student Vs sensi.... This depends on a lot of different factors, because it could go either eay depending on the circumstance. Can Minato teleport through solid objects? Because Jiraiya would trap him in the toads mouths. But I would have to say Jiraiya only because we seen more of his abilities. All I can remember seeing Minato do is a rasenga and teleport. I know later down the line when they show a flashback he'll be doing crazy jutsu that we haven't seen yet.

he teleported out of the house so ye he could teleport through solid objects

also I believe, genius that he was, Minato had most of the techs Jiraiya had since Jiraiya had such high hopes for him

He had to of had every jutsu that Jiraiya could teach within his abilities. I know he didn't make Hokage just by being Jiraiya's student. I just wonder why they haven't shown more of his jutsus.

Well you have to remember, didn't he teleport some untold distance away from a battle to Kushina with a tag he drew on her stomach?

do you guy pay attention at all? Did PVS say that naruto was his grandson when they walking to wherever after the train, and naruto thought he was crazy?

What some people aren't realizing is that Minato has way more than FTG and rasengan. He had at least one element he was extremely proficient with (probably wind) and possibly more because he was a kage. He was the greates fuinjutsu user we have seen, he had amazing chakra control and a large chakre reserve. He could summon all the toads like Jiraiya, he was faster and had FTG.

And this is just a theory I have based off of information in the manga but Minato most likely was a sage as well.

He did have wind based chakra.If I recall correctly he was on the verge of developing the rasen-shuriken when he was a kage. Agree that was skilled in more jutsu then FTG. Also remember that he had a good amount of sealing jutsus at his disposal. I dont think Jiraiya would win against Minato. No way. Minato was able to take down some of the strongest characters we´ve seen so far. Madara, Kyuubi, toe-to-toe with bee. Come on.Proof is too overwhelming to even give Jiraiya a chance.O.O

Minato win this one but ...

You guys are underestimating J-Man
If Minato teleport'd near J-Man, he would be stuck inside that belly or w/e, as we have seen in Jirayia vs. Pain, with that barrier, anyone who comes close goes to toad belly
Even if that doesn't happens, if Minato uses Elements or Rasengans, Jirayia can defend against that, b'cus he have his "Hair" Defense Jutsu, Katon, Doton and Oil xd

With rasengans ... think Jirayia rasengan in Sage Mode is stronger than Minato's
