Not really,if you are in a company you have to follow it's rules(if you don't then you'll get banned),they call themselfes muslim but according to the holy Qur'an they're not,they're banned from Islam unless they accept the true Islam...

What you watched on TV was either messed up or might be one of the Jataka tales. They call them Bodhisatava..people with great compassion who attain a status of Buddha( enlightened) or buddhahood but they are not talking about the founder of the Buddhism in those tales but different people.

If one is to believe Buddhist tales ,the man lead an extremely sheltered life and didn't even know what a cripple is or what old age does to someone or that people die. When he came across these three for the first time in life as an adult he was shocked and realized he had been living in a false world and left to gain knowledge by himself. Whether this tale is to be taken literally or not it negates the idea of him getting in armed fight even, let alone leading an army.
