Today my first fav Brazil's round of 16 match. They will be playing Mexico. And I believe they can win this match. Neymar you need to step up your game, toughen yourself please and be more clever and clinical. Whole team also needs to step up their game.

It's the rule since Euro 2016 I think. In a situation like that, they stopped handing out a red and a penalty because it's double punishment for a foul.

I haven't seen the match itself and scenario how it took place but I read an article about today morning on that issue. It became a quite controversy I guess. Jorgensen survived because of "Triple Jeopardy law."

The decision in fact owes to a law change ushered in by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) in 2016, when it was decided the punishment for impeding a clear goalscoring opportunity be reduced.

Previously, defenders or goalkeepers guilty of such a professional foul were liable for what was dubbed a 'triple jeopardy' punishment for the same offence: a penalty, red card and suspension for subsequent games.

Players can still be sent off for holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball or having no possibility to play the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball.

Applied to Sunday's clash, Pitana's interpretation was that Jorgensen - who had earlier opened the scoring in the first minute before Mario Mandzukic's equaliser - made an attempt to regain possession from Rebic, and thus only merited a booking.

I agree this is not apt. He should have got the Red Card because he stopped the clean goal with his interference.

Yep it is today. Fate will be decided in no more than 4 hours. In my opinion, I guess Brazil have the better chances to win this match. But if it comes to Penalties like Denmark Vs Croatia & Spain Vs Russia..... then I will hold my opinion. That gives both teams an equal chance.

Like I have said already I haven't watched any Brazil plays so far but that team is strong enough to win.

I rooted for Argentina at first and only. When it got eliminated... impressed by France plays... I am rooting for them now.

Both Russia Vs Spain and Denmark Vs Croatia are a pure thriller to watch. Defence plays at their best. Both teams had the ball under their possession equally throughout the match. And again Penalties decided the winner.

Yes good job Brazilllllll...

There still has some "holes" that need to be fixed by Brazil especially in defense. Also Brazil players need to be a bit faster in decision making, control the ball properly and more tightly because I saw some players losing the ball too easy and holding midfielder like Casemiro becoming a victim of the mistakes. Mistakes made by attacking fronts.

Anyways keep moving forward Brazil.

So Brazil with an easy win as I thought. I was at work so didn't get to see it but it seemed like a nice clean win, lol.
Even though I blew France - Argentina, Portugal - Uruguay and Spain - Russia, I'm back with two right predictions in Croatia and Brasil, even getting the way they win it right. Alright I'm back... Now for Belgium to win in normal time and we're really talking. Let's go!
