Haha, actually, I was thinking the exact opposite.
I always thought that Naruto thought his moves through in SM because he knew his limits and didn't want to waste chakra on meaningless stuff. In short, he strategised.
In KM though, it seems like he's high on coffee or something.
IMMA SPAM MAH RASENGAN HERE, IMMA SPAM MAH RASENSHURIKEN THERE, IMMA MAKE 40,000 CLONES N' NOT GIVE A DAMN, YEAH!
For some reason, the above sentence is what I imagine him to be thinking while in KM.
Yeah, in sage mode Naruto would keep in conscious mind things like how many FRS he'd thrown, how much nature chakra he had, where he had to be to reverse summon during the fight against the six paths of Pains. Thus, there was a lot of concern about his nature chakra levels, while at the same time consciously thinking and applying his knowledge of sage mode such as toad kata's to hit the ninjutsu absorbing path with a nature chakra extension of himself that the Rinnegan couldn't see. Thus, I guess there was more forethought in his strategies with sage mode, a more conscientious and deliberate fighter in Naruto if you will. Would you think that that's a fair description?
Naruto is still learning KM, and it's major drawback was the inability to use mass Kage Bunshin (shadow clones), which has been overcome simply because the Kyuubi, Kurama, has chosen to stop stealing Naruto's chakra, for reason's unrevealed, but I think it's to avoid taking in Naruto's warm/light anti-hatred chakra in some maladaptive way to preserve what Kurama thinks is good.
Anyway, KM has many more free parameters than sage mode does, so I would agree in large part with this assessment. For example, just the use and control of multiple chakra arms has to be a concept so foreign, but he's learnt it quite well (ex. sprouting two chakra fingers to shoot a mini-FRS, that's great chakra control). However, Naruto has not learned all there is to know in KM. Further, what is worse, is that he doesn't seem to be as aware of what he doesn't know, i.e. his weaknesses in KM as did when he was in sage mode, as this mode is so powerful that it leads to the spamming behavior and risks from not knowing his limits. Whether it's just rushing from battlefield to battlefield, or using specific jutsu, it doesn't matter, he hasn't shown much restraint (granted the Kyuubi chakra is amazing), where as in sage mode he shows efficiency. In my opinion, he'll max out both what he can learn and what he can't do in KM, as he's still learning, but he always perfects that which he's learning on the battlefield, and where is he?...Well,...he's in the middle of the 4th Great Ninja War. lol xd, so I guess he's in the right place.
I've already posted my thoughts on Naruto's general thought processing. Here regarding sage mode and Kyuubi mode, these are my current thoughts that evolve each issue and are therefor dynamic. I don't know, I like the way it's being written. Here in this chapter we had KM Naruto working with a sage mode clone, which to me is either a bit of foreshadowing, or just wishful thinking, don't know which of the two... Either way, Naruto is progressing. 569 really served as a nice foundation for the next issue, which should be quite interesting I hope.
Good post....,albeit I'm not sure Psukkar was implying the opposite, so I'll leave that to him to reply.
Edit - off-topic: By the way, anyone else notice how quickly that clone went into sage mode?
Peace
