Ashura no contest, Uchiha had hax MS techs and Izanami at their disposal and despite all this they NEVER gained an advantage over the senju. They even used hashirama's dna to give themselves boost and still got defeated in the end. Imagine giving hashirama or Naruto a sharingan, even handing Nagato a rinnegan made him one of the most powerful characters. Uzumaki were seen as so powerful ppl gang banged their entire village.

First of all this is not just about uchiha and senju. Its about Ashura and Indra's descendants . And second people get the impression that uchiha were the strongest because the uchiha clan and its history was the main focus in both part 1 and 2 due to one reason or the other. No wonder people know of more characters from uchiha clan than the senju clan. And its quite understandable as Kishi needed them to look as strong as possible so that they can fail even harder.

Now lets list Ashura's descendants -

Not to mention few of the uchihas even stole an Ashura descendant's (Hashirama) DNA to further enhance their abilities.

And what actually is dumb is to think that the rest of the senju were fodder compared to the uchihas. The fact that Hashirama beat Madara so many times and Tobirama killed Izuna while the rest of the senjus were able to keep the other uchihas in check is proof enough for that.
The fact is the uchihas are overestimated and overwanked by some fans ignoring obvious mangafacts.

If Shikamaru is from the Nara clan, then let Minato also be from the clan his surname says. Plus, there's no proof of that claim. Nothing anywhere in the manga ever even hints that Minato or Jiraiya were descendants or related to the clan somehow, so stop leaping to such claims.

The Uchiha were just more talented both quality and quantity wise. Whatever you try to dish up with your claims will only make Ashura descendants look even more pathetic.

Tsunade is the only true remnant left of the Senju clan and being that shes a female character. I wouldn't use her to compare knowing Kishi's track record with female characters.

During the era of Uchiha and Senju, we are really only given any decent amount of info about Madara and Izuna and Hashirama and Tobirama and the latter were clearly superior.

In addition, Kishi clearly showed the Senju to be superior. Considering not every Uchiha awakened the sharingan and of those that did, none to the level of Madara, Shizu, Itachi and Sasuke and considering all Senju had at least some level of enhanced body and chakra reserves With Hashi and Tobi being the most powerful, I don't see how you can call the Uchiha superior.

As for the Naruto generation and beyond, there are no Senju to compare to the modern Uchiha with exception of Tsunade which I already explained so modern Uchiha are superior now only due to the Senju males being extinct.

BTW Uzamaki isn't a viable comparison. that would be like Sarada marrying a non Uchiha and trying to use her kid as a proper Uchiha representative.

Quantity beats quality. Hashirama and Tobirama were great shinobi, but it seems like Indra's descendants had far too much potential in comparison to the Senju.

Hashirama and Tobirama carried the Senju on their backs to be honest. If most Senju's were like them I could understand the pro-Senju ideas but it seems that more Uchiha's were born with unique and amazing powers in comparison to the Senju.
