things which are obvious doesn't happen in OP. OP is quite simple and logical for example when it states Whitebeard being the strongest man in the world we cant contradict by saying maybe a hidden warrior exists on par with Whitebeard.
Mihawk currently overpowers any other swordsman.

Dont underestimate them.....they look about the same age as Whitebeard and we all know he was no "Push Over" even with that old age and Pawned the Word Gov't as a whole including Admirals U_U
You know how the strongest characters in one piece have some conneciton to each other, whitebeard even once talked about him, garp and sengoku getting old and was thinking of "those times" although they´re enemies and are the leaders of opposite sides.

I think if the gorosei were really that strong then they would be refered to by whitebeard and garp atleast once like all the other big shots.

Luffy is already exhausted when he was fighting them .what is the big deal about it .In the war ,he did take out several vice admirals on his own .He was already stronger than most of the vice admirals before the 2 yr time skip .If he is not even close to an admiral level even now after his yrs training ,then his entire point of training for 2 yrs fruitless .

Bad argument.

They were already doing that even before Luffy crash-landed in Marineford. He's not stronger than most VA's before the Time Skip. It's only the lack of feats against them that suggest that they're weaker than Luffy, yet we see that they're Rokushiki AND Haki users, same thing that Luffy is. Momonga takes it even one step further and uses a sword. Doberman has a Dalmatian Zoan.

Unless Luffy lolstomps Big Mam or something like that, he's not reaching Akainu and Kizaru's level.

Doberman is the guy with the scarred face attacking McGuy.
Dalmatian is.. well the dalmatian guy XD

(when I first saw him, I thought he was wearing a mask just like Garp)
