The Uchiha were just more talented both quality and quantity wise. Whatever you try to dish up with your claims will only make Ashura descendants look even more pathetic.

Edit: not all descendants inherited the renowned penchant for enquiring outside help though.

I do agree that they were equals because of the rivalry, but we can't deny that the Uchiha's would have demolished them if there was no Hashirama, while the Uchiha had more poweful clansmen. It was even shown with this kid I vaguely remember who had white hair. He was a sibling of Hashirama's though. He got cornered easily and the fact he could be cornered by full grown adults like that meant the Senju were almost extinct. Just Hashirama was there to prevent that from happening sooner. The moment he was gone, it only took Tobirama dying at the hands of two fodders for the clan to be taken out completely.

Technically speaking, the Uchiha still has a pure blood, so the clan hasn't died out yet. Plus, we don't know if Itachi really only let Sasuke escape the massacre. There could have been someone else.

and most of the uchiha clansmen surrendered when Madara abandoned them. And judging form the first scan, there still were Senju clansmen when Hashirama took down Madara so that implies that the rest of the Uchiha had been dealt off prior to Madara's defeat. Madara abandoned them twice and admitted defeat during the second. So the Senju won the war.

That can't be true. I think Madara was just precocious, as was Hashirama. Hashirama at that age could handle adults and he hadn't but his taijutsu then. If Hashirama could kill adults with purely taijutsu, then the same was for Madara.
