Maybe 2 armed Shanks is equal to Mihawk or maybe even stornger but current Shanks would loose to Mihawk high diff right?

Otherwise why doesn't Mihawk fight Shanks anymore?

I think Mihawk and Shanks would duel with the one rule, only swords.. (no Haki or any other forms of physical combat) Shanks being a fun-loving and cocky pirate probably thought that it would be great training to enhance his own swordsmanship skills, while Mihawk probably took it a little bit more seriously, (judging by his personality and the way he carries himself) honing his skills even further and proving time and time again that he is infact a better Swordsman. And the best in the world.

Imo of course.. it's just my hunch and thoughts on it..

I highly doubt Shanks would go for his sword against the likes of Akainu, Whitebeard, and when going to war with a lesser means of combat than his main one.

Yes Mihawk is stronger regardless of what people think. I don't think the gap is big though judging by their countless duels and the fact it was unsettled, but considering it was their main fights and that Mihawk is now renowned as the strongest, Mihawk may have won their last duel

Strongest Swordsman > Other swordsmen

And Shanks is depicted as a swordsman who even had/have a rivalry with Mihawk and had countless duels, which is a battle where 2 people use similar weapons(swords in this case), it's also where his greatest accomplishment come from(it's the main thing Whitebeard remembers)

In before Shanks can kick too, as long as swordsmanship is your main fighting style, you're a swordsman and Mihawk will defect you
That's why Ohm who was a martial artist was considered a swordsman because swordsmanship was his main fighting style despite being good at martial arts too. That's why Kaku was a swordsman despite having a devil fruit and being a rokushiki user, because his best was in swordsmanship

In before Haki is a fighting style, no it's not. Garp(armament master) is known for his brawling fighting style through his fist(Garp the fist), Chinjao(CoC and Armament user) is known for his drill(fighting style and destructive power), Ohm(CoO specialist) is known as a swordsman, Vergo(Armament specialist) is known as a bamboo master and so on and so on. Haki has never been a fighting style. It's a supplement in your actual style of fighting. So as long as Shanks will be depicted as main swordsman, he'd be below Mihawk

Portrayal Wise Shanks is definitely in the lead as of now.

Title wise Mihawk would make sense. Yonkou > Shichibukai BUT Mihawks title is more specific towards him and Shanks. Its not as vague.

But titles always have loopholes in them, always. Mihawk's title could easily mean Mihawk is stronger in swordsmanship, but in a full out battle he doesn't necessarily have to be the last one standing.

There are two ways to look at Mihawk's title. Strongest person who holds a sword OR Strongest in the art of swordsmanship.

I elaborated your equations but I think your point is quite wrong on this one,
Shanks isn't stronger than Mihawk because of (Yonko>SWS), but that Shanks is the captain of one of the strongest crews in the OP world...

On-Topic:
One thing I need people to consider while comparing people with Mihawk,
Different Warlords caught WG's eye because of their significant activities and that they did with the help of their respective crews while Mihawk roamed the seas alone...

Most of the pirates have gained their reputation with their crews, same goes for Shanks and many other top-tier pirate captains... So, we shouldn't get their individuality mixed with their whole reputation.
In other words, Yonko > non-Yonko pirate crew but it doesn't mean Yonko(only captain) > non-Yonko pirate crew...

Conclusion,
Given that Shanks is my 2nd overall fav. in OPV, I believe Shanks(with one arm) =< Mihawk High diff. at least...
