Looks + personality is what matter.
Personality is the most important in a commited relationship. I would not want to marry and have children with someone who has really different values from mine, or happily share a house with someone with a boring personality that makes me irritated.
Looks matter, i can't have *** with someone who i can't feel atttracted. On the other hand, sometimes I didin't give a crap to some guys at first sight, but talking and hanging out with them in a daily life, I fell in love.
background doesn't matter so much. If he doesn't have a nice family, but don't agree with their values, just distance himself from them.
Brains ... I already dated a guy au corant, he was unbearable, arrogant, annoying. So I like a smart guys, but not those academicians who just know to repeat formulas, and border on arrogance even because arrogant people are stupid and insecure in truth. I already dated a guy who was kind of silly, and it was cool, intense, It endend, because he didn't add anything. But today I believe simplicity and people who take it easy are the best partners.
I like people with sense of humor and who can laugh at themselves. When you see the sense of humor of the person, you know the level of intelligence of them. Intelligence doesn't always have to do with the level of culture, but but how the information is processed and what they do with the knowledge acquired.
Everyone can buy a diploma, decorate and repeat formulas... the difficult is to understand and properly question the placed concepts .
It's definitely a mixture but it's personality more than looks. Don't wanna be rude but they can't be completely ugly.
Like you said sometimes being dumb can be cute, but if she's so dumb she becomes cringe worthy then nope. Also, sometimes there's a shallowness associated with the stupidity. I don't really like shallow people.
Yeah, that's my problem with dumb people.. most people who are dumb are common sense, led by what others say, and has childish concerns....
That said, i already dated a guy who was somewhat '''dumb", but was good hearted and was really pretty. I fell hard for him: we thought alike and we laughed the whole time until our bellies hurt. When we are together, it was as if we were drunk.
But over time I began to get annyoied with him because i missed a conversation with substance. For him everything was "ok", the world was wonderful, I was wonderful, in conversation he always agreed with me, and treated me very well. In the end, it seemed that I was dating with a cute and smiling pole.
Of course that was not the only problem that the relationship was over, and I kept liking him for a long time. On the other hand, he was not cringe worthy, just was not particularly intelligent.
