I really don't see the heroism in his/her decision but I suppose that is because I feel the title hero is tossed around so casually now, I do however understand how jenner can be an inspiration to those in similar positions.

What if he wasn't famous, would he still get this kinda support after becoming a she? And how will people around her in day to day lives treat her, like any other women or differently? Those are the things I am interested in knowing.

Yes, she would. I have literally seen people who are not famous who transitioned be supported by hundreds, even thousands, on tumblr and twitter. Why are people acting like support for transsexuals started just for her yesterday?

I've seen support for both, among many other things,from support to people getting into college to funding people to get into college to support for the homeless/poor to support for minorities. It only came to my notice with this famous person doing it, I didn't even know it was a regular thing until now, it may not be very recent thing but it certainly isn't a common thing especially around the whole world(or maybe it's just my isolation of mainstream social media, could be anything).
