Really really really good chapter, except it wasn't that long, they should have done something special for the 500th release. But they did give a brief history of the uzamaki clan and the 9 tails previous owners. Poor Kushina, seeing her child born then having to die to keep him alive. Sad really, but well Madara is gonna be awesome in the next chapter.

I think that now Naruto knows all this he'll be able to save Sasuke. He could even tell him that their mothers were friends and so should they =). What I want to know is how Yondaime was able to take Naruto away from Madara after the latter took the nine tails. I also think that Madara killed Kusihina after he took the kyuubi away.

I don't think Minato actually retrieved Naruto; doing something like that would be much too dangerous. What I assume happened is that Minato agreed to let Madara have the Nine-Tails in exchange for Naruto, because we have to remember that Madara's target is Kushina, not Naruto. He has to keep Naruto alive because that is the main piece of leverage he has at the moment. Kushina will probably persuade Minato to sacrifice herself for Naruto, seeing as how he has an entire life in front of him, because as I've said, one false move on Minato's part will result in Naruto's death. But I do agree that Naruto will most likely divulge the truth of their parents and the hand Madara really had in the many events that took place in the Naruto world. The only question is: will Sasuke change after learning the truth, or will he be too consumed by hatred to listen to Naruto? At this point, through Madara's manipulation, Sasuke doesn't look like he's going to get off the path of destroying Konoha and severing the bonds he had in the past. Perhaps Madara, in a final act of exploitation, will sacrifice Sasuke to push his own agenda forward, and Naruto with all the power he has amassed since the time of his birth, will defeat Madara. Right now there are many possible endings to the story, so it is possible to have at least a hundred or so theories on how Naruto will end. But that is what makes a story interesting; looking ahead and deciding how events will play out.

After reading the chapter the first time, I thought that Mikoto's character was genuine, but after going back and looking at that section of the chapter multiple times, there seemed to be something hinky about her; as if there was something she wanted to tell, but knew she couldn't. While Kushina was happily talking away about how she hoped Naruto and Sasuke would become friends, Mikoto remained unusually quiet, and this leads me to think she was an informant for the Uchiha. She was Fugaku's husband, ringleader of the whole scheme, so it only adds on to the possibility. Many here are saying that Sasuke's parents had a connection with Madara; I don't think so. If Sasuke's parents knew Madara, and that he was responsible for unleashing the Nine-Tails on Konoha, the massacre might very well have been avoided. I think Madara acted completely in secret, telling nothing to no one. But what interests me is how Madara knew Kushina was the host of the Nine-Tails (something that only four people knew), and how he also figured out that a seal is weakest during childbirth. Kishimoto needs to start explaining where Madara gets his information, because he seems to know everything about the ninja world and its people.

Madara will never be beaten at this rate. I think the only one who will be able to fight him will be Sasuke. Naruto might have a good chance, but he dosn't weild the sharingan and has a strong disadvantage.

Dude he fought Pein that had RINENGAN, he can use sage mode, he can control kuyobi's chacra from now on and hes probably a senju so i dont think so, he can rape sasuke and danzo with one hand .

You are right about Madara he seems to know about everything in the ninja world and even though he has lived for so long and has so much experience he must have source of information. Madara did this on his own but he must have an informer from the top using his special Sharingan genjutsus.

Whoever Madara has in his ranks, this person is awfully willing to carry out these jobs of espionage. But who could it be? Zetsu perhaps? The only other possibility is that Madara infiltrates the places he needs to, and gets his information himself. I think the latter statement is the more likely of the two, because considering Madara's plans, he needs to be the first one who learns a piece of information; an advantage is best gained this way, and as of now, it is something that Madara clearly has.

plus being able to jump to any point in the world has it's perks of course.and I agree to be one step ahead you must do your own dirty work.I don't think madara likes to share so this way you cut the middle man basically.and also if you want it done right you do it yourself.nobody can do a job better to your liking then yourself

Madara has got a huge advantage his space time tech seems unmatched but it has to have some weakness or a limit also Madara having EMS helps in controlling people so I guess Madara did all of this by himself using his eye powers

Guys I was just wondering is the name Naruto for a boy or a girl the reason I am asking this question is that Kushina and Minato didn't knew whether they were gonna have a boy or a girl but they decided to give the name Naruto we know the reason for this. So either they would have given the name Naruto even if it was a girl or they somehow checked whether they were gonna have a boy or a girlxd I wonder which tech they used to check this outxd

Let's hope everything will be settled by next week. If i'm not mistaken jinchurikis whose bijuus are extracted dies. So, if Nine tails was extracted from Kushina, then she will die. But, if so, then the problem is how was Kushina's chakra is sealed inside Naruto?

ei guys, i just remembered i read somewhere a long time ago saying that naruto came from a long line of fire royalties and they said that it was minato maybe, i just think maybe, kishi read that prediction too and he did a twist with that! sigh... very nice chapter knowing that it was really kushina who's the master in disguise, literally! Hahaha... but yeah, the chapter was a not as we expected to be epic tho it was very informative...we have learned a lot of things from the past especially about the whirpool's eddy and how they are related to konoha and not to mention that they were better suited to be the vessel for the kyuubi. Also, it came to me when i was watching the anime, it just so coincide with the manga, idk if it was meant to be but when that amulet that tsunade gave to naruto which belongs to the first, what came to me was i think it was the first's wife for what we read in the manga it was the first's wife alone who sealed the fox to her self, maybe, she made that pendant and imbue it with some seal so that in case the wife might give birth the first will have something to pawn the kyuubi...

It has to be it Minato and his family having special powers to see whether the baby is a boy or a girl but I think they just wanted to give the name of their child what Jiraiya named in his book

check out this page. Minato says he wants his son to be like the Shinobi in Jiraiya's book. So obviously they knew they were going to have a boy. Still, it would be interesting to know how they knew this.

And just for the record, Naruto, like many of the names in this series, is not a traditional Japanese name - it's an ingredient that can go in ramen (a fish cake - if you remember the scene where it shows Jiraiya coming up with the name for his book).So it could've been used for either ***.
