I would tell and you tell too. Shizune already said that Sakura was her mother anyway. The question was the birth records.

Btw, a birth record is basically time and date of birth, parents, and location. You mean to say that cannot be made after the fact? That's ridiculous.

I really wouldn't. It's not my place to tell my friend's daughter she's adopted or the circumstances of her family if the mother hasn't already. That is unless she's in danger, which she isn't.

There's no records in Konoha. Not wherever they were at during the time but why is this being brought up?

why sakura haruno is a housewife, an essay by numbers (age 8 and a half)

It’s been over two hundred pages, and we’ve never seen Sakura be at work. No character has said a word about Sakura’s job. And this is a comic where she’s a main character.

In Japan, the tradition is that a married mother stays at home. Sakura is a married mother in a world based on Japan. Kishimoto revealed Sasuke’s job, as well as Naruto’s, and lots of other characters’ occupations. There’s no reason to keep Sakura’s job secret if she’d had one.#

In the epilogue, she’s taking care of her household while everybody else is at work.
Kishimoto knows that if Sakura’s a married mom, and is at home when everybody else is at work, and never mentions a job for 200+ pages, his Japanese readers (and lots of the other readers too) will assume she’s a housewife. If he didn’t want them to assume that, he would have made it clear that she had a job.

At this point, Kishimoto’s had so much time to reveal her job that the only reason he wouldn’t do it is because he wants to keep it a secret (which is absurd). So yeah, I’d say she’s almost definitely a housewife. Anything else is theoretically possible but not likely. And that does strike me as a bit sexist.

Don’t get me wrong–there’s nothing wrong with being a housewife if you want to be. But when she never shows any desire to be a housweife before the epilogue, it’s a sign that Kishimoto just figured that it’d be a natural fit for her since she’s a woman. It’s not a pleasant thought, but that’s the only reason I can find that he’d make her a housewife.

I think it's pretty obvious that she's a housewife... Hell in the last chapter we saw Ino in uniform... So if the author wants you to know that a character is employed, he will draw some kind of indication that he or she is... Not sure why it matters that she's a housewife though... She still has her skills and if she's needed in battle she can still deliver.... Either way, why is it a surprise that she's a housewife? Its not like she had any ambition in the first place... Her entire dream was to be with Sasuke... Now she got him, the wife title, and has his kid... Career and skills be damned.

But you would say this:

Point is that them having no birth records is another plot hole.

You do realize you're assuming Shizune knows about all of that. Not only that, you're thinking about this way too hard. Also:

Above all else It isn't a plot hole, it's a lampshade.

You know how much shit Kishimoto has lampshaded throughout this entire series to make the plot work?

Shizune is the hokage's assistant and Sakura's friend. There is no reason why she shouldn't know when she left the village and why.

And a plot hole can mean an illogical event.

She was paying off a loan for a house so she may have a job but Kishi decides not to show it.

Dude, Sasuke is employed by the Leaf and his salary is likely second only to Naruto's. It was Sasuke's income that was likely paying the mortgage. And having a mortgage is NOT some sort of indication that they have money problems. Millionaires and billionaires take out mortgages and loans. In fact, to qualify for a mortgage, you have to demonstrate an ability to repay it and therefore demonstrate financial stability.

Wasn't Sasuke searching for the threat the whole time. Didn't Sasuke do that mission for his own reasons and not pay.

The reason would be for the sake of plot AKA lampshade....

once again this is a textbook lampshade, not a plot hole.

Yea he took on the mission bc he's the only one who could do it but it seems to me that he's doing it as a shinobi of the leaf who's acting for the benefit of the world and a bright future.

And the mere fact that they call it a "mission" as opposed to a journey or research or something tells me it's official so I don't see why he wouldn't get paid for it.

Well if you read in the OP, we're allowing awkward plot inconsistencies, red herrings, lampshades AND plotholes.

No, it's just two lampshades in the entire Gaiden in order to make the series work.

A Plot Hole is something like the movie Armageddon. Where they trained drillers to be astronauts instead the other-way around. (in which the words "Shut the **** up" was said in response to this)

That's a real plot hole or why Black Zetsu didn't just kill Naruto or Sasuke at Vote 1. (He was already banking on Madara and Obito anyway)

Think I know the basics of writing.
