Hum interesting chapter.
If dan was ressurected, does that mean he was a powerfull ninja? Ithought he was a "average" ninja.
Also, it looks as if kabuto ressurected powerfull ninjas...but there are a few left out of the jutsu... why? Namely kisame, jiraya, konan, danzou, madaras brother... All of these are people that kabuto knows that are dead...so, why? (and the whole 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th hokage deal again...please don't...sealed in the death reaper seal...)
Witch are the limitations of edo tensei? For the next few chapters that will be a decisive question to answer. And he seems to be having dificulty controlling all of them at once, so...will he be able to control a genius like itachi? or even nagato? they're own abilities grant them a great possibility of releasing themselves from the jutsu...or at least from its control...
I really am interested in knowing the reasons behind the choices that kabuto made by ressurecting those ninja and not others... I still don't get it... Or is it that after ressurecting the former akatsuki, the former kages and the former jinchuriki he hadn't the power to ressurect the most powerfull ninja available? because asume isn't that powerfull...
i give it a 2. gaara's speach...awsome!
yo scorps!
i gave the chapter a 3, but it is a 5 for gaara's morale boosting speech.
i'd like to share to you my ideas re "summoning" techs or jutsus. this has nothing to do with kabuto's choices of who he summoned and who he did not.
i agree, the way the chapter went re the evil tandem's force, i am also confused.
let me spit it out...("spit" because this is about kabuto who i dislike; but he amazes me)
summoning...as far my knowledge of it is concerned (where i learned from books and articles i read and films i watched) is something paranormal. it is a condition where spirits are involved. tangible bodies might or might not be a requisite. and the summoner usually is controlling the "summoned".
let me divert a bit...shamans and high priests of the pasts exercise the skills. and the skills were "borrowed" from someone or something more powerful than the shamans or priests. the skills were then used for "healing" and or cursing but not really a weapon to that extent(i'd like to give references but what's the use -- i'd rather speak my mind than redivert you to something you've read or known, besides we would not want to be accused of plagiarism -- do we?)
and these extraordinary skills had an "exchange" or contract -- the user kind of "sold" his soul to this "more powerful being". if you want, you could read re faustus who sold his soul to satan..as an example.
going back to the manga, i like the way "absurdity is conveyed". specifically re kabuto's current powers.
man, i am blown away by just thinking of his power to control all of his summons. let us digest...
1. the impure tech is really evil.
2. the spirit recognizes himself -- and some don't even know they are "dead".
3. their "free will" is intact -- and controlled - in this case by kabuto.
man, i come to my senses..."this is manga" and heck of a great manga.
to go on...
1. the impure tech is definitely "god-like", and i say it is lent. i have no idea where kabuto borrowed it..neither do i think that he learned it all by himself.
i can't accept kabuto to be "god-like' at this stage. why?...
a. he runs away from fights.
b. he wants madara side by side.
c. he seems not prepared to go one on one with madara to showcase his skills.
d. he still is a superficial character -- to me (an honest opinion and no offense meant).
ergo, kabuto's current showings are absurd. kabuto is just not in sasuke's or Naruto's (recognize how i capitalized
Naruto -- someone already did, and i like his posts as well) level.
2. the dead bodies' spirits know they are revived. they just don't have the power to control themselves. but they know they (at least most) are "DEAD". this means to me that kabuto's link to them is through the "will". leading us to...
3. "free will" is what keeps us "alive". when somebody dies, free will is already controlled by someone who is very powerful. given the choice of "free will" and being controlled, spirits of course would go for the former.
someone who is in correct mentality would not sell his "free will" or have it controlled by someone. this means that the dead bodies are nothing with out the spirit.
dead body = log
dead body + spirit = log +spirit
dead body < living body (living body meaning - with the soul/spirit)
dead body+spirit < living body
now, inject powers in the equation.
what i want to explain is, "will" which is a link of the summons and the summoner is a "weak link". but to have "control" over this will -- damn...this is heck of a power.
and kabuto again amazes me. just that this is something unacceptable- at least to me, not that i dislike kabuto but because it goes out bounds of reasons and possibilities. then again, this is manga. anime is only second. watching cartoons is for kids, but hell yeah,, i like watching cartoons.
just hope this manga won't be "cartoon-like" in impression. "depth is still a huge factor for attracting readers".
...a shinobi will get to kill kabuto, then bye-bye kabuto and his summoned minions,, madara won't care
i'd like to add,.. what if some of the summons get to "be freed" of kabuto's will connection? kabuto and madara is in deep trouble...heh, another absurdity.
anyways, hope you like what i shared. i don't want you or anyone in the forum to agree with me or believe in what i wrote. i just like a friendly exchange. i don't even assert to you i am right or wrong.
scorps, join me in continuously "reading in between the lines"... this is manga world after all
