obviously Itachi.. beeing an uchiha helps a lot but nevertheless he has proved (in a way similar to kakashi) from early age to being trully gifted.. although he died younger than kakashi is at the moment.. in my opinion he also died stronger than he is at the moment.

and in comparison itachi was just trained by family members naruto has had iruka the academy J-man kakashi the toads and killer bee training up till now jiraiya knows about rasengan shown naruto toads are masters in sage mode killer bee the perfect tailed beast host i mean he really got the cream of the crop in teachers
lol he really does lol kakashi hasnt been voted for yet so lets desicuss him real quick hes pretty good him self he out of all of them graduated younger then all of them and took the sharigon to a whole different level
in his own way naruto is gifted, in never giving up! but let us not forget that naruto never learn anything alone. Up 2 now naruto has always needed someone to guide him
yes he achieved sage mode and yes it is supposed to be very hard but he also has that vast chakra supply that aided him in acomplishing that!
but as a gifted shinobi in battle naruto has always been that character that is dumb but that never gives up on anyone, and eventhough he made many wrong calls he never ends up beeing killed (nor will he ever, he's the main character)..
the purpose of the character is to tell us that, even the most dumb and less gifted of us can rise to be a hero with hard work belief and never stop trying
(if he was the most gifted as u say, than the core of his character wouldn't make any sense..don't u agree?)

Kakashi is a very good strategist and shinobi maybe even as talented as itachi i mean he awakened MS uses the sharingan very well perhaps even better then some uchiha his downfall is his small chakra reserves he is no doubt a powerhouse and naruto is good not gifted but hes getting better slowly just i mean really now his whole character relies on the fox's chakra more then ever if he loses the fox he would be pretty normal maybe darui's level
yeah he did.. but in "kakashi gaiden" it was also said that because of the conflits at the time the village had a great need to promote shinobis and kakashi was the best choice..
maybe he would not have been jounin so early if it wasn't for that..
kakashi has yet to show his true power..but for what seems to be his best justu MS..he is drained after using it beeing even unable to save sakura agaisnt a blind sasuke..
itachi did what he did when on the brink of death.. if u weighed power skill and intelligence..itachi is way better

indeed but really the same could be said about there ultimate techniques itachi didnt look so hot when he used MS on kakashi not to mention the fact his death is likely related to MS use i mean you know a moves taking its toll when you start coughing up blood like an aids victim 
tough choice really i mean everyone is skilled in there own rights even sasuke pre madara was a genius now he just spams susanoo still a smart fighter to finish danzo the way he did anyway keep discussing guys ill reply to it when im home just going out have fun and good thread

Technically Kakashi is more skilled, he knows a lot more techniques and has a lot more elements, he's basically like an Itachi 2.0 if you think about it like that, however that being said, Itachi had Sharingan and Mangekyou just as Kakashi does, but Itachi's came with a lot more powers thus he had more of the upper hand when fighting enemies than Kakashi did when fighting enemies, but then again Kakashi isn't an Uchiha so he can't use his as much as Itachi can(Otherwise Kakashi would just be teleporting every enemy he wanted, in which case, everyone would be screwed if they had to fight Kakashi), otherwise I think Kakashi would be stronger than him. Also if you go by stats that Kishi has listed in the databooks, then Kakashi is a 34.5 and Itachi is a 35.5 as of the latest one which was quite awhile ago but still pretty accurate with some characters, but they're basically tied in everything, in the ones they are not tied in, either Itachi is off by .5 or Kakashi is off by .5, so yeah like I said my opinion, I consider Itachi to be able to win against Kakashi, but if Kakashi was an Uchiha then he would win against Itachi.

Kakashi is more skilled than both to me skill is different than power. Itachi and naruto has more power than kakashi but if kakashi had thier techniques i bet he would be 100% more effiecent than them via all the times he copied ppls techniques and used them more effiecently than they did themselves.and yea itachi was narutos age and promoted to head of the black ops, but when kakashi was that age he was already a jounin and he was in the middle of a war era, and was still in charge of a team (even though one teammate died).most skilled ill say kakashi hands down, most powerful prob not.
